Many English learners read the words before they learn how to say them.

So they end up saying too many syllables in the word, when really one syllable should just disappear.

そのため、実際には1つの音節が消えるべきなのに、単語に多くの音節を言ってしまうことになります。

This is because some words in English look like they have more syllables from the spelling than they actually do when we say them.

これは、英語の単語の中には、スペル上は音節が多いように見えても、実際に発音する際にはそうではないものがあるためです。

The reason we drop syllables is because the syllable is weak, so it's easier to say the word without that syllable.

音節を省略するのは、その音節が弱いため、その音節なしで単語を発音する方が簡単だからです。

The process of omitting weak syllables happens in lots of languages.

弱い音節を省略するプロセスは、多くの言語で見られます。

It's just that when something that wasn't important in the first place gradually goes away.

And lots of learners have problems with this when they first start learning English.

Let's take another look at the words I mispronounced at the beginning.

And here's a trick to help you see if there's a dropped syllable in the word, it's never the stressed syllables and it's always in the middle.

So try saying the word fast and see if the sound just disappears.
