You worked on the technical team for the movie.

So for those who don't know, what does the tech team do?

The technical director team, which is the team that we're currently on, is kind of the bridge between technology and production.

It's our responsibility to make sure that we have everything that we need on a technical level in order to complete this movie.

None of the work that we do actually shows up on screen, but the TDs end up touching almost every shot that comes through.

We work very closely with the artists and with the engineers to make sure that the artists have what they need.

It's a little bit behind the scenes, but I feel like it's just as important, and it's also super fun.

There's always a technical challenge to work on every day, and that's what I love about it the most.

You all have been with Walt Disney Animation Studios for years.

And have you seen the technology of Walt Disney Animation Studios evolved over time, So I'm curious of what were the steps of evolution of technology that led to Ryan the Last Dragon.

また、ウォルト・ディズニー・アニメーション・スタジオの技術の進化をご覧になったことがあると思いますが、「ライアン・ザ・ラスト・ドラゴン」に至るまでの技術の進化はどのような段階だったのでしょうか。

I think Ryan is really interesting because it's a movie that's brought together the technology that we've been working on, probably for about the last 10 years.

ライアン』は、私たちがおそらくこの10年ほどかけて開発してきた技術を結集した映画なので、とても面白いと思います。

We have Hyperion, which is our final frame in house renderers from Big Hero six.

We also have the water from marijuana, and the advancement of our first system that we saw in Utopia are upgraded volumetric and environment tool set systems that we saw unfrozen to.

We're working on some really cool stuff for the future, so we're really excited for everyone to see where it's at right now, knowing we're going to take it even further on our next movie.

Is there a particular moment in the movie are working on the movie that your team is particularly proud of?

One of our team members actually went and helped hand place all the drones in the movie because there's so much effects and in general, let's say we have such an amazing team that just made it look so easy.

映画の中ではたくさんのエフェクトが使われているので、チームメンバーの一人が実際にドローンの設置を手伝ってくれましたが、このような素晴らしいチームのおかげで、とても簡単に見えました。

It's just really amazing that they were able to do that, especially during really hard times.

困難な時期にそれを可能にしたことは本当に素晴らしいことです。

And it was very inspiring to me and made me want to be a better TV myself and a better person, just seeing how strong they were and how resilient they were.

You know, I can't imagine how difficult it was to finish from people's homes.

So how do you feel that your team dynamic allowed for such an accomplishment?

We saw our team as humans first, and we wanted to make sure that they knew that we were always there for them, like whatever they needed.

We wanted to make sure that they took care of themselves, their families and their mental health.

First like that was very important to us to make sure that we built a really strong community.

You're all part of such a strong female team.

How does that empower you as individuals and collaborators?

I know I'm able to do my best work because of these two right here.

We had such an amazing team and we were so collaborative and honestly, we had so much trust between us that I know that they always had my back and hopefully the same vice versa.

It really empowers me to use my voice and share my story to help inspire others that they can do this too, and that they can be just as successful.

I hope that in the future, like an all female tech team would just be normal and that we just see more of it.

This is not a rule I was aware of when I first came to the States, and I'm hoping that with this role, I'm able to also help people who are thinking of STEM, which is science, technology, engineering and math.

これは、私がアメリカに来たばかりの頃には意識していなかったルールであり、この役割で、STEM（科学、技術、工学、数学）を考えている人たちの手助けもできたらと思っています。

C computer animation as fun and stem as fun.

Cコンピュータアニメーションの楽しさ、ステムの楽しさ。

And I'm hoping that this is a more accessible roll in the future.

The movie has so many great things, but some things I hope that they take away from the movie are just that It's okay to ask for help.

With a strong support system, you can get through anything also, I'm super excited that we're also as a studio just trying to have more representation and doing the Southeast Asian stories and super important.
