of kind of what's happened since the last week

みんな知ってっと思うけど 先週、ウルフィは体調を崩しちまったんだ

幸いにも、その後体調は回復して熱も下がって

I feel like the Youtube Gods are playing with me right now

保育園にも戻ることができたんだけど

But you know what can you do

ここで、まさかの事態だな

As many of you know from last week Wolfy got sick

その直後に保育園から連絡がきて

Luckily he did recover after that

保育園の誰かがコロナに感染したって言われたんだ

His fever went down and he was able to go back to Nursery

だから感染者と同じ部屋にいた人たちは 濃厚接触者になるから、隔離が必要になっちまったんだ

But here's a twist

だから、オラ達は今自宅にいるってわけ

Just after that we were notified by school

オラ達はウルフィと自宅待機期間の真っ最中なんだ

that someone at his nursery got COVID

2回目のな

and anyone in close contact

あたりめえだけど、 隔離期間中はベビーシッターも呼べねえし

or in the same room with that person needs to quarantine

オラ達は近くに親戚もいねえかんな

And that's why we are here today !

だから自宅待機中は オラとマイコだけで面倒を見なきゃなんねえんだ

We are quarantining with Wolfy

もちろん動画制作も一旦シャットダウン

during this forced quarantine

一日休んだだけで、作業が1週間分押しちまうこともある

and shut down our production

なんて説明したらいいか難しいところだけど まぁしょうがねーな

1：自宅待機期間

It delays our production by week

7日間の自宅隔離が義務付けられてんだ

２回ワクチン接種済みで、検査結果が陰性でも、 無症状でも自宅隔離が必要なんだ

今回は、ウルフィは7日間の自宅待機

So while we're here I kind of want to just share

保育園は閉園しなきゃなんなかった

what's been on my mind and kind of give you

自動的に、マイコもオラもウルフィと 一緒に自宅待機することになる

some information on how COVID and

オラ達はウルフィと一緒に過ごすのがすげー好きだから これ自体が悪いわけじゃないんだけど

quarantining is handled here in Japan

普段通りの仕事ができなくなっちまうんだ

Basically because well I'm in it right now

しかも24時間自宅にいるから、 遊び方も工夫しなきゃなんねえし

and I can't really do any other filmings

でも7日間が過ぎたら、そのまま外に出れんだぞ

and you know this is our second time

日本は濃厚接触に対してPCR検等を義務付けてねぇんだ オラたちは無症状だしな

with Wolfy having to go through it

2：自宅での過ごし方について

I am interested though in how all of this compares to your country

保健所は、もし自宅隔離中に同居者がいた場合

自分達のことはそんなに心配してなかったけど

1. Quarantine Duration

周りの人のことも考えて、自宅でウルフィと一緒に 自宅待機することにしたんだ

First of all, In Japan

普段から食品はAmazon Freshで買ってるし

If you're exposed to COVID

料理したくねー日は、UberEatsも使ってるから

like being in the classroom with someone who has COVID

自宅にいること自体は、そこまでしんどくはなかった

Then you're required to quarantine for seven days at home

一番大変だったのは、ウルフィを外に連れてけねえってことだ

Even if you're fully vaccinated

まだ1歳だけど、とにかく元気が有り余ってっからな

or you've tested negative or have no symptoms

この年の男の子を、一週間も自宅に 閉じ込めておくのはなかなかハードだったぞ

You still need to stay home

特にオラ達のアパートはそんなに広くねえからな

So basically Wolfy has to quarantine for seven days at home

まあでも、これもどうしようもねーことだかんな

while his nursery also has to shutdown

ちっせえアパートで自宅待機してる 家族全員に同情しちまったぞ

Naturally this means that

こんな狭えスペースで隔離するなんて厳し過ぎんだろ

Maiko and I will be quarantining as well

3：政府の追跡システム

Again it's not so bad

これは今のオラ達の状況とはあんま関係ねーけど

because we do love spending time with Wolfy

いい機会だからシェアしとくな

But it just means that we can't do the usual work that we do

PCR検査で陽性になった友達が何人かいるんだけど

and it also means we're gonna need to be super creative with activities

陽性反応が出て、すぐに保健所からSMSで 連絡が来たらしいんだ

as we're in the house for 24 hours a day

保健所が管理するHER-SYSに登録するよう求められんだ

whether we like it or not

新型コロナウイルス感染者等情報把握・管理支援システムだな

But when the seven days are up

陽性結果が出ると、 陽性者の個人情報はすぐに政府に送られんだ

all three of us can leave the house

このシステムが日本中の感染者の情報を管理していて、 感染者は毎日健康状態を記録しなきゃなんねえんだ

Japan doesn't require PCR tests or any other like

しかもこのシステムは匿名じゃね

similar tests because we don't have any symptoms

2. House Quarantine

but it is on my mind

最近、政府ははっきり着用年齢を言わずに かく組織に任せることになったって発表したんだ

5：コロナとプライバシー

were shortly contacted by the Japanese Government

ほとんどの国でこれがスタンダードに なりつつあるんじゃねーかと思うんだけど

namely the Hokenjo "Health Care Center"

日本の学校は感染者の情報を絶対に公開しねえんだぞ

They all received an SMS text message requesting that they

生徒でも教師でもだ

register to the government HER-SYS website

