we didn't Love it off the get go

On our first listen I was kind of like "yeah, it's all right"

but when the chorus hit all like "Someone call a doctor"

I was "Mmm! It's my jam!"

One thing we want to mention about the song

Is something we don't regularly mention on our KMM talks

We don't usually mention albums as a whole when we talk about out KMM segment

This time, though, we bought the album beforehand and when we listened to it

we discovered that "Overdose" was actually not our favorite song on the album

"Moonlight" is actually my favorite song

And Simon really likes "Thunder"

That didn't get MVs, that are also awesome as well

Something I was really happy about was the rap breakdown

It wasn't too jarringly different and displaced from the rest of the song

Like a lot of rap breakdowns are

So I really appreciated that

But I don't really think they did a good job

of shooting it in the video

He looks just a bit too pretty and well groomed

And well kept to have such a growly voice rap

[Chanyeol's magestic growly-voiced rap]

I'm expecting a verse like that

To come out of someone who is all tatted up and weighing at least 200lbs

And having a goatee or something

It was phenomenal

But the beginning scenes and the maze were a bit bizarre

at first I got nostalgic because it kind of reminded me of "Mirotic"

Which is pretty much the best MV ever

Then it just starts getting silly

Someone starts off by wearing his dad's dress shirt

That is too big for him

And he is wearing his mom's eyeshadow

Which way passed the acceptable line of guy-liner

Two other members then try shaking hands with their water reflections

Which, I'll admit, is cute when you see puppies and kitties trying to play with their reflection

on video

But in people that are adults and should have more developed

skills in that, I'm a little bit more concerned than I am amused

And then another member is given a falling floating box

from the Hunger Games

Ooh I wonder how it's going to help me to survive

Is it bullets?

Ok, and this whole trend of Kpop boys banging on walls

and grounds with two fists

Kind of needs to end

It's just starting to get silly

As for the dance of the song

EXO are Awesome!

I remember first getting into Kpop

And being amazed by all the fun dance moves

And then the more I got into it

The more I was able to pick out those dancers that were doing it for fun

And those that were wicked passionate about dancing

Taemin from SHINee was one of thise people

That blew me away with their incredible dancing

And very clear passion

But I swear, when I watch all of EXO together

I feel like each one of them is putting every last bit of their souls into the dance moves

And the way they interact with each other

while dancing

The waves at the end of the video

and the banging on everyone's head

It's just visually overwhelming

Cudos to their choreographer

for such an interesting dance

that choreographer definitely deserves a raise

And it should come straight out out of the stylist's paycheck

Because good God almighty

what the hell was that stylist thinking?

One of the things we forgot to mention about the style, though

Last week we put Akdong Musician against Lee Hi

And asked you which was the best new YG talent

and AKMU won with an overwhelming 80% of the votes

Wow that is a pretty large victory

Hopefully we'll see a comeback from Lee Hi

And then maybe it will start swaying your mind towards her

I like Lee Hi

For this week's showdown we're putting EXO's "Overdose" up against
