  • We're in Thailand! How does that happen?

  • It is so beautiful here. Yes, so hot here. It's very hot.

  • Oh yes. We're on the Island of Koh Samui, and we're going be staying here for the whole week. Yay.

  • We're currently on the Lamai beach where we are going to be staying for five nights. I'm going to have to put these back on sorry. It's just too sunny. Haha.

  • In the Manathai Hotel, which is so it's lovely. Yeah very. it's really kind of colonial looking.

  • It's family oriented. Yeah, it's got it's own little private beach bit. It's got a bar. Very important. Who doesn't love a beach front bar?

  • And then we're going to move two nights to a different part of the island just to see what that's like.

  • We're currently on the east side and then at the

  • weekend at the end of the week, we're gonna go to the north. I don't know how they can be the nicer than nicer beaches.

  • We're planning to do a little day trip. Maybe like. Ah ha/

  • Go see more of the island, get a car. And we'll show you all of that. Not decided whether I'll drive or not.

  • They do drive on the same side of the road here and in Malaysia as well. You want to drive in Malaysia?

  • They don't do. Not in KL. Yeah, yeah

  • standard

  • signal.

  • Move thing. What is it? Signal, move maneuver. Mirrors, mirrors signal maneuver.

  • Yeah, I don't even have a driving license. They do it the other way around they kind of do.

  • Maneuver. Maneuver, signal, mirror free signal. If you're lucky and now I'm gonna show you are absolutely amazing hotel room

  • Here's our view the beautiful jungle and these shutters of gorgeous and I'd like some of them at home.

  • And the room comes with a book about Buddhism. And a writing desk so I can write my millions of postcards. TV.

  • Lovely wardrobes with some drawers and. Cushion.

  • Bathroom. Bed.

  • Let's go to the pool okay. Yeah, let's just shove our bikinis on quickly, grab our towels. No I need my bag.

  • I have to get my bag ready. What do you need a bag for the pool for? Umm to bring everything!

  • I'm ready. Finally.

  • Good morning it is 8 a.m.. And I have been awake since 5:30 a.m.

  • Yay, because I just wake up and pain and panicking about

  • life hahaha

  • and

  • Everything. So these weird things about chronic fatigue. You don't actually sleep that much necessarily. You just tired.

  • I didn't really say just tired, because I have a whole video on how being chronic.

  • Having credit fatigue does not mean you're actually just tired.

  • I'm in pain because even though, like I have sore feet from walking so much and oedema.

  • Which is essentially water retention and is the wordest word to spell.

  • Ever.

  • Because it begins with an O. And so like that it swells and make it go kind of purple

  • And they hurt a lot by the end of the day.

  • But they hurt a lot by the end of the day, and they go purple and you touch them and they go white. It's really weird.

  • But quite a cool party trick if you ever impress your friends

  • Get some edema. And then now I also have this massive

  • bug bite. which has become just the world's largest blister.

  • It's really gross haha.

  • I can't fit into any shoes except flip-flops. I think I'm gonna try because today we're going on an adventure. Yes.

  • We've hired a driver because we were told that we would not

  • make it if we attempted to drive up to the hills by ourselves.

  • And we're going to go and see some beautiful old temples and

  • this gorgeous waterfall that is on an island.

  • Island near we are on an island a mountain. That's on a mountain in the middle of Koh, Samui things

  • I'm really, really want to go and see.

  • Really, Oh pumped for the day.

  • But also my foot. Plus side, look at my cute pin curls.

  • Aren't they adorable. My hair's going to be so nice when I take it down.

  • Plus sides

  • In the car now, and I feel more like myself.

  • Good

  • And I think I look more like myself so I feel better that there is the way it works

  • So it's not hurting so much?

  • Oh, no it is but my hair's curled.

  • I also wore on my sunglasses.

  • I got them free with a magazine.

  • Did you?

  • I did yeah.

  • I think yours look you look so nice in sunglasses.

  • Thanks

  • So we got a private car.

  • Yeah, we're gonna go up into the mountains and see a waterfall and

  • there's temples.

  • Yeah see a few points.

  • Yeah exciting day

  • Update on my foot

  • It's very painful

  • I'm not gonna show you the bad side because that's gross and no one needs to see that

  • ever. Even I don't want to see it so bad.

  • I think you should show it.

  • Claudia said I should show it. But that I think that should be some kind of warning though. It's gross.

  • Just show it. Just show it okay. If you don't like gross stuff then

  • skip ahead 20 seconds of this video.

  • That's quite long skip ahead 10 seconds of this video.

  • Hello again or welcome back so it's not only just a huge disgusting

  • blister with weird veins coming out. Because yes, this is what happens when I get an insect bite.

  • Why? Not only that it

  • literally feels like my leg is on fire.

  • I burnt my skin before. I can say that. It feels horrible.

