It is the first monday of May and we are heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a rehearsal for the Met gala.

I'm not nervous just yet.

I'm sure once we walk up to the Met, everything is going to start to go crazy on my insides and I drank as much coffee as humanly possible.

So exciting being at the Met and seeing everything come together.

Okay, so how was rehearsal?

Rehearsal was great.

リハーサルは最高でした。

Um it's cold and it's misty but it looks really spooky which really fits with my outfit.

寒くて霧がかかっていますが、私の服装にぴったりで、とても不気味です。

It's just gonna be like a spooky witch coming out of the mist.

霧の中から出てきた不気味な魔女みたいになっちゃうよ。

Okay, Road time.

So the theme is the gilded age basically was the early 1900s in New York City.

つまり、1900年代初頭のニューヨークの金ぴか時代がテーマなんです。

Um and it was this time where a lot of the fashion almost had like renaissance influences in them.

当時は、ルネッサンス期の影響を受けたファッションが多く見られた時代でした。

My dear friend Jeremy Scott designed my dress and he knows how much I love Halloween and he wanted to make me the ultimate Gothic witchy badass dress ever.

私の親愛なる友人であるジェレミー・スコットが私のドレスをデザインしてくれました。彼は私がどれだけハロウィンが好きか知っていて、究極のゴシック魔女的なワルいドレスを作ってくれようと思ったのです。

It could not be the more perfect dress for me.

Okay, so last night we did a hair and makeup test, which I don't always do.

But for the Met, you know, it's kind of essential.

I'm manifesting a mass kino billboard campaign manifesting key to life.

I think your hair and makeup is where you can really show how your interpretation is of that theme.

I was watching showgirls this picture.

I wanted to do something that was super elevated but felt really classic and timeless and chic.

I wake up as one person and I go through glam And I come out on the other end.

Just the most elevated version of myself.
