We grew up as military brats, so we're used to moving from place to place.

It's so busy

OMG it's so packed.

OMGとても詰まっています。

Everybody's here to see the sakura so it's super packed right now.

みんな桜を見に来ているので、今は超満員です。

Cindy said it's usually not like this but it's because of the cherry blossom season.

シンディは普段はこんなことはないと言っていましたが、桜の季節だからこそ。

I mean I usually don't have policemen here...

普段は警察官はいないんだけど...

Okay so we're at the Meguro River right now.

さて、今、目黒川にいます。

We came here for the new Starbucks that's like the world's largest Starbucks

世界一のスターバックスのような新しいスタバを求めてやってきました

or the biggest at Starbucks right now in Japan.

または今日本のスターバックスで一番大きい。

And also for the cherry blossoms. The Meguro River is a famous spot to come and watch the cherry blossoms.

そして桜にも。目黒川は桜の名所でもあります。

But it's not in full bloom yet so... even though it is kind of packed.

でも、まだ満開ではないので...なんとなく詰まっていますが。

It's more bloomed over here so it's way more packed.

こっちの方が咲いているから、もっと詰まっている。

The Meguro River is like... there's like different sections of it and when we first got out of the station

目黒川は...区間が分かれていて、最初に駅を出た時には

it wasn't that bloomed.. they were still out there but then we went to the middle section

そんなに咲いていませんでした... 彼らはまだそこにいましたが、私たちは真ん中のセクションに行きました。

and it was like super bloomed there so there was a lot more people in that area. And we're still walking.

と、そこに超咲いているような感じだったので、その辺は人が多かったです。そして、私たちはまだ歩いています。

It's like... it's ok. So it's interesting that this one section is fully bloomed.

なんか...いいんですよね。なので、この一節が満開になっているのが面白いですね。

But um... we're actually trying to find the Starbucks. We're kind of just walking through right now.

でも...スターバックスを探してるんだけど今、歩いているところなんだけど

And we were just saying like, man, the stores that are around here,

この辺にあるお店もそうだけど

the little shops, they are making a ton of money!

小さなお店は、彼らはトンを稼いでいる！

It's like it's almost like a festival.

ほとんどお祭りみたいな感じですね。

Mmhmm. So they always like... the little shops and the restaurants around here

they actually create like a little... what is it? They stay outside and sell...

There's little booths outside

外には小さなブースがあります

Yeah, little booths, that's it. They create little booths outside and they sell drinks and food

そう、小さなブース、それだけだ。外に小さなブースを作って 飲み物や食べ物を売るんだ

so they make a lot of money. This is the time to make money for them.

だから彼らはたくさんのお金を稼いでいます今が彼らの稼ぎ時なのです。

And everybody loves to drink alcohol around this time. It's like Candy said, it's like a festival. So it's like a party.

そして、この時期は誰もがお酒を飲むのが大好きです。キャンディが言っていたように お祭りのようなものですだから、パーティーのようなものです。

And then it's blooming again so it just depends on which section you go to.

そしてまた咲いているので、どのセクションに行くかにかかっているだけです。

Yeah, it really depends.

ええ、本当に次第ですね。

And then there's somebody selling something. I see that strawberry thing a lot. Everybody's drinking it.

そして誰かが何かを売っているそのイチゴのやつをよく見かける。みんな飲んでる

So we're at the famous... oh, not famous... the world's biggest Starbucks.

有名な...あ、有名じゃなくて...世界最大のスターバックスにいるんですね。

They just opened up... was it this year? I think it was this year.

オープンしたばかりなのに・・・今年だったかな？今年だったと思います。

Mmhmm.. It was a couple months ago actually.

実際には数ヶ月前のことですが

We don't think we'll be able to get in but we're going to go in and check out to see how long the wait is.

入れるとは思っていませんが、待ち時間の長さを確認して入店することにしました。

Four hours...

4時間...

Oh, four hours? Oh wow.

I guess they did wait that long. That's why she was here from afternoon to night time.

それだけ待たされたのでしょうね。だから午後から夜の時間帯まで、彼女はここにいたのだろう。

Your friend waited for like four hours?

お友達が4時間も待ってたの？

I don't know how long she waited but she did not come here first thing in the morning, I'll tell you that.

彼女がどれくらい待っていたのかは知らないが、朝一番に来たわけではない。

I don't think her friends did. She was here at night time too.

We are on our way home now. We just went to the famous area

where you can view cherry blossoms at Meguro River

目黒川のお花見スポット

Yup, Meguro River.

ゆーぷ、目黒川。

Yeah, I was trying to think... I'm like so tired, I can't really think right now.

