I've went around Japan and gathered some of the most unique japanese canned foods.

結構際どいアイテムもあるかも

A lot of this I've never tried before.

Some of them are probably pushing the edge in advance.

01: からあげ　テリマヨ味

Number one fried chicken, Teriyaki mayo flavor.

オラ、からあげ大好きなんだよな

You know, I love fried chicken.

And what better way to celebrate this video than I have karate fried chicken in a can.

からあげが缶詰の中に入ることがあるなんて、今まで想像したことあったか

めちゃくちゃ興奮すんぞ

This would actually happen in our lifetime to have fried chicken in a can.

I'm just so happy.

中はどんな風になってんだ

Okay, let's open this one up.

からあげの匂いがすんぞ

What do we have here that smells like fried chicken?

からあげっていうと、サクサクのイメージだけど

It's interesting because when you think of fried chicken, you think of something that's crispy on least I think of something crispy.

中身を見ると、ねっとりした感じだな

But when you look at this, it's kind of gooey inside.

オラの想像では揚げたてサクサクのからあげが入ってると思ってたんだけど

I was thinking fried chicken like freshly hot fried crispy fried chicken in a can.

これはちょっとちげぇから、戸惑ってるけど

This is not the case.

とりあえず食ってみっぞ

So hesitant now.

おっきいね

But anyways, let's try like they're like, yeah, they're like pretty decent sized pieces of fried chicken as you can see.

かなり大きめサイズの唐揚げだ

I think I sent my expectations too high.

ちょっと期待しすぎてたぞ

I think they were here when realistically they should have been here.

期待値このくらい高かったんだけど

And I think, yeah.

現実的にはこんくらいであるべきで

So yeah, it doesn't even seem like fried chicken.

そんでまあ、こんくれぇかな…

It just seems like chicken of the Nazi.

ツナみたいな匂いがするね

It has the same texture and moistness as a can of chicken.

確かに唐揚げっぽくはねえな…唐揚げっていうより…

Not as excited about this as I thought it was going to be.

シーじゃねぇチキンって感じ

Well, it's supposed to have a teriyaki and mayo sauce.

缶詰のチキンにしては、食感としっとりしてる

You think it's okay?

想像してたみたいに、ワクワクした感じではなかったな…

Yeah, I was just expecting a little bit more.

一応、照り焼きマヨソースは入ってるはず

The sour nous.

言うほど悪くないよ

It doesn't have that mayonnaise tastes so I think some people that don't like mayonnaise may not like this as well.

そうか？

But yeah, we can.

私が食べたの、結構ジューシーな感じだよ

Who would've thunk number two?

もうちょっと酸味があるかと思ってたんだぞ

Dashi Maki, japanese rolled egg.

思ったよりマヨネーズっぽい味がしねぇ

I think egg in general is not so strange in a can, but a japanese, Tomoko Yaki or Dashi Maki is maybe a little bit on the rare side.

でもマヨネーズの味が好きじゃない人はこれあんまりかも

You don't see this very often.

まあ、これが「からあげ　照りマヨ缶」だぞ

There's one I'm expecting to be pretty good.

02：だし巻き

I don't think you can mess it up too much because the egg always preserves pretty well.

卵が缶詰に入ってること自体はそんなに変じゃねえけど

I think it can, the eggs and like those plastic pouches before.

日本の卵焼き・だし巻きってのはちょっとレアじゃねえか？ あんま見たことねえよな？

I have like kind of a good feeling about this one.

多分、結構うめえんじゃないかと思ってるけど

Pop pop, pop, pop, pop.

卵は保存食に向いてるから、 そんなやべえことにはなんねえんじゃねえかな

It smells like tomato yucky as expected.

そうなの？

You can see all the different layers.

パウチになってるやつがあったろ

It's basically when you, if you ever cooked Amagasaki, basically you get thin layers of egg and then you just keep on folding it into itself until it makes this thick piece of egg to take the first bite of this guy.

これはなんか期待できそうな気がすんぞ

Mm hmm.

想像通りの卵焼きの匂いがすんぞ

Mm hmm.

きちんと層になってるのが見えっか

I knew it was gonna be good.

基本的に卵焼きを作るときは

Doesn't have like a dashi taste to it.

薄焼きの卵を作って、それをどんどん巻いていくんだ

It's super moist.

