  • And you know what?

  • I don't really trust myself in my current state to be telling this story either.

  • So why don't we go back a little bit and let a younger earlier version of me tell this story?

  • Stop here.

  • I'm gonna take over the story now for just a second.

  • Also, Alexander is here is right here.

  • We're gonna go out and check out send soldier.

  • Because this area at night is just one of those things that you've gotta do when you first get into Japan.

  • Check it out on.

  • There it is.

  • So how's it feel seeing you for the first time in 10 years on beautiful, But I think it's missing something.

  • Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

  • In fact, Justus, we came out to shoot.

  • This was a bit of a running God.

  • You look different when you're not in a racing in a car.

  • Just a few seconds interruptions.

  • You guys, you guys probably know John, I didn't get your way.

  • Keep crossing past Tokyo is a small city.

  • It is really bumping people all the time, is it not?

  • You may or may not have seen him in the comments section.

  • I'm pretty excited about this.

  • Also, I saw the bag.

  • It's a one of a kind, your right.

  • You see, Nagy was like, I really want to get the bag, but I don't want it in pink and you change the color over the white.

  • Not that there's anything wrong with pick.

  • It was while I was the pink of my jacket, so it's a really aggressive all right, that that that's it for now, let's get back to that.

  • So that's been the evening.

  • But where do you think we should start?

  • The 30 the day the Rahman, the rum and okay, you know, what?

  • There was a bit of an adventure there, too.

  • Let's go back again.

  • Oh, so we're back here now, are we?

  • Wait, guys, One thing we're definitely gonna have to do is get some food.

  • Most definitely.

  • I'm starving, man.

  • So So what do you want to do?

  • What do you want to do for, like, your first meal back in Japan?

  • Let's go get some Rahman Rahman.

  • Sounds good.

  • I think I know a cheap place that set the bar low.

  • So I've got this go to restaurant.

  • Really, really cheap.

  • Rahman, do you remember where I used to live when you visited me last time, right?

  • Yes, it's right near there.

  • If you want Tokyo's most mediocre Robin, you want to find this street here called Hisako Dorian This ramen shop?

  • No, dude, it's closed.

  • 320 yen for a bowl of ramen.

  • Guess we have no choice but to go for slightly better.

  • Roman.

  • I think there might be a place out here on the main street.

  • Things I wanted to share something with you guys in the Roman shop isn't even open.

  • One of my favorite little streets and a sucks up is this here.

  • I know it doesn't look like much.

  • That's actually a street.

  • This whole little street right back here is filled with tiny little Yaki Nicu Korean barbecue restaurant.

  • Since you get to this little, like many street intersection here, if you've got all the shops and they've all got the stuff in the windows food to these places can be a little pricey, ranging like 12 to 20 bucks for one plate of meat with just a couple slices on it.

  • It's a nice little local a success hidden spot in the background some bigger night.

  • Share it with you guys.

  • Okay, look, we're really hungry now, so we get food.

  • Oh, yes.

  • So second Rahman shop also closed.

  • I don't think you're meant to have Rahman today.

  • Men were just having any good luck.

  • I see something over on the corner here that says Rahman, Shall we go check it out?

  • Absolutely awesome.

  • Looks like dumping.

  • Let's go there.

  • I know I shouldn't drink all the soup, but it's just so good.

  • Alexander tranq All the good.

  • That was some good Roman.

  • Oh, yeah, Extremely filling.

  • Also, speaking of food, thank you for bringing that massive bag of snack.

  • You're very welcome.

  • I was happy to get Alexander brought me like all of my favorite stuff, most of a lot of he brought me all my favorite stuff.

  • And on that note, this seems like a pretty good time to go back once more.

  • Oh, hi.

  • So we're back here now.

  • Army.

  • While Alexander brought an entire suitcase full of stuff for me, so this might be the second note.

  • Third best thing about having visitors from back home number one.

  • You just get that time with family and number two.

  • The things that I'm looking forward to the most this month is the ability to see Japan through Alexander's eyes, have a fresh perspective and that outside look and then number three, the gifts and snacks from back home.

  • What way this'll spurs off Kraft dinner because, well, craft.

