このミュージアムでは、「百福杏堂」のクリエイティブな考え方を学ぶことができます。

who founded Nissin Food Products

日清食品の創業者である

and invented its popular Chicken Instant Ramen

チキンインスタントラーメン」を開発。

This place opened in 2011

この店は2011年にオープンしました

By that time we already had a museum

その頃、すでに美術館があった

in Ikeda City, Osuka where CUP NOODLES were born

CUP NOODLESが誕生した池田市大須賀にて

but in Kanto in and east side of Japan,

しかし、日本の東側、関東にある。

we didn't have that type of museum

そんな美術館はなかった

so for visitors in those area

ということで、その方面のお客様には

we wanted to show Nissin Foods, what Momofuku Ando made

安藤百福が作ったものを、日清食品に見せたい。

To show how and why CUP NOODLES and Chicken Ramen was made

カップヌードルとチキンラーメンができるまでとその理由

and wanted to give hints on invention and discovery

発明・発見のヒントを与えたい。

we wanted a place to display all that so we made one

それを展示する場所が欲しかったので、作りました。

The reason why we made this place in Yokohama is,

横浜に作った理由は。

Yokohama is a place in Japan,

横浜は日本の中の場所です。

where many new culture came from abroad

異郷の地

So as a place for Nissin Foods to send out many messages abroad,

だから、日清食品が海外に多くのメッセージを発信する場として。

Yokohama was the best place to do so

横浜は、そのために最適な場所だった

Momofuku Ando started his business in a small shed in Ikeda town Osaka prefecture  

大阪府池田町の小さな小屋で安藤百福は商売を始めた。

He wanted to find a way to make ramen quickly at home

家庭で手早くラーメンを作る方法を探したいと考えていた

without having to stand in line at Ramen shops.

ラーメン屋に並ばずとも、「これだ！」というものが見つかるはずです。

it took him around a year to invent "Instant Chicken Ramen"

インスタント・チキンラーメンを開発するのに1年かかったそうです。

that was dubbed as a magic ramen

魔法のラーメンと称された

due to the fact that all that was required to make it was just adding hot water

お湯を入れるだけで作れるということで

this was revolutionary

これは革命的だった

Back then you could eat ramen in stores,

当時はお店でラーメンが食べられたんですよ。

but the starting point was when WW2 ended

しかし、出発点は第二次世界大戦が終わった時です。

When Japan was really poor

日本が本当に貧しかった頃

To eat ramen you had to go outdoes in food stands

ラーメンを食べるためには、屋台に行かなければならない。

You had to wait in long queues.

長蛇の列で待たされた。

You could not eat ramen at home

家でラーメンを食べることができなかった

To enable people to eat ramen at home

家庭でラーメンを食べられるようにすること

For everyone, easily

誰にでも、簡単に

Make it available for everyone

We had to make the price cheap

価格を安くする必要があった

while safe to eat

What became of those thoughts was the Chicken Ramen

そんな思いから生まれたのが「チキンラーメン」です。

The rules we had to keep for the Ramen,

ラーメンを食べるために守らなければならないルール。

If we could not keep these rules,

we could not have made this Ramen

このラーメンを作ることはできなかった。

We call it "the 5 rules of development"

私たちはそれを "開発の5つのルール "と呼んでいます。

Today, clearing these 5 rules is quite normal

今日、この5つのルールをクリアすることは、ごく普通のことです。

but to keep all 5 rules way back then,

So on the 4Th floor of this museum you  can order noodles from all over the world  

この美術館の4階では、世界中の麺を注文することができるんです。

Of course i decided to go with the main Ramen of Nissin

もちろん、メインの日清のラーメンにしました。

and to go with this "Chicken  Ramen" I chose egg and roasted pork

そして、この「チキンラーメン」に合わせるのは、卵と焼き豚。

You can taste that these are like instant noodles but it's like it has this nice kind of crunchiness  to it

インスタントラーメンのような味わいですが、歯ごたえがいい感じです。

and combined with roasted pork and eggs

と、ローストポークと卵を組み合わせた

okay... It tastes like you know as if you are mixing soft cream with the instant noodle powder

そうインスタントラーメンの粉にソフトクリームを混ぜたような味わい。

It doesn't really  taste like instant noodles

インスタントラーメンのような味はしない

it's actually sweet

あまいものにはふくがある

but you can taste this flavor  of this instant noodle powder in it

でも、このインスタントラーメンの粉の風味を味わうことができます。
