on the steps, would you?

- Oh, well actually I was just on my way

to the post office.

- Okay. (sighs)

- Is something wrong?

- Well, I've been sitting here on the steps

hoping someone I know would come and sit with me,

but nobody did.

- Oh, well why do you want someone to sit

with you so much?

- Well, these steps are very special.

They're not just a bunch of stairs, you know.

They're a big part of Sesame Street.

It's where we sit and talk and have fun.