  • And it's making on my nerves go weird all up my leg.

  • And down into my foot. So I keep doing this little nervy shake thing.

  • That happens whenever my nerves get activated.

  • No reason.

  • And, and my toes have gone numb. Lovely. Ahh. But you know what? It's okay because my wife is just a lovely lovely person and

  • made our driver stop at a pharmacy and went in and found all the things I need such as special

  • ointment. She says pretending to read either the Chinese or the Thai. Oh wait it's in English.

  • Embarrassing. For the treatment of burns, scalds, chemical wounds and electrical burns. We're supposed to heal the wound and

  • help with the pain. The special spray, which is is like a spray plaster, which I'm going to put over it?

  • It's still drying

  • But I'm going to put over it in a minute

  • So that I even freely roam without worrying about dirt to getting in it or something.

  • I never really think about what's gonna happen saying it will no longer be a blister.

  • Sorry.

  • Warning.

  • Warning graphic content. And what else does she get me? Oh antiseptic solution for when it.

  • Which is good?

  • always

  • Antiseptic. Very handy. Very handy.

  • It's also very important to have antiseptic solution in a place like Thailand.

  • Because it fights it protects against bacteria viruses and fungi.

  • Which is excellent because most of the toilets are just holes in the ground.

  • Hmm when your going to have to pee and you're really lucky if your legs

  • stay dry and clean. Oh God.

  • Doesn't bear thinking about. I'm so sorry mother. I know you're watching this. Just don't think about it.

  • And then enjoy some big soft pad

  • plaster things.

  • Adhesive gauze pad. Again for once it. As much as I, as much as I love medical supplies

  • my house is full of them. I was rather pleased with the next item that she bought wait for it. Oh, it's Princess Ariel

  • marine magic setting powder.

  • That's so good.

  • It's oil control this powder and it has Ariel on it.

  • But what can you ask for really and it's from Korea and my sister-in-law

  • Julia specifically asked from Korean makeup. She's not getting this one, actually this one is mine.

  • Um, but I'll get her some kind of Korean makeup thing to take back to England. Hi also Julia.

  • She's a doctor so she may be watching with interest.

  • Supposed to the rest of you who are watching like please stop move on Jessica.

  • I am. I'm moving on to this other awesome thing we found. They're post card cubes, and they come I think this is right

  • It's from the actual Thailand

  • Thailand

  • Dropped it. It's true. It's from the Thai tourist trip tourists report tourist board. I've taken some pills for the pain, okay.

  • Stuffs happening and it's a postcard you can send but not only that

  • Look, an elephant.

  • And you just you put it out, and you stick it all together, and it makes a 3d elephant.

  • It's a postcard cubed.

  • Excellent, excellent idea.

  • Delightful. And there's another one which is.

  • They come in a whole range of statues as well as elephants. Well they seem to mainly be elephants. good choice. Elephants are awesome

  • A bit pooped now. It's okay.

  • Well hello. So this morning I'm feeling

  • rather poo. I sent Claud down to the beach all by herself which is

  • obviously if you know us that's very weird because when do we ever do anything apart um?

  • Because my foot really hurts and the the gross thing

  • That shows you has got worse unless I'm not going to show it to you now it got bigger and bigger and then

  • after seeking medical advice via whatsapp we decided

  • to pop it. And that sort of worked. And lots of disgustingness.

  • And it did sort of take the pressure off my foot, but then it grew back and sort of

  • grosser. So we tried to get rid of it again.

  • But it just won't go.

  • And then and now I have just an open wound, on my foot. It is about the size of the ten pence piece.

  • Which if you don't know how big or ten pence pieces is

  • I don't know that I can help you with.

  • But it's okay. It's covered in gauze. There you go. Oh.

  • But my whole foot just feels

  • awful. If you've ever twisted your ankle and that properly twisted,

  • sprained your ankle where you can't walk on it for a week. You will know this pain.

  • It's the feeling like there is fluid within your bones that is just

  • expanding in your bones, your muscles, your sinew. Just in every cell in your foot.

  • This is like it's just expanding. Come on my little foot. It's just all sore.

  • Which is poop because I'm we were also going to do like a really nice little

  • lookbook shoot today.

  • And I have some really pretty high heels, but I can't wear them.

  • That would be a next week's video. That's a reason to keep watching

  • Ridiculously, gorgeous shoes in a few hours.

  • I will join her, at the beach. Put a waterproof thing on it. Then I will just

  • chill. Not too good at that. I always get injured from a holiday.

  • It's a classic family thing. Ask my parents. I think at this point

  • it's become humorous. Jessica injures herself in some way. Although I'd like to think this is injured by something,

  • because something bit me.

  • I didn't do the silly thing. Like when I tore my ligament that time, because I tripped over on sand.

We're in Thailand! How does that happen?
