  • Yokohama's Chinatown is the largest in Japan and one of the largest in the world.

    居留地を中心に発展しました

  • Since Yokohama become Japan's Front door to the world,

  • it's only natural that one of the biggest settlement of foreigners, including Chinese, would happen here,

  • Yokohama is home to some truly beautiful parks,

  • and we've come to Kanazawa Natural Park to see if their roller slide is one of the best in Japan.

  • Yokohama has a number of pedestrianized streets that are dedicated to commerce.

  • Tonight we're checking out two, starting with the Isezaki Mall,

  • a long shopping street with local & International stores, restaurants and outlets.

  • It went on so long we didn't even make it to the beginning, as we came in at the end near our hotel.

    帰り道も楽しそうです

  • The shopping streets are marked with decorative markers to let you know you can buy, buy, buy.

  • After grabbing a bite to eat, we headed over to the Yokohamabashi Shopping District,

  • a bustling covered shopping gallery lined with over 130 stores & stalls selling, fresh & prepared foods.

  • The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, we loved it!

  • So now it's just English/Japanese.

    寒かったですが 美しい景色が見れました

  • The kids are in bed, it's time for mommy and daddy... Just about to go to bed.

    横浜が一望出来ます

  • The next morning I got up early and headed out to grab a hot cub of 7-11 coffee

    低地や丘陵 東京湾が見えます

  • and hike up to nearby Nobeyama park where I could get a sunrise view of the city.

  • It was cold but beautiful, and from the vantage point I had a commanding view of the city.

  • From here you can see the features that make up Yokohama's geography

  • the low areas, hills and bluffs that come and meat Tokyo bay.

  • If you look closely in this urban sprawl, you can see the individual personalities of the people coming through in their homes and gardens.

  • Now it's time for our last morning in Yokohama before heading home.
