So we're gonna give you a quick tour of the other side of Asia.

そこで今回は、アジアの裏側について簡単にご紹介します。

So there's the Yakitori place here in South Asia.

ここ南アジアには焼き鳥屋があるんですね。

I had to come back to uh the supermarket because I love the story here and it's a really good price right now because they call it time service, it's like at a certain time during the day, they bring down the price.

このスーパーは、タイムサービスといって、1日のうちある一定の時間になると値段を下げてくれるんです。

So I came at a good time and I'm gonna buy probably like five or six different kinds.

だから、いいタイミングで来たし、たぶん5、6種類くらいは買うつもりです。

These are really good if you're looking for your story, this place is awesome.

ネタ探しなら本当に良いよ、ここは。

Yeah, I usually like the ones that have green scallion on it, but they also have like chicken skin.

そうですね、普段は青ネギが乗っているものが好きなのですが、鶏皮みたいなのもありますね。

If you want to be a little bit adventurous.

ちょっと冒険してみたい方。

It's actually pretty good.

実は結構いいんですよ。

They also have a tongue back their tongue and they have some with asparagus.

舌の裏側もあり、アスパラガスと一緒に食べることもあるそうです。

Uh that one has garlic and this is actually soft bones.

So if you want to be adventurous, that's also pretty interesting.

だから、冒険したい人は、それも結構面白いですよ。

I actually like that, but I really don't get that much anymore.

実はそれが好きなのですが、もう本当にあまり手に入らないんです。

So yes, I'm gonna go ahead and order so while candy is getting derogatory, just wanted to show this other side.

そうそう、お菓子が蔑ろにされている間に、この裏側を見せようと思って、先に注文しておくんです。

Uh So the left is groceries and to the right is home goods and makeup medicine and clothing.

ええと、左が食料品で、右が家庭用品や化粧品、衣料品ですね。

So this is the medicine section.

This is like for muscle aches.

これは筋肉痛のときと同じですね。

This section is for cold, of course, there's a mask section.

このコーナーは風邪用です、もちろんマスクのコーナーもありますよ。

So again, you can find many different types of mass.

だからまた、いろいろな種類の質量を見つけることができるのです。

Like they have stylish B style.

スタイリッシュなB級スタイルを持っているような。

They also have like the ones that are great for your ears doesn't hurt.

また、耳が痛くならないようなものもあります。

Super soft.

超柔らかい。

Super soft, premium, nice package.

So this section is like diapers.

つまり、このセクションはオムツのようなものです。

Yeah, diapers, toilet bathroom, wow.

A lot of tissue products here.

They have like these cute little tissues though.

でも、こんなかわいいティッシュがあるんですよ。

I love these little tissues and they're so cute.

I thought you were gonna say, oh my gosh, I have bleached or not bleached, but I would get it if it was bleach.

あらら、脱色したとかしてないとか言うのかと思いきや、脱色してたら出るんですね。

And this is paul Patrol paw Patrol is actually super popular in Japan too.

そして、これはポール・パトロールpaw Patrolは、実は日本でも超人気です。

I learned I'm trying to find the section where they sell some home goods, like, um actually we're kitchen goods and here it is.

家庭用品を売っているコーナーを探しているうちに、「実はキッチン用品で、ここにあるんだ」と知りました。

It's in this, they call it the kitchen area.

この中にある、キッチンエリアと呼ばれているところです。

So I don't know if they're gonna have it the last time I came here, they have this butter case that has a butter knife already in it.

この前来たときは、バターケースにバターナイフが入ってたんだけど、今はもうないのかな？

It's so convenient if you're the type of person that buys butter out of the plastic tub and you just buy like the butter that's in foil.

バターをプラスチックの桶から買うタイプの人は、ホイルに入ったバターみたいなのを買うだけなので、とても便利です。

Um I have not seen anything like it in the States.

うーん......アメリカではこんなの見たことない。

I've only seen it here in Japan, but it's kind of hard to find here as well.

日本でしか見たことがないのですが、こちらでもちょっと手に入りにくいですね。

So I wouldn't be surprised if I couldn't find it today, I don't see it.

だから、今日は見つからなくても驚かないよ、見てないからね。

They got hot pots, pans, a lot of tough on what you call teflon, teflon, teflon ziploc.

熱い鍋やフライパン、いわゆるテフロンやテフロン加工のジップロックには厳しいものがあるんだ。

These are the hot pot, hot pot.

These are great.

Like every japanese home, I feel like has these like bento box stuff here.

I feel like I had a lot more cute ones too.

They did definitely saved money there.

This is a very popular character in Japan like the kids love.

日本では子供たちが大好きなキャラクターとして大人気です。

So of course they price that at like $5.

だから当然、5ドルくらいの値段になるわけです。

They must not have it.

持っていないのでしょう。

So I would assume it'd be around here.

だから、この辺りだろうと思うんです。

Right, well they don't have it.

Oh wells, this is the pet section.

おやおや、ここはペットコーナーですね。

Maybe you might find some cute unique.

Oh yeah, some interesting items here for pets.

そうそう、ここにはペット用の面白いアイテムがあるんですよ。

So this section is all clothing for men's and women and they also have a shoe store sporting goods and this looks like it's a toy store.

