The owner of the Rockets, Tilman Fertitta, admitted something.

He said.

None of us fear L.

A Lakers or the Clippers or Denver like we feared Golden State.

It's not like how we were scared of them.

He was with Stephen A on SportsCenter last night.

We were obsessed with Golden State.

Everybody was obsessed with them, and and all I said was there's a bunch of really good teams in the Western Conference this year.

I mean, we're one game out of the fifth spot.

We're 2.5 games out of the second spot, and we don't fear anybody.

We feel like we can win it all as well as the Clippers and the Lakers in Denver.

Here's what I think the great Jalen Rose joins us this morning, and I mean, I think he's just telling you the truth that for the last several years in the n b A.

Basically people just sort of threw in the talent.

We can't beat Golden State no matter what we do.

And so, while I think people will see this as though he's sort of this is shade against the Lakers or the Clippers or whatever.

I think it's sort of an honest assessment of where we are.

He's basically acknowledging what we all know that a super team doesn't exist.

You had a Splash Brothers and Kevin Durant and Draymond Green plan in the all NBA level.

It was unfair for the rest of the league.

Now, all of a sudden, you take that away.

The Lakers and the Clippers, to me, have distinguished themselves at the best teams in that conference, however, Houston is in a conversation with Diverge and Utah, another squad, have approaches.

Stylistically, there is no style like this in the NBA right now.

So when people say, Hey, in a seven game series that can match up with you, you need personnel to match up against their small ball style.

People aren't gonna be able to do that, man, but I guess the question I'm asking is, do you feel like most of the teams, if not all the teams in the NBA looked at it is though, you know what?

There's nothing we could do like if Kevin Rent doesn't get hurt.

Last year there three times.

Obviously, they win their third straight championship.

In On that goes, Do you think most of the league sort of looked at It is the You know what did nothing we could do to compete with those?

There's no clear cut champion picked yet this year.

In the past, it's been Golden State.

They've been a dynasty in Houston.

Continue to run into that dynasty.

That dynasty no longer exist, so now they have Russell Westbrook and James Harden playing together.

The best they played, the paint is wide open and they're playing amazing basketball with That was game.

The LeBron's, the co wise of the world.

They're going to read those quotes.

Are they going to get involved in the nuance of what it was he was trying to say?

Or they're gonna be mad, not They're not going to read too much into it.

You know why It's great when you're owner has confidence, but he's not playing.

Say they don't care, not playing.

So it is a great sound bite.

It's a great interview, but ultimately got to get out there and live.

And who cares if they do?

If they get mad and That's great for us.

We get better games.

I want to see people get mad.

That's what Russ and James are doing.

No, it's great for us.

But I mean, if you're Russ and James, you're like, Are you writing check?

Well, I guess he does write the checks.

Say what you want, you're under going out there and saying, I'm not afraid of the Lakers for you.

You can take it or leave it.

It doesn't matter.

As players, we don't care what they say, but I really want to give a shout out for that throwback Freddie Krueger way.
