And today we're gonna be playing rock, paper, scissors

to see who gets a hair cut.

- We've been dating for three and a half years.

- She's a musician and I'm a sound engineer

and we met at a show.

- I like Mikey's hair, he just--

- Oh.

(Timothy laughs) - I think it looks fine

when it's longer, but I know that this is the length

that it starts bothering him and he wants me to cut it.

- I usually have her cut my hair.

I think she does a really good job.

It ain't great.

- It's just long right now and he has hat hair.

He wears hats most of the time.

- I love her hair.

You've kind of had the same hairdo going

for like two years now, but I think it looks good.

I like when your hair is longer,

but we can't grow your hair here today in the studio.

- We're not scared.

- Like I said, I could use a haircut

and I would mind picking something

- I'm trusting you.

- not weird, but different for Timothy.

- Don't give me something weird.

- Are we doing best of three?

- Yeah. - No, it's just one.

- Just one? - One and done.

- One and done.

Okay. (Timothy cringes)

Are you ready?

- Okay.

- On scissors, right? - Yeah.

- Alright, let's do this.

- [Both] Rock, paper, scissors.

- Got him.

I'm excited. - You know, like I said

I could use a haircut.

Hopefully you don't pick something too strange for me.

- Bald.

- Yeah, bald. (Timothy laughs)

Hopefully not bald.

I'm embracing this, so let's do it.

- Hi, I'm Bri.

- Hi.

- I'm gonna be cutting your boyfriend's hair today.

I brought some inspo.

So what were you thinking?

- Well we've discussed him always toying

with the idea of having a mullet

and I think we should go through with it.

A subtle mullet. - Yeah.

We're thinking soccer player, Euro, classy mullet.

- Yeah, one that doesn't scare him too much.

- So I'm basically gonna take down

the sides a little bit more, but leave all the back.

I definitely want the party back there.

And then we'll shape the front a little bit

and make it look super cool.

- He'll like it.

- Alright, let's get started.

(intense music)

- I think she probably is somewhere in between

something that's maybe slightly embarrassing

but something that I could grow into.

- Alright cool, let's do this.

(funky music)

What instrument does your girlfriend play?

- She plays guitar and ukulele.

- Oh that's so cool.

Do you guys work together often?

- Yeah we do, we're actually wrapping an EP

that we did together.

It's her material but I helped her record it

and I played on some of it.

I'm mixing it for her, too.

- That's really cool.

(upbeat music)

Mikey, how you feeling right now?

- I'm feeling pretty good.

- What's Timothy like?

- She's very sweet.

She's one of the most empathetic people

I've ever met in my life.

We like to take trips, we go down to Mexico a lot.

Finish the projects up that we're working on together.

I think she picked something that she knew I wanted

but was too scared to actually get.

So I'm excited to see the outcome.

(upbeat music)

- I'm excited.

- I'm excited, too.

(Timothy gasps) - Cool!

Turn around. - Do you love it?

- Well okay, but don't look in the mirror.

- It rocks, doesn't it?

- I'm excited to see what you think.

It's definitely different, I've never seen you

with a haircut like this. - Okay.

(upbeat music)

Oh hell yeah.

(Timothy laughs)

- That's a very Mikey reaction.

- I'm so down with this.

How do I see that back?

- There.

- Right. - And then look in that one.

- Oh hell yeah, I'm way into this.

- Good job.

- Yes!

- He can trust me.

I still don't know what would happen

if he had won the rock, paper, scissors.

But I would definitely pick his haircut again.

- We would've just removed your bangs and that was it.

- Right.

- You always are allowed to cut my hair.

- Cool. - Forever.

- Great!
