What is needed for true revival?

真のリバイバルのために何が必要なのか？

I've been talking about it all around.

そのことはあちこちで話している。

You need repentance.

悔い改めが必要だ。

Without repentance there's no revival.

悔い改めなくしてリバイバルはない。

And all the great revivals, true revivals, come from repentance in some way.

そしてすべての偉大なリバイバル、真のリバイバルは、何らかの形で悔い改めから生まれる。

The Bible says it.

聖書にも書いてある。

It says set your heart not on these things but set your heart on what is above because that's where your life is.

これらのことに心を向けるのではなく、上にあるものに心を向けなさい。

You dwell in the heavenly.

How?

That's why the secret place is so crucial for you getting refreshed in God.

And you know we, we say, oh I have to pray, I have to pray.

And that's a way to stay unrefreshed.

We need the secret.

Every one of us, every day you need to be in the heavenlies of God.

If you don't have that you're going to get tired.

You need to have time where you're just dwelling in what is heavenly.

Every day in God's presence.

But the key isn't just don't, don't just go in there for a moment and do your time.

Five minutes you know.

And don't just spend the whole time in the heaven, in God's presence dwelling on the earthly things.

Yes it says lift everything up to Him.

That's right.

But then it says give thanks.

You're thank, you're not dwelling on the problem anymore.

You thanked Him.

You're thanking Him.

You're in a whole other thing.

But so lift it up to Him.

But the key is if you're going into the heavenly places to dwell on the earth that's not imagine we all got to heaven and all we're talking about is the problems on earth.

That, well that's the same thing.

If you're in God's presence you have to forget and let go of the things around, of the earth.

That's the whole point.

That's what's going to give you the refreshing.

それが爽快感を与えてくれるんだ。

And that's going to give you power to go back and deal with everything in life because you were, you had a vacation.

When you come back from the heavenly, but you're going to be refreshed, you're going to have power.

天国から帰ってきたら、でも、リフレッシュしてパワーがあるはずだ。

You're going to have, you're going to have that.

You know where, you know with, there's heaven and earth.

天と地がある。

Where, where do showers come from?

シャワーはどこから来るの？

Not from heaven, not from earth, but from the heavens.

So in the spiritual that's where refreshing comes from.

Showers from heaven.

The showers of the Spirit which goes to the next key.

You want refreshing.

リフレッシュしたいのだろう。

I don't care if you're a Baptist, Pentecostal or Lutheran or whatever.

バプテストでもペンテコステでもルーテルでも何でもいい。

You have to dwell in the Spirit of God.

神の霊に宿らなければならない。

The Spirit of God is, the Bible describes it as water.

神の霊とは、聖書はそれを水と表現している。

It comes down to dry land and gives life.

So it's like this is dry land.

Your, your life is like dry.

And then the Spirit comes and all of a sudden it fills up.

This, it becomes, it becomes drenched with water and it starts bringing forth life.

God says I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.

God says I will pour water on the dry ground, the thirsty ground.

And I'll give you rivers in the wilderness.

In the flesh we get tired.

So how do we take a break?

From the flesh by dwelling in the Spirit.

The only, what's, you got the flesh, you got the Spirit.

You don't have anything else.

It's, the only way not to be in the flesh is to be in the Spirit.

Because if you're not in the Spirit you're going to be in the flesh.

And you're going to be, you're going to be living in selfishness.

You're living in, but when you're living in the Spirit of God that's the only antidote which frees us up.

And when you go, you know, when you live in God's Spirit, which is the Spirit of love, it's not selfishness, it's love, that actually lightens you up.

When you're focused on yourself it weighs you down.

The more you're focusing on yourself, it doesn't matter if it's pride, or fear, or whatever, or self, self survival, you're going to get weighed down.

But when you are focused on, when you're living in the Spirit of love you're lightened up.

It gives you refreshing right there.

Seek the Spirit of God.

Seek to dwell in the Spirit.

To rejoice.

Get into the things of the Spirit.

御霊のことに没頭するのだ。

Rejoice in the things of the Spirit.

