I've brought kuma with me and made a road trip from Tampa florida to Asheville north Carolina.

私はkumaを連れて、フロリダ州タンパからノースカロライナ州アッシュビルまでドライブ旅行をしたことがあります。

The main reason why I'm here is because I want to see an Interpol concert.

一番の理由は、インターポールのコンサートを観たいからです。

Interpol is my ultimate favorite band and I'm obsessed with them.

Interpolは私の究極のお気に入りバンドで、彼らに夢中になっているんだ。

And I've been seeing their concerts every time they go on tour they usually have a date uh in florida, but for the past year they've been touring and they haven't added florida date.

彼らのコンサートは、ツアーに出るたびにフロリダでの公演があるのですが、この1年間はフロリダでの公演がありませんでした。

So I was like oh I better see them somewhere else before they end this tour.

だから、ああ、このツアーが終わる前にどこかで見ておいたほうがいいなと思ったんだ。

So then I looked into Nashville and I like Asheville anyway, I've been here a couple of times and I know it's like a small charming downtown area.

アッシュビルは何度か来たことがあり、小さな魅力的なダウンタウンのような場所だと知っています。

So I figured this would be a great place to see Interpol.

だから、インターポールを見るにはここがいいと思ったんだ。

So I made the journey up here with kuma and got here last night ended up being like 11.5 hour drive was supposed to be 9.5 hours.

それで、KUMAと一緒にここまで来て、昨日の夜、11時間半のドライブになったんだ。

But you know there's traffic because it's Labor Day weekend, it's a little bit busy.

でも、レイバー・デイの週末だから渋滞しているのは知っているよね、ちょっと混んでいる。

Also there's a festival here this weekend as well, the gumbo festival that they have every year, which I didn't know but there's a very lively last night we got in around five p.m. And checked into the hotel at kempton.

また、今週末はここでフェスティバルがあります。毎年開催されているガンボフェスティバルで、私は知りませんでしたが、昨晩はとても賑やかでしたよ。

I love kimpton hotels because they're all dog friendly and they're all free for dogs or any pets they can stay for free at the kimpton.

私はキンプトンホテルが大好きです。なぜなら、キンプトンホテルはすべてドッグフレンドリーで、犬やどんなペットでも無料で泊まれるからです。

Yeah, it's a little bit expensive like the overall hotel price.

そうですね、ホテル全体の値段と同じでちょっと高いですね。

But I do like that.

でも、それが好きなんです。

They're overly pet friendly.

They give you a free goodie bag.

Dog goodie bag with a toy and some treats.

And also if you need like dog beds or water bowls like they'll provide that too.

また、犬用のベッドや水飲み器などが必要な場合は、それも用意してくれるそうです。

So last night when I got in at five we walked around a bit and we went to the dog welcome center which is also like a dog store and a dog behavioral center.

それで、昨晩は5時に出社してから少し歩いて、ドッグウェルカムセンターという犬のお店と犬の行動センターみたいなところにも行きました。

So it's like three things in one.

つまり、3つのものが1つになったようなものですね。

But they have like goodies for the dogs.

でも、犬用のグッズのようなものがあるんです。

It's all free so you can take this cup and they have information on dog friendly things to do in Nashville.

すべて無料なので、このカップを持っていけばいいし、ナッシュビルの犬連れ観光の情報もある。

So I took one of the lists and after that I was really hungry and I knew that twisted laurel was dog friendly.

それで、リストをひとつ取って、そのあとすごくお腹が空いて、ツイストローレルが犬にも優しいということがわかったんです。

I noted that they had a dog friendly menu but when I went there they didn't offer it.

犬用のメニューがあることに注目しましたが、私が行った時には提供されていませんでした。

So I just figured they didn't have it.

だから、持ってないんだろうなと思っただけなんです。

But I wanted to eat pretty fast there anyway because the music was so loud from the festival so I just wanted to hurry up and eat and then go, I had the chicken parm and that was pretty good.

でも、フェスティバルの音楽がうるさかったので、とにかく急いで食べてから行きたかったので、チキンパームを食べましたが、これが結構おいしかったんです。

So this morning I am going to have some breakfast at Mayfield because it's dog friendly as well.

今朝は、犬にも優しいメイフィールドで朝食を取ろうと思っています。

So kuma can come with me.

