How do you feel?

I felt really nice.

すごくいい感じでした。

Um, that was actually my first award, so yeah.

初めての賞だったから、うん。

Yeah.

And, and, did you, were you, are you normally an emotional person or, did, what made you cry?

いつも感情的になるタイプなの？どうして泣いちゃったの？

Did you just all of a sudden, did that surprise you?

突然思いもしないで、って感じで自分でも驚いた？

Well, I mean, uh, how do I say this?

えーっと、その、何て言ったらいいかな。

Uh, I felt a lot of emotions all at once, um, and that made tears and burst.

色んな感情が一気に出てきて、もう涙とか抑えられなくなったみたいな。

Yeah.

そっか。

But it was great because it was real, you know, instead of some kind of, you know, planned speech or whatever, you were just real, which I think a lot of people are responding to.

でも素敵じゃない、だって本当の気持ちだもんね。作られたスピーチとかじゃなくて、本心だったから周りの人も心動かされたんだと思うよ。

Um, you were pinching your cheeks like you do in the movie to see if you're awake or you're dreaming.

映画でやるみたいに、夢じゃないかなって感じでほっぺたをつねってたけど、

Is that something you are doing because it happened in the movie or did you do that before you were doing it in the movie?

映画でやったからなの、それとも映画を撮る前からやってたの？

I actually did that after the movie, and when I did the movie because I actually had no idea if I was actually dreaming or not.

映画を撮ったのをきっかけにかな、だって夢か現実か分からなかったもん。

Right.

そっか。

But now, now you know that you were not dreaming.

でも今はあの時夢を見ていたわけじゃない、って分かってるでしょ。

Yeah.

うん。

Yeah.

ね。

When did you realize, oh, this is not a dream: I'm winning an award?

いつ「あれ、これは夢じゃないな」って気付いたの？賞をもらったんだ、って。

I'm not sure.

分かんない。

I still feel like it's a dream.

夢みたいだもん。

Yeah, well, it's not.

うん、まあでも夢じゃないからね。

It's not, and you're right here right now.

So, you're not dreaming now either.

So, you've been acting for two years but not really - you've never done a movie.

さて、2年間演技のお仕事をしてるわけだけど、それまでは映画をやったことなかったんだよね。

You've been trying to get something and then this is your first movie that you've ever done.

別の事をやっていて、今回が初の映画だと。

Yes, that is my first movie and...

うん、そう今回が初めての映画です。

They were looking for someone who spoke, uh, English and, and Korean, and you spoke both, and you're just so good in this movie because it's just - I mean, it's amazing to me that that was your first movie.

英語と韓国語が出来る人を探していて、あなたは両方話せるし、演技も本当に上手だったよね、ホントに、今回が初の映画出演だなんて思えないくらい。

I was watching it thinking how natural you were.

観ながら何て自然な演技なんだろう、って思ってたもん。

Did you love doing it?

楽しくできた？

Yeah, it was really nice.

うん、とっても良かった。

Yeah.

そうだよね。

Do you want to do another movie?

また映画をやりたい？

Yeah, I want to do a bunch of other movies.

うん、もっとたくさんの映画に出たいです。

Yeah, because it was virtual - you were, you were at home, I assume.

うん、今回はバーチャルだったよね、だから家で受賞を聞いたんでしょ？

Did you do something to celebrate when you won?

その後に何かお祝いした？

Yeah, um, I had a pizza party, and, we, I bought a red carpet.

うん。ピザパーティーを開いて、レッドカーペットを買ったの。

And I'm like, I know what a red carpet is, but what is it for?

ボクは、レッドカーペットは知ってるけど、何に使うの？みたいな。

Yeah, I think it's... I don't know why.

そう、それは…なんでだかは知らないな。

I don't know.

It started as a thing and everybody does red carpet.

何かお決まりのようになって、今では皆やってるもんね。

Yeah.

You're famous now are people like, do people recognize you? Do they want selfies?

もう有名人になったわけだから、よく街で声かけられる？セルフィー撮ってくださいとかお願いされたり？

I mean, like since of COVID, I mean, obviously I can't, but in Utah, Salt Lake City, um, I did an autograph there and that was in Sundance.

っていうか、Covidのせいで無理だけど、でもユタとかソルトレークシティではサイン会ちょくちょくやったし、サンダンスだったと思うんだけど。

I see, I see, and where do you live?

なるほどね。そっか、どこに住んでるの？

Do you live here in Los Angeles?

このロサンゼルスに住んでるの？

No, I actually live an hour away in Irvine.

いや、アーバインから1時間のところに住んでます。

I see, I know where that is.

そっか、分かるよどこか。

Um, okay, so you've been in a movie, you won an award, but there's something else exciting that happened this year.

それから、映画に出演して賞をもらって、でもその他にも今年良いことがあったんでしょ？

Tell everybody what you did.

みんなに教えてあげて。

I got a dog.

犬を飼い始めたの。

You've got a doggy.

ワンちゃんか。

And he came from Korea, right?

しかも韓国からやってきたんでしょ？

Yes, which, which kind of gets weird because we did like a camera test to see, like, what breed he is, and it said it was an American Eskimo dog, so I'm like, but it's from Korea.

そう、なんか変な感じだったんだけど。だってカメラテストしてこの犬はアメリカンエスキモー犬だって言ったんだけど、ボク的には「でも韓国から来たんだよ」みたいな。

-Anyway, he's one. -He's very cute.

まあでも、この子とってもかわいいから。

What's his name?

名前は？

His name is Cream.

クリーム。

Cream because his color is kind of cream colored - I get it.

色かクリーム色っぽいから、クリームだと。なるほどね。

It's a good name.

良い名前だね。

-Is that your only pet? You have that one dog? -Yeah.

ペットはこの子だけ？犬が1頭だけ？ そう。

Yeah, that's great.

そっか、いいね。

-He must be so happy because you rescued him. -Yeah, and...

Um, so I noticed that you like to wear suits, but you're gonna to probably do a lot more like award shows and stuff.

えっと、スーツを着るのが好きそうに見えたから、これからも授賞式とかたくさん出る機会もあると思うけど

And since it's virtual, they only see the top of you.

今はバーチャルが主流だから、上半身しか見えないでしょ。

So, we got you something, so you'd be cozy and comfy at home, but you look good.

だから、家でくつろぎながらもオシャレに見えるようなものを調達してきました。

So, it's sweat pants on the bottom and then it looks like you're all dressed up on top.