御霊のことを喜べ。

There's going to be revival in that.

そこに復活がある。

There's going to be renewal in that.

その中でリニューアルがあるだろう。

There's going to be refreshing in that.

爽やかさがあるだろう。

When you're flowing in the Spirit you don't get tired.

スピリットで流れているときは疲れない。

Your flesh might be tired but it almost doesn't matter.

肉体は疲れているかもしれないが、それはほとんど問題ではない。

I don't know if you know what I'm talking about.

何を言っているのか分からないかもしれない。

If you have experienced this.

もしこのような経験をしたことがあるのなら。

When you're flowing in the Spirit it just revives you.

聖霊の流れに身を任せていると、それだけで活力が湧いてくる。

It just, it just is life.

It's life.

When you're praising God and flowing like a fountain it's life.

Now this is similar to that but a little bit different.

And that is, it says in Psalm 103 verse 5, who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

How many people need their youth renewed?

Isaiah 40 verse 30.

Even youth grow tired and weary and young men fail.

But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

They will mount up with wings as eagles.

They will run and not be weary.

They'll walk and not faint.

Those who wait upon the Lord.

The, the Hebrew there word is kavah.

ヘブライ語では "kavah "という。

Try it.

We get the word, you know the national anthem of, of Israel is hatikvah.

イスラエルの国歌はハティクヴァだ。

It comes from kavah, tikvah.

これはカヴァ、ティクヴァから来ている。

It means, it could say wait upon the Lord.

つまり、主を待ち望め、という意味だ。

That's all I'm sitting around.

それしか座っていないんだ。

It means hope in the Lord.

主を信じる希望という意味だ。

It's not a passive thing.

受動的なものではない。

It means expecting from God.

それは神に期待するということだ。

It means looking to God, focusing on God.

神に目を向け、神に集中するということだ。

They're going to, they're the ones who are going to renew their strength.

彼らこそ、力を新たにするのだ。

It says even the youth, even young, no matter how young you are, no matter how much, how much you exercise and how much every flesh gets tired, the Hebrew means exhausted or faint, weak.

どんなに若くても、どんなに運動しても、どんなに肉体が疲れても、ヘブライ語では疲れ果てる、気絶する、弱くなるという意味だ。

That's how you can feel.

そう感じることができる。

But those who are in God's presence, those who are looking to God, look, waiting upon God, being in his presence, they are going to renew their strength.

しかし、神の臨在の中にいる者、神を見つめている者、神を待ち望んでいる者、神の臨在の中にいる者は、力を新たにする。

It means the word in Hebrew halaf can mean also, they will, it also means go forward.

ヘブライ語のハラフには、前進するという意味もある。

They're the ones who are going to go forward.

彼らが前進するんだ。

Sometimes you might feel like I can't go forward.

前に進めないと感じることもあるかもしれない。

The power of God is going to, gives you the power to go forward.

神の力が、前進する力を与えてくれる。

It also means to spring up.

また、湧き上がるという意味もある。

Sprout.

Spring up.

春だ。

They will, and they will mount up in the Lord's power.

Now this is a very important key I'm going to tell you right now that you wouldn't think is part of refreshing.

Maybe not.

Or renewing.

But it is.

Crucial.

One of the keys to have the refreshing of God on your life is repentance.

When you think of repentance you don't usually think of refreshing.

悔い改めというと、普通はリフレッシュを思い浮かべない。

You think of, oh repent.

悔い改めよ。

Repent.

悔い改めよ。

You know.

知っているだろう。

But you know what?

でもね。

Sin drains you.

罪はあなたを消耗させる。

The more you're out of God's will the more it's going to drain your life.

神の意志から外れれば外れるほど、それはあなたの人生を消耗させることになる。

And it also goes back to the Spirit too, because another word as some of you know for the Spirit in Hebrew is ruach, which means, it sounds like what it is.

ヘブライ語で御霊を意味するもう一つの言葉は、ご存知の方もいらっしゃると思いますが、ルアック（ruach）です。

It means the, the wind.

