  • Oh, Judy and offer here from doing english dot com once again here in the gym who I'm just done with my workout for the day for a cycle home.

  • I need to catch my breath.

  • What a better time to do a video that Moss, I am catching, said breath.

  • I am.

  • I have to be perfectly honest, super busy at the moment.

  • And it's not often that I have to say that because I've injured my I've engineered my life to be such that I'm generally not that busy Pigeons.

  • The advantage of working at a gym come to see you on.

  • There it goes, uh, biggest my PhD thesis.

  • What?

  • The first draft of my PhD pieces, Anyway, I need to have a complete draft off the whole thing submitted by the 15th of this month.

  • That's four days from now.

  • At the time of recording, it will then come back and I'll have to fix and parts.

  • But I mean, the bulk of it will be dumb.

  • So right now all I am pretty much doing 12 hours a day is writing, writing, writing, reading back over what I've done.

  • Editing, tweaking Mawr, writing on and Yeah, that's making me quite busy, because I do have other things that I have to get done as well.

  • Accounting, for example, which isn't quite finished for this month.

  • And that's also got to be in on the 15th.

  • Um, but despite how bloody busy I am of all this stuff, here I am in the gym.

  • Wine Judean.

  • Why?

  • Why don't you just go to the gym, save yourself a couple of hours?

  • Because that's how much it takes point on my cycle up here.

  • Uh, by time I actually do my work and then cycle back home.

  • We're talking about two hours out of my day, shortly that two hours would be better spent on more writing or doing other stuff.

  • And you would think that.

  • But the answer is no.

  • You see Parkinson's law, first of all, any task expands to fill the time available.

  • And if I gave myself an extra two hours, it doesn't really mean I would get an extra two hours off of stuff done.

  • I would just spend an extra two hours pretty much doing the same amount as I do anyway, Not only this, but the fact that I'm not working out will mean that my energy levels or suffer on this is very much mistake that I used to make in the past.

  • To think up is busy, Um, or I'm too tired to go out running.

  • I'm too tired to go to the gym and so I'd skip it.

  • Well, the reason I was tired is because I wasn't getting out.

  • I wasn't exercising as a result.

  • My health was suffering.

  • I didn't have the energy that I needed to do the things that I wanted to do.

  • And it's a downhill spiral.

  • So one of my own personal rules and I have several of them is that health and fitness always comes first, no matter what, no matter how busy I am, no matter how important the other tasks that I am working on in my life, no matter how profitable.

  • Because I have refused to take on otherwise perfectly acceptable coaching clients for the simple reason that the only time that they could do sessions was the time when I go to the gym when I go running.

  • Yes, people don't believe me when I say this, but it is true.

  • I've turned down very, very profitable clients because of this.

  • But it has to be the fixed thing in my routine fitness health.

  • Working out three days a week.

  • I go to the gym two days a week, guaranteed I run and then it weekends I run.

  • If I could be bothered that that's how I do things that comes first, that's fixed.

  • I don't change that for anything.

  • And what has this got to do with improving your English?

  • Perfectly honest.

  • Not really much, though I will say, if you are not as fit and healthy as you perhaps should be, well, you will find it more difficult to improve your English to speak English Well, because lower level health well, that will drag everything else down as well.

  • So if you're feeling tired, if you're feeling frustrated, if you're feeling pissed off with your English in general on, do you just don't have the energy to do something about it, go to the gym on.

  • Of course.

  • Once you do it, you can be listening to all the old books or do your lessons like the ones that I make on your iPhone, whatever it is that you use and you can actually make that into a part of your learning time as well.

  • I do have videos on my YouTube channel.

  • Um, probably faced posted on my block as well, about using running time to learn effectively, not gonna link to it.

  • But if you're interested, search correct.

  • I'm sure you'll find it on head over to during english dot com to sign up for my free daily emails where every single day about 8 a.m. Island time and email directly from yours truly will hit your inbox packed of all kinds of ideas, tips story Lana goats for improving in English fast, right?

  • I've got a bit more writing to do on.

  • I've got to put together some bits and pieces for my events in Taipei in December.

  • Remember December 7th?

  • We are having a bit of a garland we're now calling it.

  • But if a party there's gonna be a nominal fee just to cover drinks and things for that, we've now decided.

  • And on September the 11th I'm gonna be doing an advanced workshop where we're gonna be digging into every important topic related to improving in English in a record time, right?

  • I'm just rambling now.

Oh, Judy and offer here from doing english dot com once again here in the gym who I'm just done with my workout for the day for a cycle home.
