Yeah bonjour bonjour hotel, Indigo Ok sorry and also business today we went to Versailles and wow it was so busy I mean I was expecting it to be busy but from the beginning from our train ride it was super packed.

It seemed like everybody was going to Versailles at the same time.

みんな同じ時期にベルサイユ宮殿に行くような感じでしたね。

Our tickets was at noon and um it seems like everybody else's tickets was at noon or like 12 30.

私たちのチケットは正午で、他の人たちのチケットは正午か12時半のようでした。

It took about an hour to get their total.

1時間ほどで、彼らの合計が出揃った。

That's including like walking going from station to station the actual ride once we got to the invalid station which is near the Eiffel Tower station at the metro when we switched to the R E R.

これは、駅から駅まで歩くようなもので、実際に乗ったのは、R E Rに乗り換えたときに、地下鉄のエッフェル塔駅の近くにある無効駅に着いてからです。

ベルサイユに行くやつですね。

That ride was only 30 minutes so it went by pretty quick even though it was packed we did find a seat but it was hot so hot in there.

その乗り物は30分しかないので、満員でもあっという間に終わってしまいました。私たちは席を見つけましたが、中は暑くて暑くてたまりませんでした。

And sit next to a window but that was the only seat available because we were we couldn't even sit next to each other because it was pretty packed and when there are is it R E C E R R E R C.

そして窓際に座ったのですが、そこしか席がなかったんです。なぜなら、かなり混んでいて隣同士に座ることさえできなかったからです。

That train actually looks different from the metro trains they're stacked so even then being stocked it was really busy.

あの電車は、実は地下鉄の電車とは違って、積み上げ式になっているので、ストックされていても本当に混んでいたんです。

So yeah so anyway we did make it to Versailles and they split the lines into like the hour that you're going in so we were at 12 o'clock there's another line for 12 30.

そうそう、とにかく私たちはベルサイユ宮殿にたどり着いたんだけど、入場する時間帯によって列が分かれていて、私たちは12時だったんだけど、12時半には別の列ができていたのよ。

I'm not sure if there's a one o'clock line or not maybe.

1時線があるのかないのか、もしかしたらよくわからないのですが。

So initially I wanted to start off at the Trianon estates, but when I was trying to find the exit towards the garden because I had to go through the gardens first to get to the estate area Um one of the, the staff there told us that no, once you exit the palace and you go to the gardens you can't come back into the palace.

最初はトリアノンの離宮から始めようと思ったのですが、離宮に行くにはまず庭園を通らなければならないので、庭園への出口を探そうとしたら、スタッフの一人が、「宮殿を出て庭園に行ったら、もう宮殿には戻れないよ」と教えてくれました。

So I was like, oh okay, so we explore the palace first or the chateau and that was really neat.

それで、ああそうか、じゃあまず宮殿かシャトーを探検しようということになったんですが、これが本当にすてきだったんです。

You know, we saw lots of portraits of all the people that used to live there and of course the hall of mirrors, which is beautiful and learned a little bit about, you know, king Henry the 14th mary Antoinette.

そこに住んでいた人々の肖像画をたくさん見ました。もちろん、鏡の回廊も美しく、アンリ14世やマリー・アントワネットについても少し知ることができました。

But I mean if you don't have an audio guide or if you don't use their app, you're not gonna get a lot of information because a lot of their plaques is very minimal and usually in french, there was some english on there, but the font was so small and it was like white on the back of a like a lighter background, so it's kind of hard to read and you know, there's a lot of people too.

でも、音声ガイドがなかったり、アプリを使わなかったりすると、多くの情報を得ることはできません。なぜなら、彼らのプラークの多くはとても最小限のもので、たいていフランス語で、英語もありましたが、フォントがとても小さく、薄い背景の上に白で書かれているので、読みにくいし、たくさんの人がいます。

So if you're really keen on the history and you don't know much about it, it probably was a good idea to get the audio guide, although there was a long line for it.

Yeah, but so yeah, the majority of the people I would say did have an audio guy so they can learn a little bit more, but I actually knew a lot of the history anyway since I watched um, Versailles, the show on netflix and it's actually a BBC show I think.

