Yeah, today I'm wanna phat beet farm and it's a fairly new place in Tampa.

今日は、タンパにあるかなり新しいお店「ファットビートファーム」に行ってきました。

I didn't even really know about this until one of my friends found it online and uh we're gonna meet for lunch and she was looking for a farm to table restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area and she came across this awesome looking place called phat Beet Farm.

友人の一人がネットで見つけて、ランチに行くことになったのですが、彼女はタンパ・ベイエリアでファーム・トゥ・テーブルのレストランを探していて、「ファット・ビート・ファーム」という素晴らしい店を見つけたのです。

It's literally Farm to table.

文字通り、Farm to Tableです。

They have a fully sustainable farm and they go from farm to table and then back to farm.

彼らは完全に持続可能な農場を持っており、農場から食卓へ、そして農場へと戻っていきます。

So it's like a full circle.

だから一周したようなものです。

So it's about a 30 minute drive from downtown Tampa.

タンパのダウンタウンから車で30分くらいのところですね。

It's located in the Oldsmar area.

場所はOldsmar地区。

It's actually owned by the same owners as bone fish grill and noble crust which are two very popular restaurants in the Tampa Bay area.

実は、タンパベイエリアで人気の高い「Bone Fish Grill」や「Noble Crust」と同じオーナーが経営しています。

Bonefish Girl, I think, you know, I heard a lot more people going to before um but noble crust is the new trendy restaurant that I hear a lot of people go to.

Bonefish Girlは、以前はもっと多くの人が行っていたと思いますが、noble crustは新しいトレンドのレストランで、多くの人が行っていると聞いています。

I actually haven't been there yet.

実はまだ行ったことがありません。

Um they haven't, there have been several attempts, I wanted to go, but just haven't made it yet.

そうではなくて、何度かチャレンジしていて、行きたいと思っていたのですが、まだ実現していません。

But I have heard rave reviews about that place.

でも、あの店は絶賛されていますよ。

So at first when they started this restaurant, they wanted to be like all their other restaurants except where they were going to start a garden in the back to provide some food, but they came to this grand idea of making it a fully sustainable farm and they have, you know, they grow lettuce there um they actually collect water and these gigantic tanks from the rainfall and so they do a lot of other things like have solar panels to save energy and they have a farm tours to show you all of this and I wanted to go to one but the one that they have this month in october it's all sold out and they didn't have any future dates.

彼らがこのレストランを始めた当初は、他のレストランと同じように、裏で庭を作って食べ物を提供すること以外は考えていませんでしたが、完全に持続可能な農場にするという壮大なアイデアを思いついたのです。レタスを栽培したり、雨水を巨大なタンクに貯めたり、ソーラーパネルを設置してエネルギーを節約したりと、様々な工夫を凝らしています。

So I don't know when the next one is going to be, but I would really like to go and learn all of this because it sounds really interesting and someday I would like to have a little farm or a ranch.

次はいつになるかわかりませんが、とても面白そうなので、ぜひ行って勉強したいですし、いつかは小さな農場や牧場を持ちたいと思っています。

They also have volunteer opportunities and internships.

また、ボランティアやインターンシップの機会もあります。

I was actually really interested in the volunteering because you get to learn how to be sustainable and grow your own farm.

持続可能な方法を学び、自分の農場を育てることができるので、実はボランティア活動にとても興味がありました。

So I will look into that a little bit more.

If it's on a weekend I would probably, I would probably do it.

I just want to look into a little bit more and see what's all involved.

They also have yoga on Sundays, they have yoga at nine a.m. And then they have later on in the morning they have boozy yoga but today we're going to check out the restaurant and again it's true farm to table, so we're gonna be eating the food that they grow all the salads, the microgreens.

Um They also seem to have some excellent desserts.

Um また、デザートも素晴らしいものがあるようです。

So I'm really looking forward to trying that really, here we are arrived.

I was like looking into the inside and what are you looking for napkins?

Well also we were going we got a golden girl, black banana muffin.

帰りにはゴールデンガール、ブラックバナナマフィンを買ってきました。

It's just so interesting way, double muffin.

それはとても面白い方法、ダブルマフィンです。

Oh yeah, I told you I'm gonna get a lot of them and I take all the pictures and then you can just eat later.

そうそう、たくさん買ってきて写真を撮りまくって、あとで食べればいいと言ったでしょう。

This is the pumpkin woman and then the chip cookie.

Oh yeah, this was the oatmeal butterscotch.

That looks good and this is the pumpkin eclair.

それが美味しそうで、これがパンプキンエクレアです。

Everything that some light is right in my face right now.

Sorry but I just left phat farm and what an awesome place.

申し訳ありませんが、私はphat farmを出たばかりで、とても素晴らしい場所でした。

The food is really amazing there.

そこでの食事は本当に素晴らしいものです。

It's so good.

We got sandwiches and I got the turkey sandwich and everything really does taste fresh because they make everything on their own.

私は七面鳥のサンドイッチをいただきましたが、すべて自家製なので、本当に新鮮な味がします。

So it's handmade and they make with their bread, which you could taste it.

そのため、手作りで、自分のパンを使って作っていて、それを味わうことができました。

Like it was so good and the turkey was nice and fresh.

とても美味しくて、七面鳥も新鮮で良かったです。

Of course all their micro greens and vegetables are fresh as well.