だから、クマも一緒に行けるんだ。

Alright so I was gonna go to may pills but uh they don't open until 10 a.m. I thought they opened at nine.

メイピルズに行こうと思ったんだけど......朝10時まで開かないんだ。

I mean that's what google maps said.

つまり、グーグルマップがそう言っていたのです。

Maybe google maps is wrong.

グーグルマップが間違っているのかもしれません。

So yeah so they have an on site restaurant here at kimpton called our jell o and it's not friendly down the patio so there's nobody here outside.

そうそう、このキンプトンには「Our Jell O」というレストランが併設されているのですが、パティオの下にあるため、外には誰もいないんです。

So I figured why not?

だから、なぜそうしないのかと考えた。

We'll just have breakfast here and they still have free coffee here until 10 a.m. So I thought okay yeah I'll just get my free coffee and omelet and get the day started.

ここで朝食を取ろう。ここではまだ午前10時まで無料のコーヒーが飲めるから、そうだな、無料のコーヒーとオムレツで一日を始めよう、と思った。

So that's the Canton Hotel we're staying at.

It's like another like gift store kind of place.

Kuma already got treats from the nice lady down these streets instead of have them online too.

But they're called brujas.

I'm just gonna get all these child sizes because I like them so much.

I love this idea of blind date with a book doesn't tell you what the book is that gives you general information like Brave women, shocking history.

Okay, so we're back in the hotel room.

さて、ホテルの部屋に戻りました。

Um we actually did quite a lot for, you know, was it over a few hours?

あの......実は、かなりたくさんやったんです......数時間でしたっけ？

Um but it was starting to get hot because it's like it says high seventies but I think with humidity it's probably in the eighties because we started like sweating and say we like she was but she was panting.

でも、暑くなってきて、70℃以上と書いてあるけれど、湿度もあるから80℃くらいはあると思う。

Plus a lot of stores didn't have a C.

それに、Cがない店も多かった。

So they had fans on but it didn't circulate well enough.

そのため、扇風機をつけていたのですが、十分に循環していなかったのです。

Anyway, we had a good time.

とにかく、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

First.

We went to had an Avenue Pet Company and that's where I wanted to get the same treats that we got from this hotel when they gave us the goodie bags.

私たちが行ったのはアベニューペットカンパニーで、そこで、このホテルで福袋をもらったときと同じおやつをもらおうと思ったのです。

So I got a whole bunch of these brew Yaz.

それで、このブリューヤズを一杯買ってきたんです。

These little ones.

この小さい子たち。

Like just like I said, I like that they're little, they could just break them into little pieces easily, which is great for her because she just like gobbles things down and they said they sell them online.

私が言ったように、小さいので、簡単に小さく砕くことができるのが良いですね。

So I'm gonna get some online once I went out of these Right You Want 1?

だから、このRight You Want 1を使い切ったら、オンラインで買うつもりだ。

Yeah and the next we went to mala prose bookstore.

そうそう、その次はマラ・プロスブックストアに行ったんだ。

Um I wanted to go here because they had a lot of good reviews but they have this one section where it's called Blind Date with a book, it's like a mystery book.

あの......良い評判が多かったので、ここに行きたかったのですが、このコーナーには「Blind Date with a Book」というのがあって、ミステリー本のようなものなんです。

So they wrap them up in this brown paper and they give you a description like humorous fantasy with social commentary.

茶色の紙に包んで、ユーモラスなファンタジーに社会的なコメントを加えたような説明をしてくれるんです。

This one was the cheapest one at 10 bucks.

これは10ドルで一番安いものでした。

So I thought I would get this one and the back is cute.

だから、これを買おうと思ったし、後ろ姿もかわいい。

It says I bought, got it at my local independent bookstore.

近所の個人経営の本屋で買った、手に入れたと書いてある。

So I just wanted to support the bookstore too for coming up with such a clever idea plus the probably the manager but she came up to us and gave them a treat.

だから私は、このような巧妙なアイデアを思いついた書店も応援したかったし、おそらく店長でしょうが、彼女は私たちのところに来て、彼らにご馳走してくれたのです。

She called it a reward so that she wouldn't get triggered by the word T R E A T.

So that was really cute.

So yeah, I'm gonna find out what this book is.

Okay, so nice to crest emporium which was huge.

さて、クレストエンポリアムは広くてよかったです。

So lots of space for like dogs to walk around but they had little sections of different artsy, crafty things from regional artists and there was like really cute stuff in there and some local art and they had like planters and stuff jewelry.