考えてたんだけど...疲れていて、今は考えられない。

We've been walking all day in Tokyo but I mean it was worth it to see the cherry blossoms today.

東京では一日中歩いていたが、今日は桜を見た甲斐があったという意味だ。

It was worth it. The thing with cherry blossoms in Japan is that

その甲斐があった。日本の桜があるのは

you only have a certain time frame you can view it.

あなたが閲覧できる時間帯が決まっている場合に限ります。

So full bloom is predicted to be this Friday. Today is Wednesday and Friday is supposed to be full bloom.

ということで、満開は今週の金曜日と予想されています。今日は水曜日で、金曜日が満開になると予想されています。

But Friday is predicted to rain as well so I think it's good that we went today to see it.

でも金曜日も雨の予報が出ているので、今日見に行って良かったと思います。

Some areas were not fully bloomed yet but other areas were, you know, pretty much full bloom I would say.

まだ満開になっていないところもありましたが、満開になっているところもありました。

CANDY: Yeah, yeah.

CANDY：そうそう。

So it's still a good time to see it.

なので、まだ見頃です。

Another thing that's new in the Meguro area, around the cherry blossoms is the new Starbucks there

もう一つ、目黒エリアの桜周辺で新しいのは、そこに新しいスタバができたことです。

Japan built the biggest Starbucks in the world right now. They just built it a couple months ago

日本は今、世界最大のスターバックスを建設しました。数ヶ月前に建てたばかりです

It's March 2019 right now. And they just opened it and at the busiest time.

今は2019年3月です。しかもオープンしたばかりで一番忙しい時期に

I knew it was going to be crowded but we weren't expecting it to be a 4-hour wait.

混んでいるのはわかっていましたが、4時間待ちになるとは思っていませんでした。

Yeah, I was shocked. I was thinking maybe one or two hours...

（ｱﾙﾏﾝ）うん ショックだった１時間か２時間くらいかなと思ってたんですけど...

So basically you have to go in and get a ticket to get your place in line and a number.

なので、基本的には中に入ってチケットを手に入れて、列に並んで番号をもらうことになります。

And then we were going to get the ticket and maybe just walk around and enjoy the cherry blossoms

そして、チケットを手に入れて、散歩して桜を楽しもうと思っていました。

but I don't think we could have killed four hours there.

でも、あそこで4時間も殺せたとは思えない。

No way. We were already tired.

ありえない私たちはもう疲れていました。

Well, the thing about this Starbucks too, it's not just like your normal Starbucks.

このスタバも普通のスタバとは違うんですよ

We kind of saw some photos online and they have really fancy drinks.

ネットで写真を見たんですが、本当に高級なお酒があるんですね。

Very fancy.

非常に派手です。

Just like drinks you probably can't get anywhere else so that's why we kind of wanted to see it too.

お酒と同じように、他では手に入らないものだからこそ、私たちも見てみたいと思っていたんです。

But we're not that crazy where we'll wait four hours.

しかし、4時間も待つようなクレイジーな場所ではありません。

The main reason why we wanted to go to Meguro was to see the cherry blossoms anyway

目黒に行こうと思った一番の理由は、とにかく桜を見に行きたかったからです。

So Starbucks was kind of a secondary thing. Hey, if we get to go, great!

スターバックスは二の次だったのねおい、俺たちが行けたら最高だぜ！

But we really wanted to go see the cherry blossom so we mainly did that and we're happy because

でも、どうしても桜を見に行きたかったので、それをメインにしていたので、良かったです。

it was really pretty along the river. All the trees are lined up on the river and there's actually lots of trees.

川沿いは本当にきれいでした。川沿いにはすべての木が並んでいて、実際にはたくさんの木があります。

It's not just one area. It's not that long to walk but you have plenty of opportunities to see it.

一つのエリアだけではありません。歩いてもそんなに長くはないですが、見る機会はたくさんあります。

So like one section didn't have that many trees blossoming

だから、あるセクションではそんなに多くの木が咲いていなかったように

and the next section had a whole bunch blossoming.

と、次のセクションでは一斉に花を咲かせていました。

So just make sure you walk through the whole sidewalk or along the river.

なので、歩道全体を歩くか、川沿いを歩くようにしてください。

And when you're walking it, there'll be lots of food booths and vendors out

歩いていると、たくさんの屋台やベンダーが出てきます。

because they know all of the tourists will be there. So make sure you get some of that stuff too.

観光客が来るのを知っているからですだから、あなたもそのようなものを手に入れることを確認してください。

So yeah, that's about it. We sound pretty tired.

そんなところだかなり疲れているように聞こえる

We are very tired.
