We're talking about special grammar rule in the English language on This is something you'll see come up a lot.

英語の特殊な文法ルールの話をしていると これはよく出てきますよね。

And it's something that confuses a lot off my Skype students.

So today we're talking about propositions, off transport, propositions of transport.

そこで今日は命題、オフトランスポート、トランスポートの命題についてです。

So, for example, yesterday I traveled to my parents house to visit my parents.

なので、例えば昨日は実家に旅行に行って実家に遊びに行ってきました。

I traveled by car.

車で旅をしました。

I got in my car because I didn't want to get on the bus.

バスに乗りたくないので車に乗りました。

Now, does that confuse you?

混乱したかな？

Why did I use in for some words on, for other words on by?

なぜ私は、いくつかの単語のために、他の単語のために、で使用したのですか？

Well, let me explain for you right now and we'll see if we can get to the bottom of it.

OK, by Thistle is a general means of transport.

If I go to school, I would go to school by bus, by car, by foot, by taxi, by airplane, by Laurie by anything.

So this even counts for animals.

Why do I get on a bike?

Because I can't get inside the bike.

Remember if I said on for a car or for Anam violence, I was on an ambulance.

That would be wrong because that would mean that your stood or sitting on the roof, so that would probably not be very safe, and I wouldn't recommend it.

I get on a train on a ship or on a plane, and this is because not only can we get inside of these vehicles, but we can also move around.

I can walk on a plane, I can walk on a train.

I can walk on a coach or a bus, so we use on for anything that we can get inside on walk around.

We only use in when it's something that we get inside.

But we can't really walk around, so we get in the car.

でも、本当に歩き回れないから車に乗るんだよね。

But we get on the plane because we can walk around on the plane.

でも、飛行機の中を歩き回れるので、飛行機に乗ります。

Their space.

It's bigger on their space.