犬が歩き回れるようなスペースもありますが、地域のアーティストによる芸術品や工芸品のコーナーもあり、本当にかわいいものや地元の芸術品、プランターや宝石などがありました。

But yeah, if you're looking for unique gifts, that's a great place to go.

でもね、ユニークなギフトをお探しなら、それはとてもいい場所だと思います。

And then on our way back we stopped by hazel 20 which is about clothing store, they're dog friendly there and they actually have a shop dog there as well.

そして、帰りにHazel 20という洋服屋さんに寄ったのですが、そこは犬連れOKで、実際にショップドッグもいるんですよ。

It's this french bulldog and so just like walking around the store just chilling.

このフレンチブルドッグは、店内を散歩しているようなもので、ただ冷やかしているだけなんです。

But yeah, they had really cute clothes in there, really nice items.

でもね、そこには本当にかわいい洋服、本当に素敵なアイテムがあったんです。

They had G pit with the hats.

帽子でGピットを作っていた。

I actually wanted to try them out because I've been following like instagram and they have really cool hats.

実は、インスタグラムのようなものを見ていて、本当にかっこいい帽子があるので、試してみたかったんです。

So I tried a couple on, I liked a couple of them, I might go back and get one, we'll see.

試着して気に入ったのが2つほどあったので、また買いに行くかもしれません。

And then lastly I wanted to get lunch at farm burger because that's a pet friendly restaurant too because they have this outdoor patio.

そして最後に、ファームバーガーでランチを取りたいと思いました。ここはペットにも優しいレストランで、屋外にパティオがあるんです。

But I couldn't get anybody's attention out there, like nobody would come outside, I waited and nobody came so I was like, alright, you know what, it's fine, we're like right next door anyway, so I think what I'm gonna do is just order, take out and then bring it here and eat lunch in the hotel room.

でも、誰も外に出てこないし、待てど暮らせど誰も来ないから、まあいいや、どうせすぐ隣だし、注文してテイクアウトして、ここに持ってきてホテルの部屋でランチでも食べようかと思ったんだ。

I think it's better that way anyway because kind of hot like I said, and that will be more comfortable eating in the room.

そのほうが、さっきも言ったように暑いですし、部屋の中で食べるには快適だと思うんです。

So today after I get the farm burger, probably just just relax at the hotel room and then I'm gonna head out to the concert.

今日はファームバーガーを食べた後、ホテルの部屋でゆっくりして、それからコンサートに行く予定です。

So yeah, so far, Asheville has been great in the zone.

そうそう、これまでアッシュビルはゾーンですごいことになっていたんですよ。

Okay, so I just got back from an incredible night.

さて、信じられないような夜から帰ってきたところです。

I just saw my favorite band Interpol.

大好きなバンド、インターポールを見てきました。

I got front row and center.

最前列と中央を確保した。

So the place that I wanted me exactly.

だから、まさに私を求めていた場所。

I'm really glad I went to this venue and got that advance past some people that you know, got the advanced tickets.

この会場に行って、何人かの人を追い越してその前売り券を手に入れることができて、本当によかったと思います。

They were lining up already.

もう並んでいましたよ。

There's about maybe 10 of them.

10人くらいかな。

They were really nice and we bonded instantly because of course we all love Interpol, but some people were there for spoon too because it's a co headliner.

もちろんみんなインターポールが大好きなんだけど、共同ヘッドライナーということでスプーン目当てで来ている人もいる。

And yeah, of course Interpol was incredible actually.

そうそう、もちろんインターポールは実際すごかった。

This was my first time seeing spoon as well and I knew like maybe four of their songs, the lead singer, he's an incredible performer, He really engages with the audience and the whole band is just really great.

私もspoonを見るのは初めてで、彼らの曲は4曲ほど知っていましたが、リードボーカルの彼は素晴らしいパフォーマーで、観客と本当に一体となって、バンド全体が本当に素晴らしいんです。

And then of course Interpol comes on and I just go crazy, just lose all sense.

そしてもちろん、Interpolが流れてくると、気が狂いそうになり、理性を失ってしまう。

I feel like I'm just, you know, like I said, I'm obsessed with their music.