でも、私はネットフリックスで「ベルサイユのばら」を見ていたので、歴史は知っていましたし、BBCの番組だと思いますが、「ベルサイユのばら」を見ていたので、歴史は知っていました。

But then we also watched mary Antoinette and that tells a lot about the history of Versailles to a little bit.

しかし、その後、マリー・アントワネットも見て、ヴェルサイユの歴史を少しばかり語っています。

Um, so if you watch those two things, you do get a lot of history and then I did some, every time I watch a movie or a show something I always do research afterwards.

この2つの番組を見れば、たくさんの歴史がわかりますし、私は映画や番組を見るたびに、その後に必ずリサーチをしています。

So I learned a little bit more and it is fascinating history.

それで少し勉強してみたのですが、魅力的な歴史ですね。

So I highly suggest doing that before you go, like just learning a little bit about it and then we exited and went into the gardens and I wanted to initially get bikes like rent bikes because it's such a huge estate, just walking from one end to the other is I think it's got to be like, you know, five miles maybe.

私たちはそこを出て、庭園の中に入りましたが、最初は自転車を借りようと思いました。

But anyway it's a lot to walk.

でも、とにかく歩くのが大変なんです。

So I thought we should get bikes but to rent the bikes is like on the other side of the garden.

だから、自転車を買おうと思ったのですが、自転車を借りるのは庭の反対側みたいなんです。

So that was a long walk in itself.

だから、それだけで長い距離を歩いたことになる。

So we were like, yeah, I don't think we'll survive because the time we got out It was already, I think 2:00 probably or three, I forget, I think it's too, so I was like hitting close to high, High 70s, low 80s so and the sun was beaming so we knew we wouldn't last very long.

というのも、外に出たときにはもう2時か3時だったと思うんですが、忘れてしまったんです、だから70度近く、80度前半の暑さで、太陽はさんさんと照りつけ、とてもじゃないけど生きていられないと思いました。

And plus we were running low on water, really needed water and we didn't have any lunch.

それに、水も少なくなっていて、本当に水が必要だったし、昼食も持っていなかった。

So we had a little snack.

そこで、ちょっとしたおやつを食べました。

That's another thing to the lines for their cafe were so long so better to bring a snack.

もう一つ、カフェの行列が長かったので、軽食を持参した方がいいです。

So yeah with those options were like I think we need to go on the golf carts and there's a line there too.

そうそう、ゴルフカートに乗ろうかと思ったら、そこにも行列ができているんですよ。

So so the golf cart rental is right outside the palace, whereas the bike rental was all the way on the other side.

だから、レンタルゴルフカートは宮殿のすぐそばで、レンタルバイクはずっと反対側にあったんです。

So I mean of course we were like down to like pay more for the golf cart.

もちろん、ゴルフカートにもっとお金を払うのは当然です。

But the other problem was that there was such a long line.

しかし、もう一つの問題は、こんなに長い行列ができていたことです。

And so I asked the lady how long she thought the line would, you know the weight would be and she guessed it right.

それで、その女性に、列の長さ、つまり重さはどのくらいになると思うかと尋ねたら、ぴったり当てられたんです。

She said 30 minutes to an hour of course was the ladder an hour.

30分から1時間はもちろん、ハシゴ1時間だと言っていました。

But if you see a pretty long line most likely you're gonna wait about an hour.

しかし、かなり長い列を見たら、1時間くらいは待つことになりそうです。

Yes because they have a limited amount of golf carts.

はい、ゴルフカートの台数に限りがありますから。

So basically you're waiting in line for someone to come back.

つまり、基本的には誰かが戻ってくるのを順番に待っているわけです。

There isn't just like a line of golf carts and that's probably for the safety of the premises because if you have all these golf carts going around it's probably gonna be chaotic.

ゴルフカートがずらっと並んでいるようなことはありませんし、ゴルフカートが全部回っているとカオスになってしまうので、安全面を考えてのことでしょう。

So we decided to tough it out and we waited in line waited in line for one hour.

