to come and tell me all sorts of stories and things that he did on his shift. It sounded

real interesting, he kind of got me excited about it. So I decided hey I'll give it a

try. So I took a class through Lehigh Fire Department, they were nice enough to let me

come and to be in that class. They trained me to be a fire fighter, they put us through

all the things necessary to take the test through the state. I was able to take the

test. Once you get, once I got done with that I came and I was hired on as a volunteer here

at Pleasant Grove fire department. I volunteered for I'm going to guess probably about a year.

And after that point I went through my EMT basic class, I was able to finish that. Six

months later I was able to go through an EMT intermediate class. Just gives you a few more

skills that you can do. And gives you an opportunity to, to be better at what you are doing. More

learning is always better, more education. After that I was, the opportunity came up

where Pleasant Grove got a safer grant which allowed Pleasant Grove to hire full time guys

to staff the station. I went through the hiring process, did all the necessary things that

were required. And I was able to achieve a job and this is where I am now. I been here

full time for just about a month now. And so now I'm looking forward to other things,

more training, more opportunities to grow.
