Akihabara is one of Tokyo's biggest anime and gaming and electronic districts.

秋葉原は、東京最大のアニメ・ゲーム・電気街のひとつです。

And this area right here is actually called Electric Town.

そして、このエリアは「Electric Town」と呼ばれています。

Tokyo has been undergoing a lot of changes over the past couple of years.

ここ数年、東京は大きな変化を遂げています。

So I've been on a little bit of a personal mission to document or capture as many of my personal favorites as I can.

そこで私は、自分のお気に入りをできるだけ多く記録するという、ちょっとした個人的なミッションに取り組んでいます。

Oh I understand you see Japan is different from a lot of other countries in the sense that while land value will likely appreciate over time, real estate or the buildings themselves will gradually depreciate in value and more often than not need to be torn down or rebuilt once every couple of decades then since like yeah, but I was obviously not immune to this.

日本は他の多くの国とは異なり、土地の価値は時間の経過とともに高くなりますが、不動産や建物自体の価値は徐々に下がり、数十年に一度は取り壊しや建て替えが必要になることが多いのです。

I've been wanting to come out and explore it at night for for some time now.

以前から、夜の街に出て散策してみたいと思っていました。

Mm mhm I don't know about you but I have, it has always been one of my favorite areas just to walk and explore.

あなたはどうかわかりませんが、私は昔から、歩いて散策するのが好きなエリアのひとつでした。

There's so many things just tucked and hidden around every single little corner of this.

隅々にまでたくさんのものが隠れています。

Can you see the excitement for example, back there near the station, right underneath the tracks.

There's this whole set of electronic shops that's just hidden there.

そこには、電子部品のショップが隠されているのです。

It's got multiple floors and it's, it's just the coolest little space and that truck is really noisy but actually right over here.

トラックの音がうるさいと思ったら、実はここだったんですね。

There's an area that I once was trying to get as my office or my studio right down this super narrow little corridor here.

私がかつてオフィスやスタジオにしようとしていた場所が、この超狭い小さな廊下の先にあります。

There's a space right here.

ここにスペースがあります。

This is perfect little space just tucked in the back of Akihabara and it's got a sign that says they're looking for tenants and it has been like this for as long as I can remember.

ここは秋葉原の裏手にある完璧な小さなスペースで、テナント募集の看板が出ていますが、私が覚えている限りでは、ずっとこの状態でした。

So a year or two ago I reach out to them and inquired into renting the space and they said that it's simply too old and that they need to take down the sign and and here we are, the sign is still there.

そこで1、2年前に彼らに連絡を取り、スペースを借りたいと問い合わせたところ、「単純に古すぎるので、看板を撤去する必要がある」と言われ、今に至ります。

They haven't taken it down, but how cool would have that been to have an office right in the center of Akihabara.

今は撤去されていませんが、秋葉原のど真ん中にオフィスがあったら、どんなにかっこよかったことでしょう。

I would have loved that.

私はそれが大好きだった。

And in retrospect it is probably a good thing.

振り返ってみると、それは良いことなのかもしれません。

Now.

I have my home office which is larger, has a way better commute.

And I don't know if you've noticed, but the locks back, they just do not seem secure.

I would not want to be leaving my gear there.

But you know, a couple years back, I did a video on a capital where we went to this tiny little shrine hidden in the gap between buildings and I'm kind of wondering if it's still there so much has changed.

しかし、数年前に首都のビデオを撮ったとき、ビルの隙間に隠れている小さな神社に行ったのですが、今でもそこにあるのかと思うと、ずいぶん変わってしまいました。

We should be able to access it down this super narrow alleyway.

This brings back memories and it should be just right through here.

I am just so happy that this is still here and probably equally excited that the camera can actually pick all of this up because this area looks really cool at night.

This little shrine here actually has its own address.

この小さな神社には、実は住所があります。

Like this says she had a cool photo, candy yang yang, no go!

So that has its own address and apparently there's a secret society of super villain artists also just for good measure that there is not the accurate date and time which probably didn't need to be said but you know internet and right around the corner here there are some moderately interesting vending machines that sell cards like this one here has Pokemon cards.

This one here sells photos of idols and he's ones here have figurines, you can actually buy figurines from a vending machine so that's a thing and that runs me of another spot that I want to pay a 12th visit to regular viewers.

この店はアイドルの写真を売っていて、彼の店はフィギュアがあって、実際に自動販売機でフィギュアを買うことができるんです。

You'll know exactly where we're headed right now.

This space here is the habit of strange vending machine corner, there's popcorn vending machine but you'll find some of the strangest vending machines in all of Japan here, like all these ones here have boxes with really creepy stuff written on them.

I came with my friend charlotte couple years back, We did a video that I'll link up above and I can barely barely squeezed through here but I'm actually surprised that this is still standing.

Well, it can be sad to know that so many of the places that we've grown to love will change or get torn down.

For someone like me, it kind of helps to combat the complacency that comes with living somewhere so long.

You actually have to get out and enjoy places while they're still around because they won't be forever like this Lawson right here.

このローソンのように、いつまでもあるわけではないので、今のうちに外に出て楽しんでおく必要があります。

This used to be a dragon quest themed Lawson and now now it's not Japan does this a lot with products as well.

I can't count how many young and they are limited edition products that I have fallen in love with over the years, just for them to disappear.

Also, Akihabara has really emptied out.

I got here kind of early tonight.

So the area was still a little bit busy when I got here but it's well past midnight now and there's just, there's no one left.

I'm actually what, I've never tried to go to this place at night.

Mhm And this right here, his conduct Myojin shrine tucked right behind Akihabara and that, that is terrifying.

This shrine is actually a really beautiful shrine and I've always thought it would be a great place to explore at night.

The way the shrine itself is juxtaposed against the city and it is just extrapolated at night.

I really, I really love this space And amazingly you can actually see we're in the core of Tokyo right now and you can actually see some stars tonight.

This is 100% made it very close to the top of my list of things that you have to do if you come out to explore Akihabara during the nighttime.

Seriously look at how much Akihabara empties out at night.

真面目な話、秋葉原の夜の空しさを見てください。

There's just nothing, there's nobody, it is just completely empty.

何もない、誰もいない、完全に空っぽなのです。

But there was a lot of steps that goes around the corner and everything.

でも、角を曲がったりする段差がたくさんありました。

Oh, this right here is actually one of my favorite Akihabara spots.

ここは、私のお気に入りの秋葉原スポットのひとつです。

It's not really Akihabara, it's more near luciano Mizzou but you get to see the trains go by.

秋葉原というよりは、luciano Mizzouの近くになりますが、電車が通る様子を見ることができます。

I love it here.

私はここが大好きです。

It's 2:00 AM and I am absolutely famished.

夜中の2時、私は絶対にお腹が空いている。

This is the main entrance to the museum by the way, I need to get some food And I gotta get up early tomorrow to also to the trifecta squad.