  • In her second, you can never have too much toothpaste from back called Jell O Baby.

  • The biggest dilemma with ease is deciding whether I'm actually gonna make it or just eat the powder body spray because the body spray from back home is just better.

  • What just might be the best chips on earth?

  • Buffalo Wing and blue cheese.

  • And since the bags popped in the plane and I'm just gonna go ahead and mm, I could go through a box of this a day.

  • Who?

  • This whole bag?

  • Swedish Berries and sour patch kids.

  • All my Welsh is fruits Next.

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you.

  • Bythe there's a whole other side.

  • My hazelnut cream coffee beans Just smells great, is not cheap.

  • WalMart coffee.

  • But it's really good.

  • Kernels, popcorn, seasonings and golden grams, baby.

  • That's a lot of stuff, man.

  • I packed a real phone for you.

  • You didn't.

  • He did you so much appreciate that.

  • You're welcome, man.

  • Speaking of takes me back.

  • So we just got off the train, got in the house and started unpacking this stuff.

  • But on the train, we had a discussion about a memory from many years ago when Alexander first came to Japan.

  • I'm actually really glad to see you like looking out the window this time.

  • Do you remember the last time you came?

  • A little bit.

  • A little bit of a story.

  • Don't last.

  • Okay, there we go.

  • There's Alexander's first time in Japan from the moment we got on the train, PlayStation portable and just started.

  • Gaming doesn't even look out the windows.

  • And I'm like, What are you doing, Madden?

  • You're in Japan.

  • Take in the sights.

  • And he's like, uh huh, that trend kind of continued, like like as we walked through Tokyo that want to go to Kyoto, take a bullet train, got on the bullet train, played his game for a bit passed out, woke up in Kyoto.

  • We got to the hospital and he starts playing his game.

  • And this kind of continued for you were in Japan for over a month.

  • Three weeks, three weeks, three weeks.

  • This continued at the end of the trip.

  • I turned Alexander.

  • I'm like, Dude, all you've been doing this whole trip is playing your games.

  • You haven't really been like taking in Japan.

  • Why did you even come?

  • And what did you say?

  • Came to visit you, bro.

  • Boy, did I feel bad?

  • It can have nailed me on that one.

  • So, yeah, the gold of this trip is really just to get some time together.

  • I think Alexander has, like, a whole list of stuff with one thing that I'm probably more excited about than anything else.

  • I don't know if we're going to be able to pull it off.

  • But we're gonna try camping near Mount Fuji.

  • So I have yet to go camping in Japan.

  • All right, Anecdotes are over since we're here.

  • Anyway, let's go back a little bit more because our airport like arrival greeting moment got totally ruined by TV crews at the arrivals gate.

  • My little brother should be out hopefully within the next 5 to 10 minutes at least.

  • Pretty excited on this.

  • Seems like a pretty good time for the emotional side of things.

  • The excitement.

  • Because that's what I'm feeling right now.

  • The last time that Alexander came to visit me here in Japan was 10 years ago.

  • We did do a lot of travel, but I didn't document any of it.

  • Alexander is gonna be here for one month this time, and we have so many plans.

  • The biggest benefit is that this year I get to log all of it.

  • Could not could not be more excited.

  • Also, I'm very curious as to how this day has played out, like what has brought us up to this point in the video.

  • Wait.

  • So with TV crew coming up to me, which is something that I wasn't expecting.

  • We kind of way kind of missed our moments.

  • Who we should recreate the moment we've got to get home, get the suitcases open, and we gotta grab some food.

  • But for now, let's do one last one and go back and see how my day started.

  • It's really bring on.

  • And that brings us back to the very beginning of the dam, actually getting ready right now to head out and go pick up Alexander.

  • I really hope that all this jumping back wasn't too much.

  • It already kind of feels like it might be too much.

  • Either way, I hope you guys enjoyed the video.

  • Enjoyed the concept.

  • If you did definitely hit that light.

  • But leave me something in the comments.

  • And if you're new to the channel, hit that subscribe button, I would love to have you.

  • We have an entire month of adventures planned.

  • This is gonna be a good on What a great way.

  • What a fantastic way to kick off Season two.

  • I will see you guys again.

I give up.
