A lot of the time I hear my students saying things like: 'I can going.'

違いますよー。

You have to stop saying this.

この言い方はやめてくださいね。

A really easy way to speak English like a native speaker is to listen to native speakers very often and listen for patterns.

ネイティブみたいに話すための最も簡単な方法は、ネイティブの人が話すのをたくさん聞いてパターンを学習することです。

A 'pattern' is a particular way of saying something.

「パターン」というのは話す時の決まりみたいなもので、

So for example, if you listen to native speakers, you will never hear a native speaker say, 'I can going.'

例えば、ネイティブの人の話を聞いていると、誰も「I can going」とは言わないですから。

'I can eating.'

「I can eating」

'I can walking.'

「I can walking」

And actually, if you listen to native speakers enough, sometimes you will know a sentence is wrong without knowing why, without knowing the grammar.

そして、ネイティブの人が話すのをたくさん聞いていれば、なぜだかは説明できないとしても、文法に詳しくなくても、そのセンテンスは正しくないと直感で分かるんです。

Why do you know it's wrong?

なぜ分かるんでしょうか？

Because you have listened to native speakers, and you have never heard them say that sentence.

それは、ネイティブの人が話すのを聞いていた時に誰もそんな言い方をしなかったからです。

And normally, if a native speaker hasn't said that sentence, then the grammar is probably wrong.

そして通常は、ネイティブの人が使わない言い方の場合は、まず間違いなく文法的に間違っているんです。

So how can you fix this problem of saying, 'I can going', 'I can eating', 'I can walking'?

では、どうやって「I can going」「I can eating」「I can walking」のような間違いを直すことが出来るでしょうか？

It's very easy - just don't say the ING.

とっても簡単です、単にINGを言わなければいいんです。

Just say, 'I can go.'

ただ、「I can go」でいいんです。

'I can eat.'

「I can eat」

'I can walk.'

「I can walk」

How easy was that?
