In this three episode series, we're taking a six day trip starting at Tribute International Airport and making our way through Nagoya and the surrounding prefectures so join me raina on as we continue on days three and four of our trip off the beaten track in central Japan.

Then take the train to Nagoya, we will feast at a local restaurants before retiring for the night.

On day four, we begin with the Nagoya breakfast, then take the train and bus to an excellent open air museum.

4日目は、まず名古屋の朝食を食べた後、電車とバスを乗り継いで素晴らしい野外博物館に行きます。

Following that, we pick up a rental car and drive about an hour north to a Watertown, noted for its realistic food replicas and pristine waterways.

Mhm Kagawa is one of the top tea growing regions in japan and has over 400 years of history cultivating.

Farms in the city and many of them are found in the Philly area east of the city center.

A visit to the tea fields in Kagawa offers scenic views sometimes in combination with Mount fuji.

香川県の茶畑を訪れると、時には富士山とセットになった美しい景色を見ることができます。

When the weather conditions align Kagawa tea is grown using a traditional method in which grasses grown around the tea fields to be used as mulch.

香川県のお茶は、気象条件が整えば、茶畑の周りに生えている草をマルチングするという伝統的な方法で栽培されます。

The grass is cut and dried then spread over the soil from autumn through winter.

刈り取って乾燥させた草を、秋から冬にかけて土の上に撒きます。

The system is said to improve the effectiveness of fertilizer prevents the ground from drying out and ultimately improves the quality of the tea leaves as well as contributes to preserving the local flora and fauna.

このシステムは、肥料の効果を高めて地面の乾燥を防ぎ、結果的に茶葉の品質を向上させるだけでなく、地域の動植物の保護にも貢献すると言われています。

Now you might have noticed the little fans surrounding the tea fields and wondered about their purpose.

さて、あなたは茶畑を囲む小さなファンに気づき、その目的を疑問に思ったかもしれません。

That is a frequently asked question by those who visit a T field and I didn't come close to guessing its purpose that is to circulate the air and prevent the morning fog from settling on the tea bushes, which is damaging to them.

茶畑を訪れた人からよく聞かれる質問だが、その目的は、空気を循環させて朝霧が茶の木に付着し、茶の木に害を与えるのを防ぐためだということは、私には想像もつかなかった。

In addition to scenic views, the seemingly endless tea fields are also where visitors can participate in T related activities like picking tea leaves, roasting tea leaves or appreciating T notes that activities have to be booked in advance.

また、どこまでも続く茶畑では、茶葉を摘んだり、焙じたり、お茶を楽しんだりすることができますが、事前に予約が必要です。

There are a number of places offering activities at the tea farms and mine was arranged through my accommodation where I stayed the night before picking tea leaves is a new experience for me and I'm glad to be able to try it here in Kagawa, No, no.

Tea farmers maintain a hard schedule of picking tea leaves and processing the freshly picked leaves soon after.

Tea farmers typically have more time to interact with and show the visitors the final points of appreciating team.

We start off with tea brewed with only ice cubes since it is a warm day.

まずは暖かい日なので、氷だけで淹れたお茶でスタートです。

Then move on to brewing tea with hot water to taste.

続いて、お湯を使ってお茶を淹れる作業に移ります。

The difference.

その違い。

The ice brewed tea had a strong complex flavor profile which was rich with umami, both savory and fresh at the same time while the hot tea brought out the fragrance of the tea leaves and had a suite of flavor.

アイスティーはうま味が強く、香ばしさと爽やかさが同居した複雑な味わいで、ホットティーは茶葉の香りが引き立ち、味に広がりがありました。

Well after the lovely tea experience, I make my way back to Kagawa station and take the bullet train to Nagoya as Japan's third most populous metropolitan area.

素敵なお茶の体験の後、私は香川駅に戻り、日本で3番目に人口の多い都市である名古屋への新幹線に乗りました。

Nagoya has a strong local food culture and also offers a wide variety of dining options.

名古屋は地元の食文化が根付いており、様々な食の選択肢があります。

Well known local favorites include miso katsu deep fried pork colors with miso sauce, Pizza maybe she L and rice that is eaten with different condiments in four portions and deep fried chicken weeks for dinner, I head to a restaurant in the city to try one of Nagoya's local specialties.

味噌カツ、ピッツァ、ライス、鶏の唐揚げなどが有名だが、今回は名古屋名物を食べようと市内のレストランに向かった。

Yeah, so Nadia coaching, which is a local breed of chicken is one of Nigeria's local specialties and for dinner tonight I'm gonna chicken specialty restaurant serves up Nadia coaching dishes like yakitori skewers down which is a rice bowl topped with egg and chicken as well as chicken wings, which by the way are also known as a local specialty not to be missed.

ナイジェリアの特産品であるナディア・コーチングという地鶏がありますが、今夜の夕食は鶏専門店で、ナディア・コーチングを使った料理を提供してもらいます。

After dinner, it was back to my hotel to rest after that huge meal.

Day four Ohio, Good morning now morning, good morning sets are popular in Nagoya and I'm here to do this cafe for breakfast.

After the satisfying and very filling breakfast, I proceeded to Meiji mura, a large open air museum about an hour outside of central Nagoya Museum.

満足のいく、とても充実した朝食の後、私は名古屋市博物館の中心部から1時間ほど離れた場所にある大きな野外博物館、明治村に向かった。

Meiji Mura is one of the largest outdoor museums in Japan and houses a collection of buildings, furnishings and documents from the major period which lasted from 1868 to 1912.

明治村は、日本最大級の野外博物館で、1868年から1912年までの主要な時代の建物、調度品、資料などを収蔵しています。

The period marked the end of feudalism and centuries of international isolation and is characterized by Japan's rapid modernization and westernization.

There are a few fun activities available in Meiji mura and one of them is renting major period style outfits which you can wear to explore the park.

Well, I'm now a university student who has traveled back to the major period and I'm gonna visit all these historic buildings.

I had such a great time all dressed up and seeing the historic buildings which also made for excellent backdrops.

The hours just flew by so quickly and it was time to move on to my next destination Before I knew it.

I returned to in Oyama station from where I pick up my rental car to head to my next destination.

Ha Jimin is a small riverside town surrounded by mountains in the middle of the landlocked Gifu Prefecture.

Ha Jiminは、内陸の岐阜県の真ん中にある、山に囲まれた小さな川沿いの町です。

The town is best known for its pristine waterways as well as for being the largest producer of food replicas.

この町は、自然のままの水路と、食品のレプリカの最大の生産地として知られています。

The kind you see at the entrance of many restaurants since I arrived in the evening I head straight to dinner and save the fruit replica excitement for the next day.

My restaurant of choice is Izumi Sacha, a local diner in the town center, which serves that regional delicacies like Hida wagyu beef in whole biology, which is a miso marinated dish grilled over a large magnolia leaf.

After that satisfying meal, I retired to my accommodation and call it a night And that was episode two of a six day trip through Central Japan.
