What does stage decoration mean?

ステージ装飾とは どういうものでしょう？

Decoration is a major enrichment of your stage.

装飾は ステージを輝かせる 主要要素の１つです

You might start with your event name and some lights.

イベント名や照明から 始めてもよいでしょう

Decoration is a way to communicate your event.

装飾は どんなイベントか 伝える手段の１つです

You need to know who you are communicating to, who your audience is.

どんな人たちに伝えようとしているのか どんな参加者になるのか把握する必要があります

The design of your stage follows two pillars.

ステージデザインには 次の２つの柱が必要です

One is identity. The other one is the balance.

１つ目は アイデンティティー もう１つは バランスです

The identity is how you translate the theme into a visual stage design.

アイデンティティーとはイベントのテーマを ステージの視覚的デザインに反映することです

So, why not add further elements to the stage?

その方法として ステージに さらに要素を加えちゃいましょう

If your theme is about nature, put in some plants.

もしテーマが自然に関するものなら 植物をステージに置きましょう

Or it can also be abstract.

もしくは 抽象的な ものでも良いでしょう

For instance, you could throw ornaments or illustrations.

例えば 飾りつけをしたり イラストを加えてみるのもいいですね

The other important thing is to keep the balance.

もう１つの重要なことは バランスを保つことです

The stage should not take over the show.

ステージがショー自体より 目立ってはいけません

It should support the event, not make the event.

イベントの脇役であるべきで 主役になってはいけません

All elements must have a purpose.

すべての要素がそれぞれの目的を 持っていることが必要です

The speaker must be the hero on stage.

スピーカーはステージの ヒーローでなければなりません

It might not be necessary to spend big budget here,

ステージに大きな予算を 傾ける必要はないかもしれませんが

but still, it is important to calculate this on your event plans.

それでも 計画にステージ周りの 予算を組んでおくことが大切です

Be aware of safety issues.

安全性にも 目を向けてください

Nothing should fall down or even hit the speaker or someone in the audience

何かが落ちてきたり スピーカーや参加者に 当たるようなことは絶対避けてください

There might be some people walking by, and touching things.

すぐそばを横切る人がいたり 触ったりする人もいるかもしれません

They should not be fragile.

もろく壊れるような物は ダメです

Maybe, there is someone in your volunteer team who can design the stage.

ボランティアチームの中に ステージデザインのできる人がいるかもしれませんが

Maybe, you need to hire a designer for that.

プロのデザイナーを 雇う必要のある場合もあるでしょう

Or just do it on your own.

そうでなければ 自分でやってしまいましょう
