In less than two weeks, I packed everything.

I left a country where I had spent my teenage years and adult years.

Where I turned 18, held someone's hand for the first time, learned about love, got my first real job, and picture a future.

The place I once called home.

And that was it.

それで終わりだった。

I found myself back in my hometown.

気がつくと故郷に戻っていた。

A place that felt familiar yet at the same time foreign.

慣れ親しんだ場所でありながら、同時に異国でもある。

I didn't know what to think.

どう考えていいかわからなかった。

Everything felt like a dream.

すべてが夢のように感じられた。

But every day I woke up and realized that this was reality.

でも、毎日目が覚めて、これが現実なんだと気づいた。

And the weight of loneliness and uncertainty just grew with each passing day.

そして孤独と不安の重みは、日を追うごとに増していった。

Yet in that weird moment of despair, I also started to feel free.

Perhaps this is my chance to start fresh again.

So I went to get this.

Yeah, so where was I?

So after I moved back, I really wanted to push my limit and explore different things before I go back to working at a corporate.

And I only had a vague idea of what I want to try.

そして、何をやってみたいか、漠然としたアイデアしかなかった。

But I didn't have any clear plans.

So what happened was I started, we started up with some friends.

Which didn't really work out in the end.

結局、うまくいかなかった。

But I learned a lot.

でも、多くのことを学んだ。

And I also tried auditioning for the first time.

そして、初めてオーディションにも挑戦した。

Just thought it would be really fun.

ただ、本当に楽しいと思ったんだ。

And somehow I got signed by an agency.

そしてどうにかエージェンシーと契約することができた。

And honestly, I'm not sure where this is all gonna take me.

正直なところ、この先どうなるかわからない。

And sometimes I do have moments where I kind of contemplate on the decisions that I've made.

そして時々、自分の下した決断について考える瞬間があるんだ。

One thing that I was certain about was, I knew if I didn't do this now, I would definitely regret a year from now.

ひとつだけ確信があったのは、今やらなければ、1年後に必ず後悔するということだった。

And the later it is, the higher the stakes become.

そして、それが遅ければ遅いほど、賭け金は高くなる。

So I like this quote a lot by John Maxwell.

だから、私はジョン・マクスウェルのこの言葉が好きなんだ。

He said, feel early, feel often, but always feel forward.

早く感じ、頻繁に感じ、しかし常に前向きに感じろ、と。

So even though there happen and there still are a lot of struggles, I'm also learning a lot.

だから、今でも苦労はたくさんあるけれど、学ぶこともたくさんある。

Learning more about who I am, what I want, and what I'm good at, what I'm passionate about.

自分が何者なのか、何を望んでいるのか、何が得意なのか、何に情熱を持っているのかをもっと学ぶ。

You just gotta try it out.

とにかく試してみることだ。

Experiment in yourself.

自分の中で実験する。

And iterate as you go.

それを繰り返しながら進めていく。

And with all the unpredictability of life, I guess you never know what opportunities might come along the way and how your mindset could change.

そして、人生には予測不可能なことがあるものだから、その過程でどんなチャンスが訪れ、自分の考え方がどう変わるかもわからない。

So yeah, I'm also learning that the thing so-called destination is actually more like a moving target.

そうそう、いわゆる目的地というのは、実は動いている目標のようなものだということも分かってきた。

All you need is a general direction.

必要なのは大まかな方向性だけだ。

I don't know the full path.

フルパスは知らない。

It's just like sailing a boat on the Pacific Ocean.

太平洋でボートを走らせるようなものだ。

You steer in the general direction, keep moving forward, adjusting your course as you go.

大まかな方向に舵を取り、前進を続け、進路を調整しながら進む。

And it's okay if you make mistakes and derail a bit sometimes.

失敗しても、脱線してもいいんだ。

You never know what might happen.

何が起こるかわからない。

Trust the process.

プロセスを信頼する。

Believe in yourself and the work you put in.

自分自身と、自分が打ち込んだ仕事を信じること。

Like Steve Jobs once said, you cannot connect the dots looking forward.

かつてスティーブ・ジョブズが言ったように、前を見ていては点と点を結ぶことはできない。

You can only connect them looking backwards.

後ろ向きにしかつながらない。

Instead of focusing on the outcome, set goals based on your effort and actions.

結果に焦点を当てるのではなく、努力と行動に基づいて目標を設定する。

Take one step a day, every day, no matter how big or small it is.

大小にかかわらず、毎日、一日一歩を踏み出す。

Be patient with the process.

そのプロセスを辛抱強く見守ること。

Be kind to yourself.

自分に優しく。

Know that great things don't come easily.

偉大なことは簡単にはやってこないことを知っている。

Great things come from hard work and perseverance.

偉大なものは努力と忍耐から生まれる。

Remember to celebrate your small wins.

小さな勝利を祝うことを忘れずに。

Acknowledge your efforts and give yourself grace when things don't go as planned.

自分の努力を認め、物事が計画通りに進まないときは自分に恵みを与える。

You are on a journey of growth and self-discovery.

あなたは成長と自分探しの旅をしている。

And that's what life is about.

人生とはそういうものだ。

And most importantly, always remember to have fun and enjoy the journey.

そして最も重要なことは、常に楽しみ、旅を楽しむことを忘れないことだ。

Don't pursue happiness.

幸福を追い求めるな。

Rather, understand that happiness is to pursue.

むしろ、幸福とは追い求めることだと理解することだ。
