Heyyy what's up everyone. My name is definitely Sunnyfall and it's a perfectly normal Monday,
the day I always upload of course, so I figured I'd shake up your day with something no
one has ever done before: a top 10 list. Oh sure, you might think it's boring or plain
but don't worry. I have the best most rockingest top 10 list you've ever seen heading your
way so, before I even say anything, make sure you like this video, subscribe, ring that
bell, join my Patreon, join my discord, follow me on every platform in existence, and pledge
your loyalty to the channel.
Done? Great! Now let's get right into that countdown.
Number 10: Top 10 Favorite Super editions
Number 10: Tigerheart's Shadow, because something has to be in 10th place
Number 9: Riverstar's Home, because half of it was forced to be at least okay and there
was no converting other groups this time Number 8: Skyclan's Destiny, because if Stick
and Sharpclaw could never speak again we'd have some nice clan politics to look at
Number 7: Bramblestar's Storm, because S-I got way too attached to those kittypets
Number 6: Graystripe's Vow, because half of it was good and it's got a gay couple and
some roleplayers Number 5: Firestar's Quest, because uh it's
average, not the worst or anything Number 4: Bluestar's Prophecy, because despite
its flaws in the timeline, as a standalone book it's not half-bad
Number 3: Crookedstar's Promise, because *someone* got way too attached to the community of this
place Number 2: Hawkwing's Journey, it's got a
surprisingly haunting mood and a stupid as heck protagonist we can all love
And Number 1: Tallstar's Revenge, a nice tight story with a focus on characters and development
Obviously this one would rank low, because, 1, who even cares about just super editions
and nothing else? And 2, there's only like 16 super editions. If you didn't make it
on this list, it's because I really don't like you, but I only honestly care about like…these
four.
Number 9: Top 10 Favorite Books: The Old Bad Version
Number 10: Crookedstar's Promise, because I already explained this one
Number 9: Sunrise, because I remembered it for Hollyleaf
Number 8: Hollyleaf's Story, because it's better in my head
Number 7: Forest of Secrets, because I remembered it being good when I was a kid
Number 6: Long Shadows, because I remembered it for Hollyleaf
Number 5: Thunder, because it's an actually good new book bucking all those Warriors trends
Number 4: Tallstar's Revenge, because I explained this one too
Number 3: The First Battle, because it's the best Dawn of the Clans book and I wanted
some DoTC rep when I made this list Number 2: The Darkest Hour, because it's
like actually good but I don't care enough about the first arc cast anymore
And Number 1: The Forgotten Warrior, because I remembered it for Hollyleaf *and* it's
better in my head
Some years ago or something I just made a favorite book list by plopping on some books
I remembered liking randomly. The only alteration I made now was adding in Thunder, but even
now I know it's not even remotely right. Bad list. Don't even believe it.
Number 8: Top 10 Favorite Books: The Running Version
Number 10: Long Shadows, because I sorta like each of the book thirds individually but all
of 'em could've been way better if they were like actually the story
Number 9: Forest of Secrets, because it's still pretty good and the first arc is solid
Number 8: Bluestar's Prophecy, because when I took it out of context of the series I actually
liked the darn thing for the character journey and stuff
Number 7: Dark River, because it's the real first book of Power of Three. The SIght was
lying to you, this is the first time Lionpaw is even a character, anyone knows anything
about the prophecy, or that Dark Forest stuff starts
Number 6: The Fourth Apprentice, because to heck with all of you it's a good story.
