  • - [Danlok] Is entrepreneurship a lie?

  • You see it on social media all the time.

  • All the gurus talk about it all the time.

  • Yes, you can do it. It is possible.

  • Be your own boss and start your own business.

  • So is entrepreneurship a lie?

  • Let me tell you the truth.

  • I believe everyone could be an entrepreneur,

  • but not everyone should be an entrepreneur.

  • Just like anyone can play basketball.

  • Anyone could grab a ball and shoot some hoops,

  • but not everyone will make it to the NBA.

  • Because you see,

  • most people when they see someone who is successful,

  • who is a successful entrepreneur, anyone can start.

  • You can start a business, sole proprietorship.

  • Incorporate a few 100 bucks, a quick couple grand,

  • then you are in business.

  • Anyone can change their Instagram and say,

  • Hey, now I'm the founder and the CEO of

  • whatever my company is.

  • Low pair of entry,

  • but the problem is,

  • starting out as an entrepreneur doesn't mean you'll last

  • as as entrepreneur.

  • See, most people when they see entrepreneurship they think,

  • Hey man, it's like this,

  • I'm flying private jets, I'm going to the destination,

  • I'm enjoying life. Life is good.

  • That's not what entrepreneurship is.

  • In fact, let me ask you question,

  • comment below for my fans who follow my work and

  • who are business owners,

  • that you have started your own business,

  • especially retail businesses.

  • Comment below. Share your story.

  • What is it really like to be an entrepreneur?

  • If I was to ask you the question,

  • why you wanna start your own business?

  • You might say,

  • Hey, I want freedom, I want free time. Right?

  • I wanna make more money.

  • Here's what happens after you start your own business.

  • Before you start your own business,

  • you're working five days a week.

  • Eight hours a day on a typical job.

  • That's fine.

  • After you become an entrepreneur,

  • now you're not working five days a week,

  • you're not working six days a week,

  • you're working seven days a week.

  • You're not working eight hours a day,

  • you're not working ten hours a day,

  • you're working 12, 14 hours a day.

  • Making less money with a lot more stress

  • and probably a lot more debt.

  • Tell me if this is not true. Right?

  • And you think it's going to take you,

  • Oh, I'm gonna be successful in one year.

  • You think it will take you one year.

  • It turns out, even after you're successful,

  • it took you five,

  • ten,

  • 15,

  • 20 years.

  • This is the glamour side.

  • No one talks about the dark side. Right?

  • You've heard those statistics,

  • 95% of small businesses fail in the first five years.

  • Right? Some people say 96%.

  • The five percent that survives,

  • it doesn't mean they're like thriving,

  • they're just surviving.

  • And big majority of that five percent,

  • most of them don't make it.

  • So you have to understand what you're getting yourself into.

  • Here's what entrepreneurship is.

  • It's not like this.

  • Imagine you are flying somewhere,

  • and you walked up to the gate

  • and the flight attendant is telling you,

  • Hey, you know what?

  • You wanna go somewhere to see all those pieces,

  • machines and wheels on the runway?

  • Thousands and thousands and thousands of pieces.

  • You put it together.

  • On your own.

  • Piece by piece. Piece by piece.

  • Hopefully by the end of this,

  • I donno how long this is gonna take you,

  • I'm not gonna give you a blueprint,

  • you're gonna have to figure this all out on your own.

  • It might take you six months.

  • It might take you a year.

  • It might take you five years.

  • To put it all together and then you fly and see

  • and hope you'll get to your destination.

  • If you don't, you crash and burn and you die financially.

  • That's entrepreneurship.

  • That's the bad news.

  • That's the truth.

  • The good news is,

  • you don't necessarily have to be an entrepreneur

  • to be successful.

  • I have a lot of wealthy friends.

  • And yes, a lot of them are entrepreneurs,

  • they have their own companies and businesses,

  • but also a lot of them, they are not entrepreneurs.

  • They've never started their own businesses.

  • All they have done is, they've done in assests,

  • that they offered the market place in exchange of money.

  • They earned high income,

  • and instead of blowing that money,

  • they manage their money well,

  • they keep their money,

  • they invest that money wisely.

  • Through time comes high interest,

  • they become quite wealthy, worth millions of dollars or

  • even tens of millions of dollars.

  • But, they've never been entrepreneurs in their life,

  • and that's perfectly fine.

  • Not everyone in their life is going to be a NBA player.

  • Not everyone is going to be a successful entrepreneur.

  • It is a skillset that is not for everyone.

  • I know you're watching this going, oh, I'm the exception,

  • that I can do this, but maybe you could,

  • and maybe that's what you wanna do, and that's fine.

  • But knowing that your failure rate,

  • with a chance of you not making it is very very very high

  • and the time that you think it will take you to just make it

  • time it by three, five or ten.

  • If you think you're gonna make it in one year,

  • think five to ten years.

  • The most successful entrepreneurs that I know,

  • they didn't succeed in years, they succeeded in ten.

  • It took them a decade to be successful

  • and most don't make it.

  • Most do not make it.

  • - [Johnny] Johnny here, and today I am celebrating

  • my wins

  • that I've made

  • five sales yesterday

  • for a total of maybe 2000 dollars of sales

  • is what I made in just one day.

  • I am so so so grateful for the learnings

  • and the people around me.

  • - [Chinese Male] So just making this video because,

  • like ten minutes ago I submitted my job form,

  • and that puts me over a 100k closed,

  • (excitement)

  • Leadership is closing,

  • so as a business owner you have to be a leader,

  • so that lesson is closing as well, you get the correlation,

  • but when you work with business owners,

  • when you close for them,

  • now your thinking,

  • like if you're thinking as a business owner,

  • I just think closer,

  • then you take the business more seriously

  • and also when you close,

  • you close as if their business was yours.

  • - [Vasco] Hey! Hey! Hey!

  • What's going on everybody?

  • Vasco here from season 10.

  • So, it's pretty late right now and I just came from the gym,

  • but I still wanted to make this video because I closed.

  • I had my very first boom today.

  • 1.5k in the bank for my influencer.

  • All right man, so I am super happy today.

  • Just believe in yourself,

  • do what Sevu is teaching,

  • because this show works,

  • and it's worked for me and it's only the beginning

  • and we'll keep going,

  • just going harder than it already is

  • growing even more.

  • I'm happy today.

  • I'm happy ever since I started HTC.

  • - [Danlok] Now, you may be thinking that
