I’m Sarafina Nance -- astrophysicist, science communicator, published author, and Seeker host. I’m preparing to spend two weeks living and working on a Mars simulation in Hawaii. It’s called HI-SEAS. Scientists and artists from all over the world come to this research station to mimic life on another world. But before I head to Mars, I need to train. Since gravity would be totally different on Mars, I need to get my body used to these conditions. That means I need to train this... So the aircraft goes up and then quickly back down again, which creates Zero-G conditions, which means I'm able to experience weightlessness for about 20 seconds. Oh my God, that was incredible. That was totally insane. Honestly, the best experience of my life. If you want to learn more about my training, subscribe to Seeker and stay tuned for more episodes. Thanks for watching.