そこで、我慢することにして、1時間待ちの行列に並びました。

We actually timed it and it was exactly one hour, it's €40 or €38 an hour.

実際に時間を計ってみると、ちょうど1時間で、1時間40ユーロか38ユーロです。

And we were thinking about just doing an hour, but once you get into that cart again it's massive.

で、1時間だけやろうかと思ったんですが、またあのカートに乗ると重厚感があるんですよ。

So with two stops, two little stops that we did that took two hours.

だから、2回の停車で、2時間かかるような小さな停車を2回したんです。

Yes.

はい。

But then there's also times where we had to stop for water, a bathroom break and a little snack.

でも、水やトイレ休憩、ちょっとしたおやつに立ち寄ることもあるんですよ。

So those all at a time and it was two hours, like that first hour went by so quick.

それを一度にやって2時間、最初の1時間はあっという間だったような。

I couldn't believe it.

信じられませんでした。

And the golf cart, you can't go as fast as you want.

ゴルフカートも、思うようにスピードが出せないし。

I think the max speed on that was like five MPH.

あれの最高速度は5MPHくらいだったと思う。

It was super slow.

超遅かったです。

So even if you want to kind of rush through some parts, you can't also, the map of the premises, there's only specific places we can go and if you go past an air, you're not supposed to, the card actually automatically shuts off and it'll have like an audio saying you can't go past this.

また、構内の地図には、行ける場所と行けない場所が決まっていて、行ってはいけない場所を過ぎると、カードが自動的にシャットダウンされ、「この先は行けません」という音声が流れるようになっているんです。

And we got stuck one time because they went past an area where it's supposed to cause we're following another golf cart and the battery shut off and we had to push the golf cart ourselves and other people did too.

一度だけ、他のゴルフカートの後をついていったので、バッテリーが切れてしまい、自分たちでゴルフカートを押さなければならなくなり、他の人たちも同じように押しました。

And I'm like, well this is ridiculous, like what if you were by yourself anyways, it was a fiasco but we made it out and also we almost got lost a couple of times.

私は、そんなの馬鹿げてる、とにかく一人だったらどうするんだ、大失敗だったけど脱出できたし、何度も道に迷いそうになったよ。

Um we weren't the only ones because there were other people that were following us and like what, okay where do we go?

私たちだけでなく、他の人たちも私たちの後をついてきていて、「え、どこに行くの？

So that's another reason why it took some time.

それも時間がかかった理由のひとつですね。

You will get a map and they do explain it to you like pretty well, like what you're supposed to do.

地図ももらえるし、何をすればいいかなど、かなり丁寧に説明してくれます。

But the premise is so hard to understand, really hard to understand once you get in there because it's like a maze in this car.

でも、その前提が、この車の中は迷路のようで、一度乗ると本当にわかりにくいんです。

Yeah, there's very, very sorry, but I was I was you know, I was happy to see that we weren't the only ones getting lost um and weren't the only ones getting stuck and anyways, that's why it also took more than an hour, just those little mishaps um kind of like set us back but you know, oh no, like I think even if we didn't have those setbacks, we probably would have still spent more than an hour on the golf carts just because of that.

でも、迷子になったのが私たちだけじゃなかったのは嬉しかったし、動けなくなったのが私たちだけじゃなかったのも嬉しかったし、とにかく、1時間以上かかったのは、そういうちょっとした災難が私たちを後退させたからなんです。

It's just, I would say if you want to leisurely enjoy this golf cart, give yourself three hours at least you are going to spend a little bit of money on these golf carts, but I think it's totally worth it because you can explore so much more.

ただ、このゴルフカートをのんびり楽しみたいなら、最低でも3時間は見ておいたほうがいいでしょうね。

I mean it's not just the Palace and the gardens, there's the the trianon estate.

宮殿と庭園だけでなく、トリアノンの地所もあるんですよ。

So there's like three locate three additional locations that you can check out.

だから、3カ所ほど追加でチェックできる場所があるんです。

And those are beautiful too because you get to check out Marie Antoinette's little palace, which is super cute and we're Murray Antoinette fans.