私は、さっきも言ったように、彼らの音楽に夢中になっているような気がします。

And then as I'm walking back, I am so glad I stayed at a hotel that was walking distance from Rabbit Rabbit, the venue because there were so many cars going out at once and it looks so chaotic and I'm so glad I didn't drive or take an Uber because that would have taken forever.

そして、帰り道、会場であるラビットラビットから徒歩圏内のホテルに泊まって本当によかったと思いました。一度にたくさんの車が出払っていて、とてもカオスな様子で、車やUberを使わなくてよかったと思いました。それだと時間がかかってしまうからです。

And then when I'm coming back to the hotel they're playing the coolest music.

そして、ホテルに戻るときには、最高にクールな音楽が流れているんだ。

I mean it's my type of music.

つまり、私のタイプの音楽なんです。

I love old school hip hop and this DJ down here at the bar of this hotel.

私はオールドスクールのヒップホップが好きで、このホテルのバーでこのDJをやっています。

He just did a really good job of like mixing one song to the next.

彼は、1つの曲から次の曲へのミキシングが本当に上手でした。

So I was kind of like just standing there with kuma kuma out for her last walk and really enjoying it.

だから私は、クマコが最後の散歩に出かけるのを、ただただ楽しんで見ていたんです。

It was so great.

とても素晴らしかったです。

So what a great day.

Um Tomorrow I don't have much plans.

ええと、明日はあまり予定がないんです。

I might, you know check out a few more things in Asheville if I can because it is forecasted to rain still.

まだ雨の予報なので、できればアッシュビルでもう少しいろいろ見てみたいんです。

Okay so it's 7 30 in the morning and uh I'm gonna try to go and explore some stuff.

Kuma is not happy about that for some reason.

I don't know why she got really upset.

She loves this.

She loves people watching down here.

It's so cute.

But yeah, it's very cloudy.

でもね、すごく曇っているんですよ。

They've already forecasted that, you know it's gonna be rain.

もう予報では、雨が降るのは分かっているはずです。

So what I was thinking was that I would, you know check out a couple of places this morning and then uh probably have some breakfast by myself somewhere because I really want those pancakes.

それで、今朝はいくつかの店を調べて、どこかで一人で朝食を取ろうと思っていたんだ。

So this is Chicken Alley.

ここがチキン横丁か。

It's not quite how I remember it.

私の記憶とはちょっと違うんです。

There used to be more artsy stuff around here.

昔はもっと芸術的なものがあったんですけどね。

Like they used to be this piano with succulents growing in it and now I don't know it just seems like it's a residential area.

昔はこのピアノに多肉植物が生えていたのに、今はよくわからないけど住宅街になっちゃったみたいな感じです。

I mean I guess it must have always been, I don't know it's been years.

つまり、ずっとそうだったんでしょうね、もう何年も前の話ですが。

But yeah, I don't know, it's just this one graffiti now with the Chicken alley sign and just not what I remember it being okay.

でも、チキン横丁の看板に描かれているのは、今となってはただの落書きで、私の記憶とは違うものでした。

So now I'm gonna go to breakfast to get my pancakes.

では、これから朝食にパンケーキを食べに行きます。

I was gonna go to the med but they don't open till nine.

医療機関に行こうと思ったけど、9時まで開いてないんだ。

There's not a lot of places open early so I'm gonna go to the early girl eatery which is not too far.

早くから開いている店が少ないので、それほど遠くない早女食堂に行くつもりです。

Like just a five minute just left Asheville and Asheville was such a great time.

アッシュビルを出て5分のところとか、アッシュビルはすごくいい時代でした。

I'm so glad I stayed two days there to explore it a little bit more.

2日間滞在して、もう少し探検してみたいと思っていたので、とてもうれしいです。

Even though this is my third time in Nashville, this is the first time I really like explored more of that downtown area and it was really nice.

ナッシュビルに来るのは3回目ですが、ダウンタウンを探索したのは今回が初めてで、本当に素敵なところでした。

I met some great people um at the hotel at the concert.

コンサートでは、ホテルで素敵な人たちにウンザリするほど会いました。

The shops like everybody was so nice and so welcoming and especially Takuma too because each time we went somewhere any store like the hotel, the staff, they would always give her reward T.

特に琢磨は、ホテルのようなお店に行くたびに、スタッフからご褒美のTシャツをもらっていました。

Asheville has definitely grown but it does still have that charming quality to it.

アシュビルは確かに成長しましたが、今でもその魅力は健在です。
