It was made by a group of Christian churches really cared about what was happening to a lot of people that really weren't benefiting from the rising economy at that time. 1939 2 years before World War Two and a dozen years or so after the Depression. But many people was still experiencing the Depression, So these churches get together and they make this film, which is silent. I've added music. They usedto have live music playing piano as they played. This in church is asking for people's support, and I'm fascinated by the issues looked at and by the quality of the film. This is beautiful documentary work from that time, so they look at poor housing. They look a migrant workers. They look at Children and poverty. They look at segregation, they look at alcohol and drugs and they look at gambling and they look at delinquency incredible. They really want. And they believe the parishioners will do something to help these people. And in a way, in America we still have these people, and I'm gonna sure America's churches are doing this kind of documentary anymore. But I find this very touching and quite beautiful. The title is even in this day and age. What a great title. I really appreciate the people who made this long gone. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for watching. Wait, wait.