マリー・アントワネットの小さな宮殿を見ることができるのですが、とてもかわいくて、私たちはマリー・アントワネットのファンなんです。

We really wanted to check out.

Her Little, it's like the Queen's Hamlet I think is what it was called.

彼女のリトル、それは女王のハムレットと呼ばれていたようなものです。

We didn't have time for that, we ran out of time and I want to see the grand, that's what we wanted to see.

そんな時間はない、時間切れだ、グランドを見たい、それが私たちの願いです。

But yeah, we just didn't have time for it was, I couldn't believe how fast the two hours went.

でも、そうなんです、時間がなかったんです、2時間があっという間に過ぎてしまうのが信じられなかったんです。

Yeah, so um some tips if you're going to go to the gardens and these other areas, make sure you get some sun block or something to protect your skin because I got burnt waiting in that line because there's no shade anywhere.

そうそう、庭園や他の場所に行くなら、肌を守るために日焼け止めを塗ることをお勧めします。

So and my back was all open so I really got burnt.

それで、背中が全開になったので、本当に焼け石に水だったんです。

Um I wasn't even thinking that I needed some blocks so make sure you bring some of that, make sure you have lots of water too because yeah, I mean they sell water but at certain points so you still have to wait a bit, you'll see a lot of uh solicitors selling water before the entrance, so you can get some water there and then after, you know there's like some little cafes in the palace, but there's long lines and then when you exit the gardens, you have to go a little bit before you enter another snack area so that's why we didn't have water when we were waiting for the golf carts were like oh my God we need water.

私はブロックが必要だとは思ってもいなかったので、ブロックは必ず持っていくようにしましょう。宮殿の中には小さなカフェがいくつかありますが、長い列ができていて、庭園を出ると、別のスナックエリアに入る前に少し歩かなければならないので、ゴルフカートを待っているときに水がなかったのはそのためです。

And then once we got the golf carts we went to the little snacking area where they had water because we were thirsty so thirsty.

そして、ゴルフカートを手に入れたら、喉が渇いていたので、水のある小さな軽食コーナーに行きました。

Uh So there's that also you tend to get hot um Maybe bring a little fan with you because that will help you cool off a little bit.

また、熱くなりがちなので、扇風機を持っていくと、少し涼しくなりますよ。

I was going to but got lazy and decided not to bring it with me but that would have been something great to have because not only was it hot outside but when you go on the trains it is so hot.

しかし、外が暑いだけでなく、電車に乗るととても暑いので、それがあれば最高でした。

I feel like the trains were more unbearable for me just because you're like touching other people and like everyone's like sweaty and it's kind of stuffy in this train so trains have no a C.

電車は、他の人と触れ合うし、みんな汗だくだし、蒸し暑いしで、私には耐えられないと思いました。

So just keep that in mind or if they do I cannot feel it.

だから、そのことを心に留めておくか、あるいは、もしそうであったとしても、私はそれを感じることができないのです。

I don't think they do have just like it's so hot in the trains but okay so overall we had a great time at Versailles.

電車内は暑いので、あまりないとは思いますが、まあ、全体的にはヴェルサイユで楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

I am glad that I went I've always wanted to go there, it's been on our bucket list and we finally did it.

行ってよかったと思います。ずっと行きたいと思っていて、バケットリストにも入っていたのですが、ついに実行しました。

So yeah I do recommend even though it's busy.

だから、忙しいけど、おすすめです。

I do recommend visiting Versailles.

It's like wonderful there.

Yeah the palace part is really busy Once you get into the garden it's massive.

It starts to spread out so then you kind of have room to breathe.

そうすると、息抜きができるようになるんです。

It's just hot if you go in the summer.

夏に行くととにかく暑い。

But yeah we were having a great time on the golf cart riding around the gardens.

でも、ゴルフカートに乗って庭園を回るのはとても楽しかったですよ。

I yeah I really enjoyed it and it gave us a little break on our feet because we're standing up for like hours so that was nice too.

何時間も立ちっぱなしなので、少し足が休まるし、とてもよかったと思います。

Um So yeah so that was our day today.
