Hobbit fans, rejoice, as the cast are starting to do promotional events in the run up to
the film's December release. And newly single Orlando Bloom talked fan and character love.
It's funny. I was just sitting there thinking how, you know, it's like a big fan appreciation.
In a way, Pete is fan of the fans. We're all fans of the fans. I'm a fan of my fans. They're
fans of us. It's like a whole, one big giant, you know appreciation for each other club.
Legalos is...
my favourite, if not one of my favourites, he's been my favourite character. He's just
a beautiful character to play, so the fact that Pete thought we could find a way for
him to be a part of the world was amazing.
Lost favourite Evangeline Lilly is playing an elf, and is pretty excited about her character,
which is quite hard to pronounce.
Tauriel is the head of the Elven Guard of the Silvan Elves. She is a warrior and a commoner,
and most of the elves you've met up to now in the Rings trilogy you've been familiar
with and the first Hobbit film are royalties, so they're a very different sort of breed
of elves than Tauriel, and she is a commoner, so she's a little more gritty. She's a little
bit more reckless, and a little bit more impulsive, which is of course really fun to play.
But she wasn't happy about not getting enough action.
I couldn't do the wire work. They wouldn't let me because there wasn't enough time to
rehearse it properly, and then I found out that Orlando got to do his, and I was really
pissed off. I'm going to take up with Peter.