Just, you know, ignore everything that came before or after it and you'll be fine
Number 5: Warrior's Refuge, because sorry, this is the cutest darn book in the series
and I will never stop shoving it in your face Number 4: Rising Storm. Sun-my child self
didn't like it because it was all about characters and emotion but my adult self likes
it because it's all about characters and emotion
Number 3: Eclipse, because it's the best example of that “good culture” Power of
Three is so known for Number 2: Sunrise, because the Hollyleaf depiction
is actually good but could be better if they hadn't just thought of it just now and had
any time for build up And Number 1: The Darkest Hour, because I'm
strong enough to admit it's a solid book and it totally made someone cry a couple times
even though this cast isn't my favorite in the series
Since Sun- Since I started with that Trip Through Time series I've been keeping track
of which books I like with that deep re-read I give them. Obviously that means only the
first, what, 31 published books were in the running, but I believe this list way more,
so it ranks ahead. Maybe if Sun-Maybe if I had gotten further along by now, this list
would be higher up on the list!
Number 7: Top 10 Favorite Characters
Number 10: Poppyfrost, great as a Jayfeather pal and super introspective with that Starclan
connection twice over Number 9: Sunstrike, because I wrote Tempest
Rift and that forces you to like your protagonist Number 8: Jayfeather, because he's a compassionate
grump with a life intwined with destiny who should really get to realize that doesn't
work Number 7: Cinderheart, because she's better
in my head where she's actually a friend to all three of the three but she does have
that emotion over Hollyleaf and the water therapy for real
Number 6: Ivypool, because she's also better in my head but the idea of a double-agent
on both sides of the conflict with emotional ties to cats on both sides is cool
Number 5: Dovewing, because I changed my mind since I liked Ivypool more than her, she's
gotta power that could tie so well into her personality and she has a passion and compassion
that won't stop for anything Number 4: Hazeltail, because she's a wonderful
protective lesbian who has trouble with her feelings, read Paws of Stars
Number 3: Brightheart, because her development should not have ended after the first arc
and she could grow so much more, also read Paws of Stars
Number 2: Thornclaw, because he's an unambitious but dedicated and passionate xenophobic hardworking
jerk who really protects you once he loves you, definitely read Paws of SStars
And Number 1: Hollyleaf, because I have loved and grown with her since I was like 9 and
she's been twirling round in my head for all of those years
Ugh, it's just so basic. Even with some weird background tastes, so many of these
cats are loved by so many people that it doesn't feel telling or unique. I guess I do love
all these cats but it doesn't make it a good list, so number 7's all you get, buddy.
Number 6: Top 10 Favorite Medicine Cats
Number 10: Briarlight is not a medicine cat so Puddleshine, because he's unique enough
Number 9: Brambleberry, because she was nice to Crookedjaw but she could be better
Number 8: Mothwing, because her novella is like the best novella and canonized all those
things people think were true before Number 7: Cinderpelt, because she squarely
chose to be a medicine cat thrice over even without being gifted in it and that “knowing
her own death” stuff was really deep, guys Number 6: Flipclaw is a medicine cat, and
his circumstances are so funny that he totally belongs on this list. He's also gay
Number 5: Kestrelflight because I wrote Tempest Rift and finally figured out who the heck
this guy is. Also he's a great brother and gay.
Number 4: Frostpaw because this arc's been doing a surprisingly great job of showing
her personality, struggles, and growth off and I hope it keeps going. Also she's asexual
and gay. Number 3: Yellowfang because specifically
when she was alive she was a wonderful grumpy mom and had some good stuff going on
Number 2: Leafpool, because she's got a beast of a life and even though I don't
like everything about her, she's got enough sympathy points for a spot
And Number 1: Jayfeather, because I already talked about this guy. He's great.
It's a bit better, I guess. See now that you have to focus just on medicine cats your
tastes can become more obvious. But you know, there's still not a lot of medicine cats
in comparison to everybody so a lot of cats will pop up on a lot of lists and…frankly
I don't even know if S-if I care much about the medicine cats, all in all. Yeah number
6 is fine. Below average.
