In this video on shoot like a pro, our series on helping you to improve your mobile phone photography, we're going to see how understanding light can improve your mobile phone photography.

In the previous video we saw how by understanding the light and how by introducing a diffusion you can improve a portrait.

前回のビデオでは、光を理解し、ディフュージョンを導入することでポートレートをどのように改善できるかを見た。

In this video we're going to see something similar again by understanding the light, how to improve texture in the video.

このビデオでは、光を理解することで、また同じようなものを見ることができる。

Now look at the light falling on this side of the pillar.

さて、柱のこちら側に降り注ぐ光を見てみよう。

The pillar has some structure on the surface and the light is exactly like how the light was falling in the first instance on Vishnu's face.

柱は表面に何らかの構造を持っており、光はヴィシュヌの顔に最初に降り注いだのとまったく同じである。

Let me take this shot.

撮らせてください。

Okay now on this side of the pillar the structure is exactly the same but the Now see the difference between this and this.

さて、今度は柱のこちら側だが、構造はまったく同じだ。 これとこれの違いを見てほしい。

Both sides have similar structure but just the way the sunlight is falling on them making it look very different.

どちらの面も同じような構造をしているが、太陽光の当たり方によってまったく違って見える。

This one looks flat, this one feels like it's got a lot of texture.

こちらは平坦に見え、こちらは質感があるように感じる。

This will happen exactly the same way when you shoot people with costumes or dress with If you add texture purposely okay on layer them with clothes with some texture on it you will be able to enhance the look and feel of that image.

これは、コスチュームやドレスを着た人たちを撮影するときとまったく同じように起こる。 テクスチャーを意図的に加えて、テクスチャーのある服を重ねれば、そのイメージのルック＆フィールを高めることができる。

Let's see how we can do it.

Okay so I think I will require Aditya and Mitt.

Okay now let me look at this image.

Okay so this is interesting but we can make it a little more interesting by one adding a layer, second taking the light from you know from extremely you know fine angle.

Okay ready so can you stand there?

Can we have the jackets please?

It's got so much of texture in it and it's got a different feel completely.

This is how we shot.

Okay like a picnic shot.

We added a layer and we moved to the portrait mode and see the kind of textures adding character.

Okay it will look even better if we convert this into black and white.

では、これを白黒に変換すればもっとよく見えるだろう。

So see that black and white.

だから、白黒はっきりさせるんだ。

Now the black and white looks even better.

Now we will see how we can operate in the expert or the pro mode in low-light conditions because brightly lit conditions by and large is very safe but in low-light conditions mobile phone cameras behave a little differently.

というのも、明るい場所での撮影は非常に安全だが、暗い場所では携帯電話のカメラは少し異なる挙動を示すからだ。

And there the pro mode or the expert mode will help you to get better images.

また、プロモードやエキスパートモードは、より良い画像を得るのに役立つだろう。

For the demonstration of low-light photography I have identified a location inside our building reception.

低照度撮影のデモンストレーションのために、私は当ビルのレセプション内の場所を特定した。

It's the mailbox room.

So this is the mailbox room which I want to shoot and demonstrate the low-light ability of this mobile phone.

And this is not exactly the light we have in this room.

そして、これはこの部屋にある光ではない。

It's much darker.

もっと暗い。

For you know filming purpose we are using an LED light bounced on the ceiling which will go off.

We'll switch it off while taking the shot.

So let me explain the setup for this shot.

I'm using a selfie stick to hold the camera up and I'm using the headphones to trigger.

自撮り棒でカメラを固定して、ヘッドホンでトリガーをかけているんだ。

You can also use a Bluetooth you know trigger or you can use the self timer in the camera.

知っているBluetoothのトリガーを使うこともできるし、カメラのセルフタイマーを使うこともできる。

But I've decided to use a headphone to trigger the camera.

しかし、私はカメラのトリガーにヘッドホンを使うことにした。

Okay so I'm going to be shooting in three modes.

じゃあ、3つのモードで撮影することにするよ。

First is auto mode which which is what the camera would decide for you.

まずオートモードだが、これはカメラが決めてくれるものだ。

Second is the night mode which is kind of an intelligent mode which is in the camera.

2つ目はナイトモードで、カメラに搭載されているインテリジェントモードのようなものだ。

And third is the pro mode or the expert mode.

そして3つ目がプロモード、エキスパートモードだ。

And we will compare these three images and see how they kind of compare and how they match up.

そして、これら3つの画像を比較し、それらがどのように比較され、どのように一致するかを見ていく。

Okay into the shoot.

よし、撮影に入ろう。

Let me set up the camera.

カメラを準備させてください。

Okay I'm going to get set the levels right.

Okay so the camera is set.

The first shot I'm going to take is in auto mode.

最初に撮るのはオートモードだ。

Aditya can you switch off the light.

Okay now this is the kind of light that we have in this place.

Ready standing by and I'm going to take the auto.

Okay and now let me go to the night mode.

Okay night mode is decided by the camera and it will do its own thing.

夜間モードはカメラが勝手に決める。

So I have no control over it.

Let me take the shot.

So as you can see the camera is shooting multiple exposures and then trying to put it together using a software which is inside the camera app.

Right now we are in expert mode.

今はエキスパートモードだ。

Okay can you switch on the lights please.

じゃあ、照明をつけてくれる？

In expert mode you have two controls to yourself.

