  • Hey, guys.

  • Um, Alex, welcome to the Japanese.

  • Have dessert of the French gay cooking.

  • Today we're making okonomiyaki as known as the Japanese pizza or the Japanese pancake.

  • It only takes minutes to make it.

  • It has delicious and bold flavors in it.

  • So I will show you how to make it the classic way with streams and, you know, ginger and bonito place, and afterwards we will make a twisted version of it with them.

  • Well, you'll see.

  • Let's do it.

  • Dream one life, you and me.

  • One won't leave, though you get the best of me sometimes.

  • So first off, let's make a common vision off the Japanese okonomiyaki.

  • I'm not presenting you with the unique recipe because this dish is versatile by nature.

  • Look at the name of it.

  • Okonomiyaki.

  • Okonomiyaki means whatever you want, and Yaki means grilled.

  • So whatever you want grilled, we start by making a simple better in a bold one cup flour and one tablespoon potato starch myself about a teaspoon of instant dashi, which is kind of fish stuck into 3/4 cup of water added to the flower and mix well at the end.

  • You wanna have a nice silky texture.

  • If you're better, is to running.

  • Just Sprinkle some more flour and makes it a bit more at a big handful of cabbage.

  • Don't be afraid of the amount, because this will shrink at the end.

  • A small handful of chopped onions, two eggs, a bit of soul to be the pepper good.

  • We've just built our base for the recipe.

  • A handful of trims roughly chopped a bit of pickle ginger chopped as well.

  • In a bit of dry trends, combined everything gently place a skillet or frank pan over medium high heat, better oil and at a big ladle of better in the center, it should be able to make 3 to 4 pancakes.

  • With these measurements, try to make it thick and round.

  • Get some bacon into two inches trips and place them on top at some better toe.

  • Embed them in the painting after four minutes or so.

  • Flip it over.

  • That's a bit tricky, so you can use to spatulas if you need to cook it another four minutes to crisp up the bacon.

  • Just let's flip and we are ready to finish it for sure.

  • At this point of the recipe, we will use okonomiyaki sauce.

  • But if you don't have it, don't worry, because I do have the perfect just make three tablespoons catch up with one tablespoon washes show and one tablespoon soy sauce.

  • I guess cooking is a bit like boxing.

  • Sometimes you have to find quick solutions.

  • Otherwise, you get knocked out.

  • Spread the okonomiyaki sauce on top and Sprinkle it with chopped spring onions.

  • Criss cross.

  • It was like my anus.

  • You come the unusual ingredient.

  • Sprinkle it with our story, which is a Dr Green seaweed.

  • A good alternative to that would be dried parsley.

  • Yeah, it's not seaweed, but it's green.

  • Last but not least, play some catch.

  • Whoa, bushy or paper thin bonito flakes on top.

  • Thief.

  • First time I had okonomiyaki at a restaurant.

  • I freaked out.

  • I mean, you look at these dancing demons.

  • Totally look alive and suddenly I can't find any alternative for that ingredient.

  • I know it's a lookout, all right.

  • Fresh, flavorful, delicious, crispy and soft with bull flavors.

  • You will love the Japanese okonomiyaki, and you might like the next one as well.

  • Now let's add some American south flavors.

  • I want to make it barbecue style same stop flour water, although you might want to skip the instant fish stock, cabbage, onion, eggs, blah, blah, blah.

  • Instead of shrimps and ginger, I'm adding a handful of roughly chopped roast chicken, another of diced bell peppers, one of sweet going like so and finally chopped jalapenos.

  • Just remove the seeds.

  • If you want to softer kick, combine everything gently cook it the same way instead of the Japanese source.

  • He was a good old barbecue sauce.

  • Sprinkle it with spring onion and for the finishing touch, just a bit of corn, bell peppers and jalapenos.

  • I think we're done good because these dishes crunches.

  • So, guys, that's it.

  • When people think of Japanese cuisine, they often think of, you know, light and minimalist cuisine.

  • But this stuff is packed with many bold flavors, and it's really, really good.

  • So give it a try.

  • I'm sure you will love this Japanese dish.

  • And remember, if you're missing an ingredient, just don't worry and skip it.

  • You have my birthing.

  • I hope it's the flower you missing.

  • I hope you enjoy this recipe like come and share subscribe, but stay hungry cause I got much more coming up.

  • But I want to change.

  • One day I might even make you pay now one Who's next?