もちろん、マイクログリーンや野菜もすべて新鮮です。

So yeah, it was so amazing And their desserts and baked goods between the three of us, we got a whole bunch of all me myself, I got to moments and a cookie because any, any new place, I just like to try everything as much as I can.

その上、ここのデザートや焼き菓子は、私たち3人の間で全部食べてしまいました。私はモーメントとクッキーを食べました。

I won't eat it all but I'll just pick at, you know, one little thing or a piece of everything and wow their most popular item is there black banana bread and I can understand why because it's amazing.

全部は食べませんが、何か一つ、何か一つをつまんで食べます。一番人気は黒いバナナブレッドで、その理由がわかります。

It's like, it's like you're eating chocolate, banana bread very moist, but it's not too sweet.

まるで、チョコレートを食べているかのような、バナナブレッドのとてもしっとりとした味わいですが、甘さは控えめです。

Which um, and my friend paulina really like because a lot of the suites that we have in the States, a lot of american deserves a super duper sweet.

アメリカでは多くのスイートルームがあるので、友人のパウリナもとても気に入っていますが、アメリカ人にはとても甘いものが似合います。

Not this one, this one was just right.

これではなく、これがちょうど良かったのです。

We also got some cookies.

クッキーもいただきました。

Both of their cookies are really good.

どちらのクッキーも本当に美味しいです。

It's the perfect combination of going up gooey on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

中はベタベタ、外はカリカリになるという絶妙な組み合わせです。

Really big sizes too for like a couple of bucks, which is a good price and the banana muffin.

本当に大きなサイズも2,3ドルのような値段で、バナナマフィンも。

The black banana muffin was just top notch is by far one of my favorite desserts or banana bread I've ever had in my life.

ブラックバナナマフィンは、今まで食べたデザートやバナナブレッドの中でもトップクラスのおいしさでした。

Who knew that you can make a such thing as black banana bread.

黒いバナナブレッドというものが作れるとは。

But yeah, it's one of their signature dishes and whether popular items and it is fantastic.

しかし、この店の看板メニューであり、人気商品でもあり、素晴らしいものです。

You definitely have to try that and you go there, they do have other foods that you could take home with you that's in the fridge, that's all chilled and cauliflower dishes.

他にも、冷蔵庫に入っていて、冷えたカリフラワーの料理を持ち帰ることができます。

They have sesame chicken, lots of different salads.

セサミチキンやたくさんの種類のサラダがあります。

They also had their own salad dressing that they made and sliced bread and they had some merchandise that they sold their goods like hats and shirts, but has their name on it.

また、自分たちで作ったドレッシングやスライスしたパンもあり、帽子やシャツなど、自分たちの名前が入ったグッズも販売していました。

And then I asked about the tour and they haven't put out dates yet for the following months.

そして、ツアーについて尋ねたところ、まだ翌月の日程を出していないとのこと。

Um, because as I mentioned before this month, their farm tour is sold out.

あの、今月の前にも書きましたが、彼らのファームツアーは完売していますので。

So they said they're gonna get together this week to discuss what other days they can put in to add additional tour dates.

そのため、今週中に集まって、他の日に追加のツアー日程を組むことができるかどうかを検討すると言っていました。

So I'm gonna be looking forward to that.

それを楽しみにしています。

Um, I'm not sure if I can go this year because I'm leaving in about a month to go to California to stay with candy for a couple months, but hopefully I can make it to one of them before I leave this year.

あー、今年は1ヶ月ほどでカリフォルニアに行って、2ヶ月ほどキャンディのところに滞在するので、行けるかどうかわかりませんが、今年出発する前に、いずれかのイベントに参加できたらいいなと思っています。

If not, then I will come back next year and um, do you have video on that?

I love the whole vibe there.

あの雰囲気が大好きです。

The employees there are super friendly and helpful and um I believe it's the daughter that I was talking to that gave me more info about the tour, but she's, you know, you can just tell that she's really passionate about the place and she even thanked me for having entrance with the farm tours and that was super sweet, I love that, I love that.

そこの従業員はとてもフレンドリーで親切で、ツアーの詳細を教えてくれたのは確か娘さんだったと思いますが、彼女は本当にこの場所に情熱を持っているのが伝わってきて、ファームツアーの入り口を作ってくれたことにお礼を言ってくれました、それがとても嬉しかったです。

You know, you could feel that passion for what they're doing and they are doing a fantastic job.

彼らのやっていることに対する情熱が伝わってきて、素晴らしい仕事をしていると思います。

The whole place is very clean, it's very huge, like the statue, their farm area a little bit and it looks *** and span clean of a huge space.

全体的に非常にきれいで、それは非常に巨大な、像のように、彼らの農場のエリアを少しして、それは巨大な空間の***とスパンクリーンに見えます。

I got to see a little bit of their solar panel station and yeah, I mean, I'm very impressed with this place in Tampa who knew existed and I'm glad they made something like this and I hope that, you know, we'll have more places like this in the future in the Tampa Bay Area because I like this concept, I like this concept of you know, being fully sustainable like that and they're passionate about teaching others how to do it too.

タンパにこのような場所があることを知り、とても感銘を受けました。このようなものを作ってくれたことを嬉しく思いますし、将来的にタンパベイエリアにこのような場所が増えることを願っています。

So yeah, looking forward to another visit to this place.

だからこそ、またこの場所を訪れることを楽しみにしています。
