So also, if you do not know how I met your mother, you're going to need to know the character Barney, who's the main one featured in today's scene. He is a bit of a player, which is another slang expression for you, meaning that he is infamous for having sex with a lot of different women. It goes without saying that this scene might not be for everyone. Start with hair. The cougar keeps up with current hairstyles, is a form of camouflage. Pray may not realize that he's engaged a cooker until he's already being dragged helpless back to her lair. Now the blouse. The cougar displays maximum cleavage possible to captivate her prey. You're watching them bounce. She's about to pounce. Let's see the claws long and sharp to ward off rival females or open alimony checks. Yeah, this one's a butte. Go, Barney, go Mountain stuff that cougar the school. See? Um Luigi, Italian exchange student. I was, um, walking to class. But then I notice you, Bella Principessa. Tell me what you want to get out. Rex, I like that. The name's Barney. What I want is you two my place. Two hours. Don't be talking. Oh, my God. See, Miles? Seen what? What are you talking about? I pulled an all out here in budget your time. Well, you glossed over some of the most important voice and your presentation was sloppy and inconclusive. Okay, I think I'm falling in love with you. Oh, God. That wasn't your first time, was it? Although that would explain a lot way had sex yesterday. Oh, right. That Well, you had sex yesterday. I revised my syllabus for the spring semester. I can't stop thinking about you. Please give me another chance. Barney, I teach all day is the last thing I want to do when I get home. But you don't understand why we're going easy on you holding back. Because I was afraid you'd break a hip or something. But this time, no mercy. I don't care how long it takes days, weeks, half a year. Fine. Come in. You can start while I finish grading some papers already. Oh, my God. What happened? He broke his hip. That's not true. It's just temporarily dislocated. Seriously, I'm fine. He's not fine. Mr. Erickson. Hello. I graded your paper tonight I was pleasantly surprised. Yeah, she waas plus B plus Marshall, after I've gone through my eight weeks of physical therapy, I'm gonna get you that, eh? I gotta go. She belongs out there in the wild. You should feel proud. You fought the cougar, lived. It was an amazing safari. I can't wait to show you guys the slides. It's a cougar, all right. A prime specimen. So this whole scene is like a parody of a National Geographic documentary about a wild animal, and you will hear many qualifications that are common Within this context. Prime is used to say that someone or something is a very good example of a particular kind of person or thing. A specimen is an individual animal or plant. In this case, Barney says she's a prime specimen of a cougar. In other words, a perfect example. Another common echolocation is a prime example, which means a very good example of something example. He's a prime example of how you should run a business the cougar keeps up with current hairstyles, is a form of camouflage. Keep up with to learn about or be aware of current news and events or in fashion to know the latest trends. Example, I can't seem to keep up with all the technological advancements nowadays. This is what the title of a famous American reality show keeping up with the Kardashians means, that is. The show is about the events and developments in the bizarre and extravagant lives of the members of this family. Camouflage in nature. Camouflage is the color or shape of a plant or in animals. For that mixes with their environment and makes it difficult for predators to see is also common for soldiers to wear camouflage or camel hear her hair is away for the professor to camouflage or hide her real edge tray, they realize that he's engaged until he's already being dragged already until he's already being dragged helpless back to her lair. Pray an animal that attacked by a predator, for example, gazelles or prayed a lions, leopards and many other big cats. He's already being dragged helpless back to her layer. To drag is to pull something cross the ground. To be helpless is to be incapable of solving a problem, and a layer is the place where a wild animal sleeps. This whole part is funny, because they're using language that compares the cougar in this scene what a real cougar would do to its prey in the wild. The cougar displays maximum cleavage possible to captivate her prey, to display a synonym of to show example closer displayed in the store window. It can also mean to show our particular feeling emotion, skill, et cetera that you have. Example. Leonard DiCaprio displayed his acting skills in Titanic cleavage, the space between a woman's breasts, especially when it can be easily seen captivate. If you're captivated by someone or something, you find them fascinating and attractive, almost in a magical way. Example. When I was a child, I was captivated by dinosaurs. You're watching them bounce. She's about to pounce, bounce to move up and down like basketball pounds to suddenly jump toward and take hold of someone or something. This is the action that many predators do when trying to catch their prey. Clause long and sharp to ward off rival females or open alimony checks. Aw, that sharp, curved nails at the end of some animals feet word off to avoid being affected by a danger example in the wild. Most animals have some kind of defence mechanism to ward off predators alimony, a payment to a former spouse following a separation or divorce. This is funny because it doesn't really fit with the rest of the analogy of the cougar. Yeah, this one's a butte, a butte short for a beautiful thing. A particularly fine example of something example. This 1980 Mercedes is a butte Go Mountain stuff that cougar go mount and stuff that cougar stuff and Mount is what ah Hunter might do with an animal he killed as a trophy. To mount can mean to put on display and to stuff, meaning to fill a dead animal in order to preserve it, a practice that is known as taxidermy. However, this also could be understood in a different way and continues with the analogy. To mount also means to get up on an animal, most commonly ah, horse or a bicycle in order to write it. It's also the action a male animal does when climbing on top of a female in order to have sex and stuff is a vulgar way to describe a man having sex with a woman. Tell me what you want to get out Tell me what you want to get. Tell me what you want to get out. What I want is you. What I want is you. What I want is you. Are you serious about learning English? Don't party done or happening late. Use globally by teachers for when a student arrives to class late, often penalized in the USA. See Miles C minus the American grading scale. for school does not use numbers but rather letters. The best grade one can get isn't a 90% or more for exceptional work, and it continues as follows be 80 to 90% above average C 70 to 79% average D 60 to 69% below average. This is usually not sufficient to pass Class F 59% or less fail the worst grade one can get with each of these. If it is that the high or low end of the grade, we can add a plus or minus, respectively. So a C minus would be great. That is at the low end of average or below average note. When the professor speaks, it is funny because she uses a lot of analogies with school system to criticize Barney's sexual performance. As we see here. The sex was below average in her opinion and in the following definitions. What are you talking about, Huh? What are you talking about? I pulled an all nighter here. Pull it all nighter to spend the night without sleeping at all. Especially in order to finish an important project or to study example, I pulled an all nighter on Tuesday to get the school assignments finished. The joke here is that Barney didn't pull an all nighter to study, but rather have sex. You didn't budget your time well, you've lost over some of the most important voice. You didn't budget your time. Well, your budget is the amount of money you have available to spend for a certain period of time. As a verb, it means make and follow a plan for spending that money example. I just lost my job, so we need to follow a strict budget until I find a new one. In this scene, she's using the coal occassion to budget your time, which refers to how you administrate or use your time gloss over to ignore or treat something with less care than it deserves Example. The course only glosses over the basics and get s'more and detail about the more technical aspects of programming, and you're over. Presentation was sloppy and inconclusive. Your oral presentation was sloppy and aural.
