Fold in half and unfold
Divide each part in half
Cut and remove 1/4 of the paper
Fold in half
Fold along the diagonal and make only a pinch mark at the intersection
Unfold
Fold the edge to the pinch mark and unfold
Fold between the creases and unfold
Fold the right edge to the crease you just made and unfold
Fold the right edge to the crease you just made and unfold
Divide each segment in half
Divide each segment in half again
Mountain-fold the diagonal of each rectangle
Pleating is a nice way to fold the diagonals
Keep folding the diagonals
Next, I'll show an easier method for beginners
Turn over
Use a thin object and a ruler to mark the diagonal
Valley-fold (it will be a lot easier!)
Now back to the other method
Fold all the diagonals making a zig-zag pattern
Turn over
Fold each valley and mountain creases forming a circle
The rest of the paper will form a cylinder
At this point, keep doing the same but bring it to the top of previous pleats
Reinforce the creases
I like to start the next segment on the side whose edge is on top
Twist the model, making the valley folds (diagonals) and mountain folds
Inside should be a circle like on the bottom If you have a flap like this, rearrange the layers
Collapse the next segments similarly
Finished Spring!
