So I mentioned that I was going to physiotherapy and then I never really talked about it again.

So I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about what I do in physiotherapy for EDS.

It was the same kind of story where people had heard of it.

They knew what EDS was, but they had never really encountered a patient with it before.

So I was their first patient and I'd like to

mention that I've been to just tons of physiotherapy places in my life all over Canada, Korea, and in Japan as well.

A couple places before I actually found this place.

They're much more focused on something like

But basically it's the idea that everything in your body is connected.

So if my hip hurts it may not necessarily be an injury to my hip but for example

It might be an injury my foot that is kind of pulling all those muscles and tendons.

We might have pain in one place, but that pain is actually just an indication that there's a problem in a different area.

So can I solve my EDS through physiotherapy?

Absolutely, not.

What I can do is figure out how to maintain it.

I'd be walking and my leg and my knee would just give out and I just felt like well

There's nothing I can do about this, but that was actually false.

What I've learned from going to physiotherapy, is that there are certain parts of my body that I can strengthen.

理学療法に行ってわかったことは、自分の体には強化できる部分があるということです。

Your abs are really important for keeping like your core is

あなたの腹筋は、あなたのコアのように維持するために本当に重要です。

important for keeping everything in check.

何事にも気を配るために重要なことです。

It's gonna come out again, but I need to keep strengthening that muscle and it's not true things like lifting weights.

また出てきそうだけど、その筋肉を強化し続けないといけないし、ウェイトリフティングみたいなのは本当のことじゃないんだよね。

So I do a lot of training learning how to like flex these muscles and hold these muscles together.

だから、私は多くのトレーニングをして、これらの筋肉をどのように曲げて、これらの筋肉を一緒に保持するのかを学びます。

Which helps keep my carriage up straight and which helps me have less injuries.

If you go to physio and you find that you didn't like it or the person wasn't helping you.
