I've had enough of winter.

冬にうんざりしてしまった。

I never thought I would say this.

こんなことを言うとは思わなかった。

Winter is my favourite season, but I've had enough of winter.

冬は私の好きな季節だが、もう冬にはうんざりだ。

It's the middle of February and it won't seem to end.

2月半ばだが、終わりが見えない。

In this English lesson I'm going to teach you six different phrases we use to talk about something we don't like or that we don't like anymore.

この英語レッスンでは、何かが嫌いになったり、もう好きではなくなったりした時に使う6つの表現を教える。

When I say I've had enough of winter it means I don't like winter anymore, at least for this year.

「I've had enough of winter」と言うのは、少なくとも今年は冬が好きではなくなったという意味だ。

I'm sure next year I will enjoy it again, but right now that's your first new English phrase.

来年はまた楽しめると思うが、これが最初の新しい英語表現だ。

I've had enough of winter.

冬にはうんざりだ。

I'm ready for it to end.

早く終わってほしい。

One of the things you have to do in the winter is you have to clean your car off every morning and quite honestly I've had my fill of winter.

冬にしなければならないことの一つは、毎朝車の雪を払うことで、正直言って冬には飽き飽きしている。

I've had my fill of cleaning off my cars every morning so that I can drive them.

運転するために毎朝車の雪を払うことには飽き飽きしている。

When you eat something eventually you're full and we use this same phrase to describe when we don't like doing something anymore.

何かを食べているとやがて満腹になるが、この同じ表現を何かが好きではなくなった時にも使う。

I've definitely had my fill of getting up early to clean off my van and getting up early to start my van so that I can go drive it somewhere.

バンを運転するために早起きして雪を払い、エンジンをかけることには完全に飽き飽きしている。

I've had my fill.

もう十分だ。

So every day I have to shovel the entranceway and it's getting old.

毎日入り口を雪かきしなければならず、それがうんざりしてきている。

In English when you say something is getting old it means you're tired of doing it.

英語で「getting old」と言うのは、それをすることに飽きたという意味だ。

It means you don't want to do it anymore.

もうそれをしたくないという意味だ。

At the beginning of the winter it was kind of exciting.

冬の始めは少しわくわくした。

I built this new area last summer and it's nice and flat and smooth so I enjoyed shoveling it but now it's getting old.

去年の夏にこの新しいエリアを作り、平らで滑らかだったので雪かきを楽しんでいたが、今はうんざりしている。

I'm starting to dream of warmer weather.

暖かい天気を夢見始めている。

I'm starting to dream of a time where I can come out in the morning and I don't have to shovel this because this is getting old meaning I'm not enjoying it anymore.

朝出てきて雪かきをしなくていい時期を夢見始めている、なぜならこれがうんざりしてきているからだ、つまりもう楽しくないということだ。

I could also say I'm done with winter.

冬はもう終わりにしたいとも言える。

When you say you are done with something it means that you don't want to experience it anymore or you don't want to do it anymore.

「done with」と言うのは、もうそれを経験したくない、もうそれをしたくないという意味だ。

Later today I have to get out my tractor with the snow blower so that I can clean the driveway and quite honestly it's a little too cold for that.

後で除雪機付きのトラクターを出して車道の雪かきをしなければならないが、正直言って寒すぎる。

It's minus 10.

マイナス10度だ。

It's going to be minus 15 with the wind chill factor so I'm done with winter.

体感温度でマイナス15度になるので、冬はもういい。

I'm done with it.

もう終わりだ。

I want to go to Florida.

フロリダに行きたい。

I want to go somewhere warm but unfortunately that won't be happening.

暖かいところに行きたいが、残念ながらそれは無理だ。

So when you no longer enjoy doing something you sometimes will say I'm done with it.

何かをすることを楽しめなくなった時、「I'm done with it」と言うことがある。

When something is fun and then it gets annoying eventually you might say I'm done with it.

楽しかったことが最終的にイライラすることになった時、「I'm done with it」と言うかもしれない。

I just want it to go away.

消えてほしいだけだ。

So sorry winter, my favorite season but I'm done with you.

だから申し訳ないが、お気に入りの季節の冬よ、もういい。

I want spring to come soon.

早く春が来てほしい。

How are you liking the weather?

天気はどう思う？

I think I want to go inside.

中に入りたいと思う。

I'm so done.

本当にもういい。

I rarely say that.

めったに言わないが。

I'm so done with winter.

冬には本当にもううんざりだ。

Yeah, I still like it but, I mean, a white beard.

まだ好きだけど、でも、白いひげが。

As many of you know I like to go for a walk every day but when the snow is this deep I have to say I'm sick of it.

多くの人が知っているように、私は毎日散歩に行くのが好きだが、雪がこんなに深いと、うんざりだと言わざるを得ない。

I'm tired of it.

疲れた。

I'm sick of trying to walk when the snow is almost up to my knees.

膝まで届きそうな雪の中を歩くのにはうんざりしている。

I'm tired of trying to go for a walk and the snow is this deep.

散歩に行こうとして雪がこんなに深いのには疲れた。

I mean, it just makes it really, really challenging to take each step.

一歩一歩が本当に本当に大変になる。

So I'm sick of it.

だからうんざりしている。

I'm tired of it.

疲れた。

In English when you say you're sick of something or you're tired of something it simply means you wish the situation was different.

英語で「sick of」や「tired of」と言うのは、単に状況が違っていてほしいと願っているという意味だ。

So I'm a little bit sick of walking in the deep snow.

だから深い雪の中を歩くのには少しうんざりしている。

I'm a little tired of it but I'm pretty sure spring will come soon and then I'll be able to go for a walk as fast as I want to.

少し疲れたが、きっとすぐに春が来て、好きな速さで散歩できるようになるだろう。

I'm sick of winter.

冬にはうんざりだ。

So Jen and I put these nice orange things along our driveway so that you can see where the driveway is.

ジェンと私は車道がどこにあるか分かるように、このオレンジ色のものを車道に沿って置いた。

But sometimes a delivery person will come and they'll drive off the driveway and I'm fed up with that.

でも配達の人が来て車道から外れて運転することがあり、それにはうんざりしている。

So I'm fed up with winter but I'm fed up with people driving on my lawn as well.

冬にもうんざりしているが、芝生の上を運転する人にもうんざりしている。

In English when you say you're fed up with something it means you no longer like it.

英語で「fed up with」と言うのは、もはやそれが好きではないという意味だ。

It's something that's happening over and over again and you want it to stop.

何度も何度も起こっていて、止めてほしいことだ。

So there's two things I'm fed up with.

だから2つのことにうんざりしている。

I'm fed up with people driving on my lawn.

芝生の上を運転する人にはうんざりしている。

Like can't you see there's an orange stake here?

ここにオレンジ色の杭があるのが見えないのか？

Don't go past it.

それを越えないでほしい。

And I'm also fed up with winter.

そして冬にもうんざりしている。

But I have to admit something here, a little secret.

でもここで小さな秘密を告白しなければならない。

The last person that drove on the lawn was actually me.

芝生の上を最後に運転したのは実は私だった。

I was driving backwards yesterday and it was hard to see where I was going.

昨日バックで運転していて、どこに行くのか見るのが難しかった。

There was ice on the mirrors of my car and I actually drove on the lawn.

車のミラーに氷が張っていて、実際に芝生の上を運転してしまった。

So I'm fed up with other people driving on the lawn and I drove on the lawn myself.

だから他の人が芝生の上を運転することにはうんざりしているが、自分も芝生の上を運転してしまった。