このセクションはメンズとレディースの洋服ばかりで、靴屋スポーツ用品、そしてこれはおもちゃ屋のようです。

Oh in a game section two.

ゲームセクション2でああ。

I know they had a game section here.

ここにゲームコーナーがあったんですね。

This looks so fun for a little girl.

これは小さな女の子にはとても楽しそうです。

These boxes look faded though.

この箱は色あせて見えますが。

I know.

知っています。

I feel like people don't really shop here.

ここでは、あまり買い物をしない人が多い気がします。

Yeah, I didn't even know they had a toy section like this here definitely looks faded.

ああ、ここにこんなおもちゃのコーナーがあるなんて知らなかったよ。確かに色あせた感じだね。

Look at how faded this looks like, how many years has this been here?

It really is like a walmart here, but fewer people.

ここは本当にウォールマートのようですが、人が少ないですね。

Oh yeah and cuter stuff stuff.

But they have cute socks.

This is like the bedding section but there's like a whole row of these things.

これは寝具のコーナーみたいなものですが、こういうのがずらっと並んでいるんです。

Um it's like fleece type of material.

あの......フリースみたいな素材なんですけど。

Um it's kind of thick and they just put it on top of the bed for extra comfort.

厚みがあって、ベッドの上に置くだけで、より快適に過ごせるそうです。

Kind of like, you know this is love.

なんというか、これが愛なんだな、と。

I guess there's five levels and this is a level three.

5段階あって、これはレベル3なんでしょうね。

So it gives you extra warmth for the winter because in Japan they don't really run the heater like they don't have central heating all the time.

日本ではセントラルヒーティングのように暖房を常時稼働させることはないので、冬の寒さをしのぐことができるのです。

So they put like put the heater on all the time, especially when you're sleeping.

だから、特に寝ているときはずっとヒーターをつけているような状態です。

So what they do is turn off all the heaters and then they warm up with warm bedding.

そこでどうするかというと、暖房を全部切って、暖かい寝具で暖を取るのだそうです。

Um That's typically how most japanese homes are here.

ええと、日本では一般的にそのような家が多いですね。

Especially like the older homes, like our parents.

特に、私たちの両親のような古い家が好きです。

This would be especially useful to warm up since we don't have central heating and it's dangerous to leave the stove on.

特にセントラルヒーティングがなく、ストーブをつけっぱなしにするのは危険なので、暖を取るのに重宝しそうです。

So it's very cold nights when you have to get up and use the bathroom.

だから、起きてトイレを使わなければならない夜はとても寒いんです。

Yeah, it sucks, it sucks in the winter here in the winter at least at our parents home.

ああ、最悪だ、ここの冬は少なくともうちの実家では最悪だ。

But a lot of newer houses have much better insulation, so it's not as bad whereas our parents, the insulation is not the greatest either.

でも、新しい家は断熱性が高いものが多いので、私たちの親が、断熱性も最高ではないのに対して、それほど悪くはないんです。

So yeah, it's very old school.

そうそう、すごくオールドスクールなんですよ。

Yeah, so these are actually pieces which are tables with heating underneath.

これは、テーブルの下にヒーターが付いているものです。

So like especially like our parents home which is old school to help save energy.

だから、特に省エネに役立つ旧式の実家が好きなんです。

If you do turn off the heater you can, everyone sits under this table and it's warm underneath.

ヒーターを切れば、みんなこのテーブルの下に座っているので、その下は暖かいんです。

So this in the summer you take off the blanket.

この夏、毛布を脱ぐんですね。

This heavy blanket.

この重い毛布。

And what you do is you put the heavy blanket underneath here.

そして、この下に重い毛布を敷くのです。

So in the winter everyone's pistol leg inside and there is heat that comes from here.

だから、冬はみんなピストル脚で中に入って、ここから熱が出るんです。

It's very warm in the winter.

冬はとても暖かいです。

So it actually without the central heating if you have this, it actually works pretty well.

だから、これがあればセントラルヒーティングを使わなくても、実は結構いけるんですよ。

But we had one in our home growing up and we used it a lot.

でも、幼少期には我が家にもあって、よく使っていました。

I remember using it all the time.

ずっと使っていた記憶があります。

So it's about $150 I guess.

Yeah, but then you have to buy the blanket to that goes over it.

でも、その上にかける毛布を買わなければなりません。

We just found this section and pets where they have these adorable desserts and meals all for dogs.

Even their food display is amazing for dogs.

I know it looks like humans could eat this cake.

This is very, um, soy and everywhere in Japan actually, yeah, they have this meatball plate, pork socks.

And then over here there's smoked chicken, wow with pumpkin.

そして、こっちはスモークチキン、かぼちゃと一緒にワオ。

And then this is teriyaki chicken.

そして、こちらは照り焼きチキン。

How much are these?

Oh, there's only like $5 change, right?

Yeah.

It's been like 4 50 50 or something.

That is so cute.

Another section there here is dessert and fuji has actually very famous in Japan.

もうひとつはデザートで、富士山は日本ではとても有名です。

It's very iconic actually been around since we were kids.

Yeah, this looks so good.

I think I might get one.

Yeah.

Oh, wow.

Look at how cute and pretty they are.