エキスパートモードでは、2つのコントロールができる。

One is the ISO, second is the shutter speed.

ひとつはISO、もうひとつはシャッタースピードだ。

Okay ISO behaves a little differently in each situations.

ISOは状況によって少し異なる。

All ISO speeds are not a guarantee for good quality images.

すべてのISO感度が高画質を保証するものではない。

Especially when you shoot low-light situations.

特に光量の少ないシチュエーションを撮影するときは。

A higher ISO will also bring in a lot of noise.

ISO感度を上げるとノイズも多くなる。

A lower ISO is preferred.

ISOは低い方が好ましい。

When you lower the ISO you also have to lower the shutter speed.

ISOを下げるとシャッタースピードも下げなければならない。

Hence I'm using a stand.

だからスタンドを使っている。

Currently the 900 as the ISO and this camera can go to 100 ISO which is something which I will prefer.

現在、ISOは900だが、このカメラはISO100まで設定できる。

Now at 100 ISO the camera is asking you to shoot at 1 by 10 of a second.

ISO100の場合、カメラは1×10秒で撮影するように要求している。

Not really.

I think I have to shoot at probably at one second.

Okay let me take that shot.

The camera is steady.

Okay now we should compare two images.

Can we switch on the lights?

We're going to compare these three images now.

Now let me look at the shot that we took first which is the shadow area and try to you know enlarge it.

では、最初に撮った影の部分を拡大してみましょう。

You will see lots and lots of grains here.

ここにはたくさんの穀物がある。

Okay let's go to the next shot.

さて、次のショットに行こう。

It's nice and bright.

明るくていい感じだ。

In fact a little brighter than what I would have preferred.

実際、私が望んだものより少し明るかった。

But everything is so smooth.

でも、すべてがスムーズなんだ。

So artificially smooth and so basically what the camera has tried or rather the software has tried is to soften all you know not so good like grains etc.

つまり、人工的に滑らかにすることで、基本的にカメラが試みたというか、ソフトウェアが試みたのは、粒状感など、あまりよくないものを和らげることだ。

They've really softened it.

本当に柔らかくなった。

Now to the shot that we took manually using the expert mode.

さて、エキスパートモードを使ってマニュアルで撮影した写真だ。

Okay it's clean if you notice.

オーケー......気づいたらきれいになっているよ。

Okay go to the darkest area where you are likely to find grains.

では、穀物がありそうな一番暗い場所に行ってみよう。

Even that area is clean.

そのエリアでさえも清潔だ。

Okay we shot at one second.

よし、1秒で撮影した。

Okay and now let me try two and a half second.

では、2秒半を試してみよう。

Even at two and a half seconds you can't really.

2秒半でも無理だよ。

Lights please.

ライトをお願いします。

You can't really find any grains in the image.

画像の中に粒子は見つからない。

Let me show you a few more examples.

もう少し例を挙げよう。

Okay lights off.

よし、消灯だ。

Okay virtually no light here.

ここは事実上、光がない。

Shooting in auto.

オートで撮影。

Okay the next one is the night mode.

さて、次はナイトモードだ。

Okay and now the expert mode.

さて、次はエキスパートモードだ。

In expert mode the idea is to get the lowest ISO and let me give a three second exposure.

エキスパートモードでは、ISOを最低にし、3秒の露出をさせる。

Oh Two words about this camera.

このカメラについて2つの言葉がある。

Well the Oppo F11 Pro has 48 megapixels in the rear camera.

Oppo F11 Proのリアカメラは4800万画素。

The main camera.

メインカメラ。

Imagine two bars of chocolates both of same size and weight.

同じ大きさ、同じ重さの2つの板チョコレートを想像してほしい。

One has 12 pieces in it and the other has 24 pieces in it.

ひとつは12個入り、もうひとつは24個入りだ。

Even though one of them has 24 pieces in it technically you are not getting more chocolates but you're going to spend more time trying to break 24 pieces and in almost all mobile phone cameras are the same.

たとえ1つの中に24個のチョコレートが入っていたとしても、技術的にはチョコレートの数は増えないが、24個のチョコレートを割るのに多くの時間を費やすことになる。

But here they are packed in 48 megapixels.

しかし、ここではそれらが4800万画素に詰め込まれている。

Okay which means the camera must have a very powerful processor to process all that digital signal that is coming into the processor.

つまり、カメラには、プロセッサーに入力されるすべてのデジタル信号を処理するために、非常に強力なプロセッサーが必要だということだ。

Quickly process it and show it to you as image which can be viewed.

それを素早く処理し、閲覧可能な画像として表示する。

Because the digital signal by itself cannot be viewed.

デジタル信号単体では見ることができないからだ。

So it's important that the camera also have a very high quality fast processor which is exactly what the MediaTek Helio P70 does.

そのため、カメラにも非常に高品質で高速なプロセッサーを搭載することが重要であり、MediaTek Helio P70はまさにそれを実現している。

Very interesting feature which this phone has and we have not tried is the front-facing camera which keeps appearing while you're doing the selfie.

この携帯電話が持っていて、私たちが試していない非常に興味深い機能は、自撮りをしている間、ずっと現れ続ける前面カメラである。

But we didn't try that because I'm not really fond of doing selfies.

Who knows we'll do another session entirely based on how to shoot selfies.
