Together, we'll use Cinematic mode to capture all the details and movements that make someone who they are.

Then, we'll edit them into shareable videos using Clips. All on iPhone 13.

We are here at Apple Tower Theatre in downtown LA, a city that knows a thing or two about making people look cinematic.

How would you describe your photography style and how do you see that translating into a video montage?

ご自身の写真スタイルと、それがビデオモンタージュにどのように反映されるとお考えでしょうか？

Arielle: 99 percent of my work is inspired by paintings.

アリエル：私の作品の99％は、ペインティングからインスピレーションを受けています。

I focus on shape, color, and all the elements that make my subjects stand out.

形や色など、被写体を際立たせるあらゆる要素に着目しています。

Shooting video adds another layer to bring out personality and movement.

動画撮影は、個性や動きを引き出すために、もう一つのレイヤーを追加します。

Myra: I can't wait to see what you do today.

Helping us out today are our friends Tyris, Elii, and Chanel.

To create montages that best represent who they are, we'll capture a mix of detail shots and ones where we shift focus.

First up, highlighting key details.

Myra: OK Tyris, just stand right there; that is perfect.

Swipe over to Cinematic mode.

See how Tyris is in focus and everything else around him is blurry?

That's Cinematic mode at work.

Arielle: You can put your heads down on each other. Yep, just like that.

アリエル：お互いに頭を下げていいんだよ。うん、そんな感じ

Myra: Ooh, I love that.

Arielle: Yeah, and then we're going to zoom.

アリエル：ええ、そしてズームになります。

Myra: What details do you look for when you shoot?

Arielle: I look for clothing, accessories, or even the way they move.

アリエル：服装やアクセサリー、あるいは動き方にも注目しています。

It's so specific to them, so I just focus on that.

Let's go here because the shadows are really cute.

Arielle: I love that. Myra: Yes.

Myra: Cinematic mode works best when there's some more distance between the background and the subject.

So Tyris, why don't you take a few steps forward? Yes!

I'm also just going to tap on his face here to activate auto-focus tracking lock.

Arielle: Yes.

Myra: Which will keep you totally focused as you're doing these movements.

I can move around a little bit too...

Arielle: Yeah, it follows. Myra: Yes, even when he spins around. Look at that.

Myra: Now that we have some detail shots, let's try some where we adjust the focus.

Arielle: Shifting the focus allows me to draw the viewer's eye to what I want them to see.

アリエル：フォーカスをずらすことで、見てもらいたいものに視線を集めることができます。

Myra: OK, cool. So there's a couple of ways that we can do this.

Myra: OK、クールですね。では、これを実現する方法は2つあります。

The first way, easy. You can just tap.

最初の方法、簡単です。タップするだけでいいんです。

So we can start by tapping on the flowers, tap on his gorgeous face, back on the flowers, back to the face.

Or, and you might like this one better, we can actually just use the camera movement.

And let Cinematic mode track the face for you automatically.

Arielle: Look away. Then come back around.

I'm having Elii turn his head, so the focus shifts to him.

Myra: OK, so let's try adding some camera movement. and I'm going to use this gimbal,

which will make everything look really smooth because my hands are shaky. [LAUGHS]

Yes.

Now I can pan across the scene, or even try a different angle.

Arielle: Look at me now. Do that again.

Myra: OK Chanel, give me a little walk.

You can also have your subject move into frame to activate focus tracking.

Let's go back to the store and put it all together.

Arielle: Sounds good. Myra: All right, let's go!

Arielle: Cool.

Myra: So before we edit, let's favorite the shots we really like in Photos so that we can easily find them later.

Arielle: Cool.

Myra: This one…and I like this one too.

OK, what do you think about this one?

Arielle: I love how there's a lot of texture in the foreground before that reveal.

It's beautiful.

Myra: So it will be easiest and fastest if we use the Clips app to put our montage together.

マイラ：では、Clipsアプリを使えば一番簡単で早いんですね。を使い、モンタージュを組みました。

First, go to import, then Photos.

まず、「インポート」→「写真」と進みます。

Look at all those hearts on the clips we favorited earlier.

先ほど紹介したクリップのハートの数々を見てください。

Let's select a few of those.

その中からいくつかを選んでみましょう。

Nice. We're ready to edit.

いいね編集の準備が整いました。

Let's give them all a trim.

みんなにトリミングしてあげよう。

Tap on a clip and drag either side to edit.

クリップをタップして、左右どちらかにドラッグして編集します。

While you're here, play around with the order until you like how your montage flows.

ここで、モンタージュの流れが気に入るまで、順番を変えてみてください。

OK next, you want to mute each clip ...before tapping the music note to add a soundtrack.

I just love how you bring such a vibrant styling to your subjects.

Arielle: I love how you captured the duality of Tyris's personality.
