- Okay, party people.
It's time to go to bed, and I'm gonna walk you guys
through step by step of my nighttime routine.
(calm music)
I have dry slash sensitive skin,
and my removing my makeup process tends to be
a little bit rough on my skin and it's usually
kind of red afterwards, so I just remove my makeup
and go to bed.
First thing I like to do is tie my hair up.
Now if I'm going to bed, I like to use a nice silk scrunchy.
These are by Slip.
So I just tie my hair up in a simple bun.
Scrunchie it down, these are supposed to be really good
for your hair and stop breakage.
Please don't judge me on my face wrap,
it is clean right now and it still looks dirty
because that's how much I use it.
This is a nice terry cloth head wrap from Starskin,
so I like to put it on where it fits
but then I like to kinda push it back,
so I can have like even more face space.
The first thing I like to do is get all of this dry skin
off of my face.
I have a lot of texture issues,
and that can cause my makeup to look kinda cakey
so I like to take off a layer skin each week
and my favorite product to use for that
at the moment is Glamglow Flashmud.
It's very strong and aggressive,
aggressive exfoliant.
You do this on dry skin, so that's good.
You don't need any water to apply,
you don't have to wash your face to apply it.
I rub it on dry skin in a circular motion
and I tend to keep it away from my under eyes
because that area is very sensitive,
and I like to focus on areas where I'm more dry,
and the trick is you, you know, manipulating it
into your face as much as you can because the product
works on its own but the more you manipulate it,
the better, the better result you'll get.
Okay, I'm gonna get my forehead,
being very careful around my eyebrows,
I like to be very, very gentle around my eyebrows,
because over-exfoliating them, you can lose hairs
and I like every single hair in my eyebrows
so you know, I'm not gonna do anything
that's gonna risk one hair falling out
because I need and love them all the same.
Okay, now that you're all cute and sexy,
you have 20 minutes, so you can go snack,
you can brush your teeth, this is where I usually
like to brush my teeth, you can do Instagram videos
and let everyone know that you are masking currently.
But yeah, this is a 20-minute process
so take your time.
Okay.
All right, I like to remove this with the washcloth.
A nice, damp washcloth.
I think removing it with a washcloth just gives it
that extra scrub also.
It's like your final opportunity to scrub.
Now we're gonna wash our face.
That's the next step, and I personally love,
after we exfoliate we need to cleanse
just to get all the grit off and our face
is a little exposed now because we did remove
a layer of skin, so I really love this Sunday Riley.
It is, it's Ceramic Slip Cleanser.
It doesn't foam up, it doesn't strip your skin,
it's very, very, very gentle
and it's perfect for now,
because like I said, our skin is like a baby now
and it's exposed.
So wanna just put that on,
all over the face.
Rub it in.
And like I said, even if you put water and kind of
tried to foam it up, it's not one of those cleansers
that foams up, so don't worry about it.
All right, this washcloth's a little more damp.
I'm gonna take it off the same way,
just making sure to go outward
and upward, as I'm removing the cleanser.
Being careful around my eyebrows and my eyes.
Now that we're clean, we're gonna tone.
I think toning is completely underrated,
people forget about it and people are just like toner,
whatever, I don't need it.
So for toner, I like to use, please forgive me
if I mispronounce this name, Boscia.
(laughs)
I hope that's right.
This is rosewater mist and it also has
a little bit of witch hazel in it,
not too much witch hazel where it's gonna dry out our skin
because that is not what we're trying to do.
So what I like to do is just
give myself a nice mist, and this mist,
when I tell you it's literally superfine,
totally okay.
You gotta dry it.
Okay, now that we're dry,
we are going to apply our eye cream first.
For my eye cream, I'm gonna be using
First Aid Beauty, Fab Skin.
You want to apply it to your ring finger,
is what I've been told from beauty experts,
friends, my esthetician.
Rub it in and you wanna tap, tap, tap, tap, tap
all the way around, all the way around,
even the brow bone.
Tap, tap, tap.
You just wanna try to avoid going like that.
So I'm tapping because I'm preserving.
Every time you tap,
you take off 30 seconds of aging, okay?
I like to put a little bit of sleeping oil on my face,
which is going to be this Sunday Riley,
I show favoritism a little bit to Sunday Riley,
I'm not gonna lie.
This is their Luna Sleeping Oil.
So this little oil does everything that I need it to do
for the evening.
What's fun about this is,
it's blue, it shows up blue.
So we're gonna fill up our little dropper,
ooh, I'm getting it everywhere.
Apply it on our fingers, and like I said,
it's blue, so you're gonna see it.
And you just wanna kinda,
I like to tap this and press this into my skin.
Do not forget the neck with this oil.
Now that we're pressed, I like to add a little swipe
to my eyebrows, get them a little oily.
All right, so now that our facial oil is in,
we're gonna go to our moisturizer, and again,
I'm sorry I show a little bit of favoritism,
but I'm going to use the Sunday Riley Ice,
it's a ceramide moisturizing cream.
It's a really, really, really thick and rich cream
which for me, because I have dry skin,
I like it to be thick and rich
because by the time I wake up,
sometimes just from sleeping,
my skin can feel and look dry.
I like to tap this on also.
And I love, love, love the way this smells.
Oh, it smells so good.
(calm music)
If there's anything extra on my hands,
'cause I did go a little bit crazy,
so I do have extra, I like to just put it
on the back of my hands,
because you can never have enough hand cream also.
And you can get, you can show aging in your hands, too.
Okay, so now that I have moisturized my face,
I like to moisturize my lips,
and Kylie Skin, Kylie Jenner's lil' lip balm,
is the bomb, mainly because it's very moisturizing
but I love it because it's also shiny, so,
you look kinda cute after you have it on.
And last but not least,
I heard growing up
that if you use products by La Mer,
you are very rich, because this stuff is expensive.
So I like to use this
when I want to feel very rich.
You know what, one second.
(beep)
Okay, I'm back.
Now I feel really rich.
So back to what I was telling you about La Mer.
I feel like you have to say it with an accent
'cause it's just so fancy.
So this is the body cream, they have a face cream
that is also very thick and rich,
if you want to invest in one of those,
so I like to do my neck and chest as my final step.
And you know, I don't, I'm not sure the right way
to do your neck, but people say rub up,
some people say rub back, I do it all
but I like to get my chest, make sure you get your chest
and make sure that's really, really moisturized before bed
and again, if there's extra,
back of the hands, baby, back of the hands,
and that is going to bed with me.
