  • offers and if this is something that you're interested in working with me one

  • on one I can give you details about that at the end of this video so you have a

  • presentation that you have to deliver soon at work and you're wondering how do

  • you prepare for it so that you can deliver it with confidence and do a good

  • job well not to worry I'll walk you through my clear strategy on what you

  • need to do before and during the presentation so that you can deliver it

  • in a confident way so before the presentation you need to do two things

  • step one is to understand the purpose of what you're meant to do this may seem

  • obvious but if you don't actually understand the purpose of what you're

  • presenting and what you're going to be delivering then you're not going to be

  • delivering a very good presentation so make sure you're very clear on the

  • purpose of this presentation and if you're not clear ask the people who you

  • need to talk to that will help you to get clear whether it's your manager your

  • boss your co-workers to ensure that you deliver the presentation in a way that's

  • to the point and that is specific to the purpose step two is to read or analyze

  • the case project or assignment carefully by considering the facts and details

  • you're given this obviously ties hand-in-hand with step one which is to

  • understand the purpose but you need to fully go through the details of the

  • assignment of the case study the project whatever it is and make sure that you're

  • taking into account the most relevant details the most relevant facts and use

  • that as part of your analysis without considering all the different details

  • and facts available you will be showcasing a very narrow presentation

  • that perhaps maybe even just one-sided or biased and that's not going to

  • reflect well on you as a professional so you want to make sure that you consider

  • all the facts that are available to you all right now once you've done those two

  • first two steps before the presentation now

  • that you're getting to prepare the presentation you want to follow through

  • on these next five steps step one is to reiterate the purpose of the assignment

  • remind the audience as to the overall purpose of the case study the project

  • the assignment that you've worked on and the goal that you were trying to achieve

  • this helps your audience who is likely a mixture of different types of

  • individuals at different levels and have different positions all get onto the

  • same page when you can reiterate the purpose of the assignment the purpose of

  • what you're going to present it helps everyone to stay focused and know what

  • you're going to talk about step number two and do a good presentation is to

  • state your unique assumptions and factors that needed to be considered in

  • your analysis in situations where you notice that there were important

  • assumptions data facts details that needed to be considered and weren't

  • originally considered it's good to articulate and mention them here right

  • in the presentation because it gives the audience comfort that you did a thorough

  • analysis and it helps them to understand that you were able to take into account

  • concepts and facts and details that they didn't originally think of so it gives

  • the audience comfort in your ability to analyze and it's actually setting the

  • stage for how they're gonna feel about you as you continue the presentation

  • step number three briefly describe the types of analysis you performed now you

  • don't want to bore your audience with all the details of all the different

  • types of analysis you did instead you just want to name the different types of

  • analysis that you performed and the purpose as to what each type of analysis

  • was meant to achieve this helps the audience to understand the different

  • types of analysis that you performed and also allows them the ability to

  • visualize the work that you did so if your analysis involved charts and graphs

  • you definitely want to include the images on the presentation slides don't

  • clutter them up with too many analysis at the same time just one per slide is

  • good enough step four is then to clearly state your results and the impact on the

  • company or team once you've described your analysis now

  • can talk about your findings but again be clear and succinct what it means to

  • the team what it means to the company overall and

  • finally step five is to state your recommendation the key to closing your

  • presentation well is to offer a recommendation based on your analysis

  • based on the results that you found and understanding of how that's going to

  • impact the team and the company what would your recommended solution be you

  • want to state it clearly you want to state it confidently and that's how

  • you're going to end off your presentation so there you have it those

  • are my key steps and strategy on how to structure your presentation whether it's

  • in front of a potential employer or already at your work in a group meeting

  • now if you're someone who has been currently interviewing for the last

  • little while you've been going on interviews and maybe you've had some

  • panel interviews as well and you've been struggling to land your next job offer
