The stars were out in Hollywood for the premiere of Marvel Studios latest superhero action
film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The film follows Steve Rogers, aka Captain
America, a genetically engineered super soldier as he takes on a ghost from his past and works
with secret espionage agency SHIELD. SHIELD is headed by Director Nick Fury, played in
the film by Samuel L Jackson, who said working on the comic book franchise reminded him of
being a kid.
It's just a wonderful sort of thing to be able to do, because like I said, being a kid
I imagined being on a world like that or what would it be to be in a world like that, and
all of a sudden I get to do it, so it's a great amount of fun.
Joining Jackson on the red carpet were co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Cap himself, Chris
Evans. Who talked about the challenges of playing a character who has been an icon since
the 1940s.
Sometimes if a movie doesn't do well, the silver lining, the blessing, is that no one
is going to see it. Movies like this will be seen. So every take you give, every moment
you have, whether it's good or bad, it's going to be seen, it's going to be scrutinized so
there's an added pressure and expectation and I think you really have to respect that.
