Bob's day at work

ボブの一日

Bob works as a manager in a furniture store

ボブは家具店でマネージャーとして働いている。

Peter his boss is not happy about sales

上司のピーターが売上に不満

Bob's new advertising campaign hasn't helped

ボブの新しい広告キャンペーンは役に立っていない

Peter decides to fire him

ピーターが解雇を決断

I hate to break the news but our sales were down again last month

申し上げにくいのですが、先月はまた売り上げが落ち込みました。

Down again Peter

ピーター、再びダウン

Yeah these days everybody shopping at our competition honest Abe's furniture store

ああ、最近はみんな、競争相手の正直なエイブの家具店で買い物をするんだ

But everything in their cost an arm and a leg

しかし、彼らのものはすべて手も足も出ない。

That's true they do charge top dollar

その通りだ。

And their sales people are very strange

そして、彼らのセールスマンはとても変わっている。

They really give me the creeps

本当に気味が悪い

Well they must be doing something right over there meanwhile we're about to go belly-up

まあ、向こうは向こうで何かうまくやっているに違いない。

I'm sorry to hear that I thought my new advertising campaign would save the day

私の新しい広告キャンペーンが窮地を救ってくれると思ったのに、残念だ

Let's face it, your advertising campaign was a real flop

正直に言おう、広告キャンペーンは大失敗だった。

Then I'll go back to the drawing board

それなら、私は初心に戻るよ

It's too late for that you're fired

もう遅い、クビだ

Yes I've already found a new manager

はい、すでに新しい監督を見つけました

She was sharp as a tack

彼女は鋭かった

can we even talk to this over?

これで話ができるのか？

After all ,I've been working here for 10 years

結局、私はここで10年間働いている。

There's no point in arguing ,Bob.

議論しても無駄だよ、ボブ。

I've already made up my mind.

もう決めたんだ。

Oh well! at least I won't have to put up with your nonsense anymore!

まあいいや！少なくとも、もう君の戯言に我慢する必要はない！