これ自体は理解できっけど、日本ではこれがさらに重要なんだ

Healthcare Center Real-Time Information Sharing System

日本では今でもまだ、コロナ感染者に対しての 隠れた差別意識が存在するからだ

Apparently all their personal information was sent

コロナ感染者数も増えて、 コロナに関する情報が増えてきてんのに

to the government as soon as they got that positive result

コロナに感染することは、 なんつーか…汚えみてぇに感じる人もいて

The HER-SYS Website basically tracks infected people in Japan

だから感染者に対する不当な扱いもまだ存在してる

by asking them to enter their health information every day

これを説明すんのはオラにはちょっと厳しいな

and the entire system is not anonymous

Before everyone in Japan who got COVID

別に感染してることを「汚い」と思ってるとは思わないけど

but since a number of cases are peaking

感染予防に関して、日本人ってすごく敏感だと思うの

4. Kids Wearing Masks

One thing that I wanted to address is

Wolfy not wearing a mask

because some people in the comments

have questioned or asked why isn't Wolfy wearing a mask

ever since he's been born

First of all he's only one year and nine months old right now

and even younger based on some of

the comments when they were made

Kids this age and younger aren't able to wear

masks properly and some even have

trouble breathing with it

Interestingly, the World Health Organization says

Kids under 5 don't have to wear masks

While the Japanese Government has previously

said that kids over 2 years old should wear a mask

But just recently the government has been a bit more vague

leaving the responsibility to each organization

Let me know what you guys think

Should kids be wearing masks

and if you think they should be wearing masks

at what age?

5. COVID Privacy

I'm assuming this is standard practice in most countries

But for sure in Japan

schools will never share the

identity of the infected person

whether it be the student or the teacher

which to me makes sense but I think this

privacy is even more important in Japan

Even today since there's still a large

and very present cultural stigma with contracting COVID

Despite all of the information out there today

in all of the infected cases

it's still considered for a lack of better words dirty in Japan

so much so that there's even a

subtle discrimination for testing positive for COVID in Japan

So this one is a little bit harder for me to explain

But let me get Maiko because

she might be able to explain it just a little bit better

Okay so I don't know if I can

explain this any better than Paolo but

I don't think people think being infected

is dirty like it's not like that but

I think one of the stereotypes of Japanese is

and

and of course not everybody's

and I'm just saying that we are

extra cautious when it comes to being sick or

protecting yourself from sickness

I think that's why a lot of Japanese

people who got COVID or their family got COVID

they don't tell that to anyone else

unless it's necessary

we care so much about what other people think

and you don't want to take the risk

of your friends talking something about you or

your friends act differently

I mean adults won't tell you in your face that

like I don't want to hang out with you

because you had a COVID or

I don't feel comfortable being around you

because you might carry something

nobody's gonna say that to you but some

people probably think that way

and I think especially for kids

they don't have any filters so that's probably why

if a child or a teacher get COVID

They don't announce who did because

They might you know bully that kid

They're trying their best to protect their students and teachers

and I think that's the right thing to do in Japan

I think that's enough explanation

so there you go

I couldn't explain that last part any better

but that's pretty much it for my COVID information for today
