So we're here at the Hakata Christmas Market.

さて、今は博多のクリマスマーケットに来ています。

This is the fourth year, I think?

今年は四年目かな？

The fourth year that the Christmas Market has been held here in Hakata, and every year

博多駅前広場で開催するのは四年目になりますが

it just gets better, there's so much to do, so much to eat, so much to see!

毎年益々盛り上がってきています。

And now there's music.

With live music and entertainment, sizzling hot street food, hot chocolate and hot wine,

this German inspired Christmas Market in front of Hakata Station is a great place to drop

このドイツ風のクリスマスマーケットは、 仕事帰りに立ち寄りやすいです。

by to grab a bite of food or listen to some music before catching your train home.

The stalls are often staffed by foreign language students, giving the entire market an international

The most interesting part of the christmas market for me though, are the souvenir stalls.

This Christmas Market imports traditional and handmade Christmas decorations from Europe,

bringing a bit of authenticity to the Japanese Christmas tradition.

Many of the souvenirs here are things I had often grown up with, but for many Japanese,

they are seeing them for the first time.

Although it is, the same German Christmas Market, there are a few subtle differences

Hakata is a transit station, and Tenjin is more of a lifestyle area.

Instead of attracting salarymen and singles on their way to the station, Tenjin definitely

Finally, my personal favourite place to visit during this season is Fukuoka Tower.

There's something about the atmosphere here that is very calming.

ここの雰囲気に癒されますよ。 福岡の最もロマンチックな場所だと思います。

While it is a popular tourist spot, the holiday set up is so romantic, you'd have to have

a heart made of stone to come here and not feel anything.

そしてさらにリア充の方であれば、写真を撮ったり、ロックに名前を書いたりかけることもできます。

From the top of the tower, you can watch the lights flicker across the vast cityscape,