最終的にこの厚さになるまでやるんだぞ

But it does have that egg texture.

最初の一口いってみっぞ

But you know what?

これがうめえのは分かってた

You can have this any time you want until 2020 for like when you can just have like these one ever because you know like tamagotchi does go bad, but you can make it pretty quickly.

だしの味がしっかりすんな

I don't know if you can make it.

しっとりしてんだけど、卵の食感もきちんと残ってんぞ

It's not like making eggs, you gotta like flip it.

これは2024年まで、食べたい時に食べられんだぞ

How long do you think it takes to make one whole thing like this of tomato?

いつでも食べれるんだぞ

Yeah, 10 minutes.

この卵焼きは悪くならねえからな

That's a long time when you can just pop a can and you're good to go.

でもすぐに作れるじゃない

This is a pretty good problem.

そんなにヒョイっと作れるもんなのか？

You won't try.

この卵焼き作るのにどれくらいかかるもんなんだ？

I think you should try, wow, that's big and there's like four pieces total.

What else, wow, they can make it this good, wow, that's really good.

I don't taste the artificial light can taste so much.

It's not too sweet.

Like mm So this company is in business for 75 years.

I like this number three baquero horse and deer meat.

This is horse meat.

缶独特の人工的な味がほぼしないね

This is something that japanese people also eat.

そんなに甘すぎねえしな

Um, it's part of their culture.

Like it's not like an everyday thing.

But if you go to like Kaia, it's pretty common.

03：馬鹿ヤロー　馬肉とえぞ鹿肉の大和煮

Like it's not as frequently eating beef.

こいつは棚からオラにずっと叫びかけてくるんだ

That one also has a deer.

日本では馬を食べる文化があるんだ

Oh, but then here it says is, oh, chica Chicago.

もちろん毎日食べるようなものじゃないけどな 居酒屋行った時とか

It's a type of deer that lives in there you go.

結構、普通に食べられてるよ

And then they had a play on words by calling it, which means a few interesting.

And then it says, I show you as a soy sauce flavor.

And this is beef jerky potential.

This is something that you would get in like a plastic pouch right before you get on the shinkansen and have it with your beer.

It's not bad at all.

I really can't taste that it's deer or horse.

思ったよりべっとりした油っぽい感じはねえぞ

It just tastes like meet, there's no like gangrenous to it.

むしろちょっとぱさついてそうだな

Or maybe it's the sauce like to show you a g, It has a sweetness.

You know, it's something I would eat.

ビーフジャーキーみてえな感じだな

Normally surprisingly good.

あのパウチになってるやつに近いな 新幹線に乗る前に買ってビールと飲んだりするやつ

I like it.

I would have a few cans of this at home and just say, hey, well no, I wouldn't have a few cans.

It says it's Osaka's maybe Osaka is known for Okonomiyaki.

Usually this thing is cooked super fresh on a griddle and you just let it cook on top and then you put all the ingredients and everything.

04：お好み焼き

So I'm quite interested to see how this whole thing works out if it's just like in a can.

次はお好み焼きだ

Oh, okay, okay.

「大阪名物」って書いてあんな

If you look inside, you get all these different ingredients, you get the OKonomiyaki sauce bonito flakes and then you get some nutty.

大阪はお好み焼きで有名なんだぞ

So a lot of the cans like say they like they recommend you heating up.

But this one is like, you should so maybe we should on the ozone.

中はちゃんと缶詰だかんな

Oh wow, just look inside.

ここはなんて書いてあんだ

There's like a shrimp smell inside.

大阪弁だね

念の為、言っとくけど 今、マイコは呆れた顔をしてる

普段は出来立てのものを食うものなんだ

It is nice and it comes to the bonito flakes all in a can.

鉄板の上で焼いて、その上にさらに色々のせたりするんだけど

It's pretty impressive.

これが一体どういう風に缶詰になってんのか、 オラ全然想像がつかねぇ

You don't even have to I guess you do have to cook it but it's just ready to go.

It doesn't really vinegary smell to it as well, like after putting on the sauce.

So first of all, not my favorite, but I think they did a really good job at recreating the taste.

缶詰って、温めるのがおすすめって 書いてあるのが多いんだけど

They have all of the sauce and the bonito flakes and everything.

これは、絶対に温めなきゃなんねえな

It just tastes a little bit different than when you would have it fresh just like cooked right in front of you.
