These deities are a group of gods from which all the other gods descended They preceded the Titans, the descendants of Gaia and Uranus. The first twelve Titans include Oceanus, Cronus, Crius Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Rhea, and Themis. After Cronus overthrew his father Uranus, the Titans ruled, with Cronus as their head. Cronus is the father of the three most important gods of greek mythology: Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. A war was fought between Titans and Gods, but finally the gods triumphed with the aid of older powers. The defeated Titans were hauled down to Tartarus and imprisoned there. In Greek mythology, the Twelve Olympians are the major deities of the Greek pantheon, commonly considered to be Zeus, Hera Poseidon Demether, Athena, Apollo, Artemis Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes and either Hestia, or Dionysus Hades and Persephone were sometimes included as part of the twelve Olympians although in general Hades was excluded because he resided permanently in the underworld The Heroes! The most famous being: Hercules, Achilles, Jason, Perseus, and Theseus but including a great many more. All have divine parents and therefore bridge the gap between mortals and gods. They pursue fantastic adventures and epitomise ideal qualities such as perseverance, for example Hercules' twelve labours; or fidelity for example, Penelope´s waiting for her faithfull Odysseus. I hope you liked the video and thanks for watching. See you soon!
