What's up, Rob here, Man Vs. Pin
It's real simple: You send me pins, I test them out
I got one in the comments a few weeks back from Dylan, about these LED Light Clouds
Which look pretty rad. And since Valentine's day is coming up, I figured, Clouds, Cupids, Love..Valentine's Day, I dunno.
Somehow it ties together
Materials: A bag of Polyfiber Fill, AKA, Pillow stuffing.
A small paper lantern, some fishing string or clear wire, a glue gun, a battery operated LED light
This is a simple push on, push off type.
First thing, I got myself a small paper lantern and assembled.
I got this one at IKEA for $5 and it's perfect because it has these 3 little feet on them
And that'll come in handy for the string in just a bit
This is the LÅTER, (Laugter, lal-latter?) Model.
I'm not really sure how it's pronounced in Sweden, but ah..that's..that's what you're looking at.
Since I'm not using the electrical assets, I'm going to simply place the LED push light right on to the center
of this little light frame right here and just tape it on.
I've read a lot of comments from people freaking out about this catching on fire, but I'm pretty sure we're safe
with that kinda light, right? You would think?
But if I'm wrong and your house burns down, don't blame me.
Next, I busted out my clear string and tied 3 equal pieces to each of those corner legs
Then I grabbed my glue gun and began to glue on clumps of the polyfiber fill, one section at a time
Pretty simple, just glue, pat it down, Repeat
Add a little here, add a little there,
When I was done, I took those 3 strings, tied it into a knot and hung it up
Once I saw it in action and looked at the shape, I decided to add bit of polyfiber fill here and there to
make it kinda more cloud-like. You do simply by just weaving it in with your fingers,
Ah, kinda similar to massaging a..sheep. If you've ever had to do that for some reason
Turned on the LED, turned off the lights and..I got myself a pretty *BLEEPING* awesome cloud light
Yeah, this thing is totally gonna come in handy. Maybe I'll make a few more
Or maybe I'll lock it away in my closet, to hoard it with all the other random craft projects I don't have room for
but continue to build each week..
If you've got a pin that you want me to build, test, or destroy, tell me about it in the comments below
Apparently Witch Angel is keeping track, Pin: 3 and Rob: 2.
Win next time so it can be a tie!
I believe I did, Witch Angel. I believe I did.
Keep those pins suggestions coming and check back next week for more Man Vs. Pin
We'll see you then
