  • This is a phrase we use to show that we are happy with the development or progress of

  • something. 'Hey dude, how's your new job going?' 'Yeah, so far so good. Yeah my boss is pretty

  • nice. Yeah I'm enjoying it.' Number three at the end of the day. This is a phrase that

  • replaces ultimately or when all things have been considered. 'Look at the end of the day

  • if you really want to break up with her then you should just tell her. Ok, just be honest.'

  • Number four, speak of the devil. Now we use this when we have been talking about someone

  • and then they suddenly appear unexpectedly 'Ah Tom can be such a **** sometimes' 'Oh

  • speak of the devil' 'Oh, hey Tom' 'Oh hey guys, what are you talking about?' Number

  • five that ship has sailed. We use this phrase to say that it's too late to do something.

  • is bliss. We use this phrase when we want to say that it's probably better not to know.

  • 'Alright would you want to know if your partner was cheating on you?' 'No definitely not,

  • ignorance is bliss.' Number eight, better late than never. We use this phrase to say

  • that it's probably better that something eventually happens after the time it was supposed to

  • rather than it not happening at all. 'Hey, I'm here for the party....better late than

  • never?' Number nine, there are plenty more fish in the sea. Now we use this phrase when

  • someone's relationship has ended to make them feel better, to say that there are other potential

  • partners out there, there are plenty more fish in the sea. 'She's left me, she's gone.'

  • 'Oh dude there's plenty more fish in the sea, yeah.' And the last one it's not over until

  • the fat lady sings. It means that there's always a chance even until the end there is

  • always hope, there is always a possibility that what you want to happen can happen. 'It's

  • alright, we might be three nil down with five minutes to go but it's not over until the
