previously on tokyo lens on april 1st of 2011 in its exact spot I found out that
I'd be starting a career in corporate management at the time it was a dream
come true but my dreams have changed so on April 1st of this year 2018 I quit
what's up guys so this is our first official vlog since been leaving my
full-time job today today's gonna be a good day but it is a warm summer day
here in Tokyo in fact festival season festival season is almost here they're
setting up for the EBI smog city right over there
what is a creator to do once they've left the full-time job
what indeed some of it starts with meetings so I'm gonna start there today
all right so that was a fairly productive hour-and-a-half by the way
guys this is Daniel do expect to see vlogs from him in the future they will
be linked
I thought that guy was real for a second he's not real
huh look at all that green speaking of green I just released that Ishikawa
video or a went up to note though despite the area's beauty and everything
that it has to offer there's one thing that it doesn't have appeal to the
younger generation but there is one thing that I wanted to say related to
that you see that whole trip was an incredible experience perhaps just as
incredible is what's been going on in the comment section lately I've seen so
many new people jumping into the comments section people that have never
commented before people who've been around for a while and perhaps even more
beautiful than that is the number of people who are starting to support each
other in the comment I think you guys get it I love hanging out with you guys
down there and I love seeing you guys supporting each other down there it's
just such a beautiful beautiful thing thank you guys
she wanted to take two moments out of the day to thank you
even the idea of creating content full-time as exciting as it is can be a
daunting daunting thought to get your head around but it's made easier by
knowing that I'm surrounded by a community of some of the most wonderful
people on this planet like you and I love this because I can recognize so
many of you in fact funny story while I was shooting the Tokyo lens Prix 50k
video I ran it Timothy Messer you might see him in the comments I came out here
to shoot something but as soon as I got down here I got a really really awesome
surprise so I want you guys to say hello to Timothy you guys may recognize the
name from the comments because he's he's always hanging out down there I've got
20 minutes to get this video shot and then I've got to get to something else
and I come down and then there suck how long in Japan till the 15th so the 15
wow that's like it's only a week left don't say that thank you so much for
saying hello
and while shooting the I quit video people kept coming up as well I didn't
get everybody but I did get some who are you from North Carolina yeah no way nice
to meet you I just can't get this video okay I just love the community that
we've built here and you know what before I forget
two minor updates number one you guys fast if I have a peel box or an address
you can send stuff to for the foreseeable future
it is linked below and number two for those of you said you want to subtitle
the videos in your native language I would love that hit me up on Instagram
or Twitter also link below
I'm rarely to never make my way out to this area but I've got a meeting and you
know before before ahead of the meeting this underground passage here was was
actually really really neat hey guys sorry for the interruption but I
actually recorded this entire section underground and it's gone I have no idea
where it went but I lost it we we are not off to the best start are we um
we'll definitely have to go back because it was mind-blowing and cool I didn't
realize it was that much underground there anyways back to the video sorry
alright I'm lost I'll see you back at the also boats look at this framing it's
like the perfect spot to come back and do some night photography seriously the
number of spots over here that are just perfect for photography all right if I
wait around any longer I'm actually gonna be late for my meeting
all right I realize in retrospect that kind of makes it look like I'm doing a
project with BuzzFeed such is not the case I am having a meeting at Yahoo
though and it starts with me meeting my friend cutting well that's one also this
is Akari all right so we're gonna talk and then I'll get you know what let's
just also to all of you who actually picked up some of the Tokyo Lin's Prix
50k stuff thank you so much I've taken it down I may do something else in the
future but for now what I've done is I've taken some of the photo prints and
I've turned them into cases and other stuff like that that will also all be
linked below if you're interested because I know everybody wants prints
and akari's back hello and she brought me stickers all right before I leave
here check out this chair
best chair ever and a beautiful view all right I'm sorry to keep you waiting
while I played with the chair but at least you've been enjoying the hammock
yeah mama baby Sansa get up there Akari just pointed up
it's a priority seat for mothers and babies which explains the size now that
I can have enough it okay let's go
so with my light dying out really quickly let me find a space to talk to
you guys for a second I guess that brings us to the big question of the day
does that mean I'm a full-time youtuber now without the full-time corporate job
in suit to deal with every single day I do have the time to be putting out more
content so I can tell you that we're definitely gonna be seeing more vlogs
there's definitely gonna be more photography and you're gonna see more
regular episodes of the podcast hold me to that the goal is to do at least one
podcast per week hold me to it like like put the pressure
this way
all right I need to escape that wind for a second I wanted to give you guys a
much more definitive answer for now I'm a full-time content creator and I'm
sorry I know the echoing here is crazy I don't know what the future holds but
that's the excitement of it and until something incredible comes up we we are
going full-time together all right guys akari's taking pictures of me I feel
like this is going to end up on her Instagram story let's get out of here