Number 5: Top 10 Favorite Leaders
Number 10: Ugh I didn't really have a 10th. Are we sure I can't pick one of those Paws
of Stars leaders? Fine. Tallstar I guess. Didn't love his last moons but he was fine
before that Number 9: Jingostar, because starting up a
clan with all the kittypets and loners who were scammed by Sol is great
Number 8: Leopardstar, because she adds a lotta spice to every book she's in
Number 7: Crookedstar, because I liked his super edition but actually as a leader he
was kinda just a coward Number 6: Gray Wing, because I like leaders
who don't want to be leaders and he had all that nice dad and pacifist stuff that
let them befriend a whole bunch of cats around Number 5: Monkeystar, because starting up
a clan with all the kittypets and loners who heard about the clans in stories is even funnier
Number 4: Tigerheartstar, because, as a leader, he's been really funny and a great source
of conflict with clear emotional and not strictly evil motives
Number 3: Bluestar, because she's complicated, wasn't always right, but was wise and dedicated
anyway Number 2: Tall Shadow, because do not look
at her novella and she's great And Number 1: Half Moon, because Sunny wouldn't
let me survive if I didn't get her on here
I still end up loving random warriors way more than leaders but this is better. There's
a lot of cats here that, like, I actually care about. Really, never ever let Sunny talk
about Half Moon. You will be stuck there all, flipping day. Just read Paws of Stars or something.
Most of what she'd say is in there anyway. I mean me. What I'd say. I'd sure love
to tell you about her.
Number 4: Top 10 Favorite Background Characters
Number 20: Monkeystar Number 19: Snowtuft
Number 18: Rainstorm Number 17: Minnowtail
Number 16: Minty Number 15: Mousewhisker
Number 14: Thistleheart Number 13: Sedgewhisker
Number 12: Sunfish Number 11: Whiskernose
Number 10: Ebonyclaw Number 9: Fringewhisker
Number 8: Foxleap Number 7: Owlwhisker
Number 6: Rosepetal Number 5: Otterheart
Number 4: Icecloud Number 3: Toadstep
Number 2: Sunstrike Number 1: Hazeltail
And- What do you mean this is too many
Now we're getting into some actual quality! How's any other list so far *actually* going
to tell you what I like? Everyone might like the same books or the same protagonists or
leaders but no one has the same investment in all those random one-line background characters.
But who ever said you're allowed to just cut me off like that? I was even stopping
myself from talking about all of em' just to keep from getting too long. I have like
30 more I was gonna go on about. Number 3: Top 10 Favorite Main-Series Arcs
Number 10: The New Prophecy, because it's both boring and frustrating. How the heck
do you have 6 cats go on a journey, let none of them befriend each other, and not even
tell us what 3 of them are like Number 9: A Vision of Shadows, because dropping
the protagonists' arcs to focus just on a cool plot and just have the characters in
and out of the point-of-view do whatever you need to see and advance that plot is not the
way to my heart Number 8: Power of Three, because it has a
great clan culture but it is a mess and doesn't decide what it wants to be until the last
third of the fifth book Number 7: The Broken Code, because the first
half was great and the last book was nice but I will never get over Darkness Within
Number 6: Dawn of the Clans, because the first half was great and I still actually like most
of the characters but oh my god the way this arc treats she-cats and how its meta stuff
screwed up Clear Sky's redemption is atrocious Number 5: The Prophecies Begin, because it's
honestly a solid arc but, again, I'm not attached to its cast and it has a big problem
with she-cats that slightly improves later Number 4: A Starless Clan, because I'm really
holding out my hopes for you buddy And Number 3: Omen of the Stars, because it's
good in all the ways that enrapture me and horrible in all the ways that inspire me to
create, I love it.
Oh that's too few now? There's just no pleasing you! That's all the arcs, what do you want
from me? This is ridiculous.
Look there's only 8 arcs, sure, so I guess it's not a “top 10” list but how else
are you going to quickly communicate all your opinions about all the books at once? This
just screams at you: talk to me about Briarlight, don't expect me to look at you if you ask
about Stormfur. It's perfect. Well, except for that “doesn't have 10 items” thing.
