It's easy to get scared off leadership positions because you're afraid of stuffing up or because you don't think you can do it the same way as the person who came before.

指導する側のポジションに就くことは 怖いと感じてしまうもの　失敗することは怖いし　前任の人と同じようにできるとは思えないから

Don't do it the same way.

同じように やらなくていい

Find your own way.

In the last five years, I have given birth to two beautiful boys and received a confirmation.

この 5 年の間に 元気な男の子を 2 人産んで　確信を得ました

Be the person you want to be, not who others tell you you should be.

自分がなりたいと思う人間になって　誰かがこうあるべきだという人間ではなくね

Well, I'm not sure my 20-year-old self would have listened to me, but I would've liked to be more confident in my own judgment and in my skills.

I have never chosen a position for power or money.

権力とかお金のために 仕事を選んだことはありません

Those things don't matter to me.

私にとって そういうのは重要じゃないんです

I love to teach.

教えることが大好きだから

And I love researching the big questions that matter to me and society.

自分や社会にとって重要だと思う 大きな問題について徹底的に調べることが 大好きなんです