風を意味する。

Ruach.

ルアック。

It means the wind.

風を意味する。

And the thing is if you're walking against the will of God you're walking against the wind.

It's going to get, it's going to become a drag.

このままでは足手まといになってしまう。

It's going to create drag.

足を引っ張ることになる。

It's going to become a, it's going to become tiring.

疲れるだろうね。

But when you turn around and you walk with the Spirit it doesn't become a drag.

しかし、振り返って御霊とともに歩むとき、それは足かせにはならない。

It starts becoming a breeze.

風になってくる。

Sin drains you but repentance actually brings refreshing to your life.

罪はあなたを消耗させるが、悔い改めは実際にあなたの人生に清々しさをもたらす。

Think about it.

You know we talk about refreshing, renewal, revival.

リフレッシュ、リニューアル、リバイバルについて話しているのは知っているだろう。

What is needed for true revival?

真のリバイバルのために何が必要なのか？

I've been talking about it all around.

Without repentance there's no revival.

And all the great revivals, true revivals, come from repentance in some way.

And they produce repentance.

そして悔い改めを生み出す。

They, and revival, and repentance also brings revival.

彼ら、そしてリバイバル、悔い改めもまたリバイバルをもたらす。

They go together.

Why?

Because when people repent there's life coming in.

There's renewing and refreshing comes in.

Listen to this scripture.

This is from Acts.

Repent therefore and turn again that your sins may be blotted out and that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

悔い改めて立ち返り、罪を消し去り、主の御前から清めの時が来るようにしなさい。

Repent and turn again.

悔い改めて、もう一度立ち返る。

I'm not saying repent so that you're not going to be judged.

裁かれないために悔い改めなさいと言っているのではない。

That's true too.

それもそうだ。

But it says repent that times of refreshing will come from the presence of the Lord.

しかし、主の臨在からさわやかな時が来ることを悔い改めよと書いてある。

That's the only time you see that phrase in the Bible.

聖書でこのフレーズを目にするのはこの時だけだ。

Times of refreshing will come when you repent.

悔い改めれば、さわやかな時が来る。

Repentance brings refreshing in your life.

悔い改めは人生に清々しさをもたらす。

When you repent you're putting away that which is draining you.

悔い改めるということは、自分を消耗させているものを捨てるということだ。

That which is tiring you.

あなたを疲れさせるもの。

Maybe you have an idol in your life.

もしかしたら、あなたにはアイドルがいるかもしれない。

That idol you're putting all your focus on this thing.

そのアイドルは、このことに全力を注いでいる。

It could be a worry.

心配かもしれない。

It could be a thing that you're lusting for.

それはあなたが欲しているものかもしれない。

But it's ... you're indulging in it.

でも......あなたはそれに甘んじている。

It's an idol and it's draining you of life and refreshing.

それは偶像であり、あなたの人生とリフレッシュを奪っている。

But when you put it away it's going to open the door for the refreshing, the life of God.

You've got a sin.

You've got a bondage.

That's going to drain you.

それでは消耗してしまう。

Repent and refreshing will come.

You got something you're focusing on all the time.

Might be anger.

怒りかもしれない。

Might be bitterness.

苦味かもしれない。

Might be jealousy.

嫉妬かもしれない。

It's draining you.

消耗しているんだ。

Put it away.

片付けるんだ。

Repent of it and refreshing will come.

悔い改めればリフレッシュできる。

It can be a relationship that's not of God.

神のものではない関係になることもある。

Put it away and refreshing will come to your life.

それを捨てれば、人生に清々しさが訪れる。

I remember in my life, years and years ago there was a relationship that was not sinful.

私の人生の中で、何年も何年も前に、罪のない関係があったことを覚えている。

It was ... except it just wasn't God's will, years and years ago.

そうだった......ただ、何年も何年も前に、それが神の意志ではなかったことを除いてはね。

And I remember that I had to put it, say I have to put this away.

It just wasn't God's will.

And when I did, there was renewal, refreshing, revival.

It's going to renew you.