Number 2: Top 10 Favorite ~Conspiracy~ Totally True Theories
Number 10: Starclan's Power Source: You see, Starclan is driven exclusively by the
power of drama. The more cryptic and harmful their words or deeds are for the world below,
the better. If an arc sells well to us, they get to keep going.
Number 9: Fake Graystripe: The secret is that when Graystripe was captured by the twolegs,
the real Graystripe died, but the twolegs used his DNA to reproduce a clone version.
Millie married a fraud and brought him back to the clans
Number 8: Warrior Cats Aren't Cats: Actually all warriors, even non-clan-born ones, become
a subspecies that actually totally pop into adulthood exactly when their warrior ceremony
occurs Number 7: Hollytuft really is actually Hollyleaf
reincarnated Number 6: Frostpaw for sure is actually Bristlefrost
reincarnated, wait no, Hawkfrost Number 5: No no but really Nightheart is actually
Larksong Number 4: Oh my gosh Leafshade is actually
Leafpool reincarnated even though he was born before she died
Number 3: Asexual Lesbians: Harper Collins is actually going to greenlight making Frostpaw
and Whistlepaw mates when the arc is over. I swear. It's totally true.
Number 2: Purdy is an immortal being older than Rock. He has seen the birth of life itself.
And Number 1: Warrior Cats Was Never Real
Now this, this is great. How could anything be better than this? It opens up discussions,
it tells who with absolutely no falsehoods I am, and best of all, it's totally unique.
Yeah this is nearly perfect, exactly the sort of thing I wanna put in the world. Then, how
could one be even better? Well…hahah.
Number 1: Top 10 Favorite Sunnyfall Videos
Number 10: What Are The Powers of Three, good dissection but it could have gone further
with more time Number 9: The Secrets of the Clans Trip Through
Time because I love that book and Sunny got really tickled at the idea of making the illustration
a storybook version of the founding of the clans with slightly altered versions of each
founder's design and that faded Clear Sky in the background
Number 8: Drawing Every Warriors Protagonist, because I spent way too long on that drawing
not to care Number 7: The Bluestar's Prophecy Trip Through
Time, because I also spent a long time on that drawing but also because writing that
script changed my opinion of the book Number 6: The Judgement of Starclan, because
telling you to your face that Starclan and the Dark Forest's system has never and will
never make sense had to be super satisfying for her
Number 5: Born Evil, because anytime she dips into philosophy even the tiniest bit she gets
all giddy Number 4: Hollyleaf, because I love Hollyleaf
and I'm sure we put a lot of work in that video because of it
Number 3: Paws of Stars Full Release, because I spent 3 ½ years on that gosh darn series
and I am still super proud of it Number 2: Gender in Warrior Cats, because
I spent 6 months on that video, longer than any other in the channel, and I finally got
down almost everything in a way I can just point to now when I bring up more instances
of that problem in Warriors And Number 1: Self-Sona Backstory, because
Sunny actually worked with a friend to create that one and it makes it a lot easier to be
proud of something when you're not just proud of yourself.
Hahahahah perfect! I mean, I guess in this clan these are *her* videos so they might
not say exactly what I'd want them to but how could you be more unique, tell more about
yourself, or show off your ego better than doing a top 10 count of your own videos? Oh
yeah this is wonderful. There'll never be a top 10 better than this one. This is the
number 1 top 10 list for sure. If you didn't do it when I demanded it at the beginning,
surely now you have to click that like and ring-a-ding that bell to see more great videos
like these ones. This is how Youtubers work, right?
Oh, if you wanna actually know more about why any of these random things was wherever
they were on whatever list, I guess you could ask me. Or Sunnyfall. I think she'll be
back tomorrow. Probably. But I assure you I am just as good. I simply have my own…perspective.
…
Anyway, that's all folks. Clicking on this video was a great choice on your part.
Good on you, and always remember that you're awesome, don't make any mistakes,
and should never check the date a video was made.
Are you done now? Can I come back?
............
Yes.
Good! See you guys!
